Let me pretend I haven't already seen the song list x

(although I only briefly looked over it once to check for any songs that had already been in BJSC anyway)

I can't speak on the quality of potential songs from my country in general as I ended up sending a song by the very first artist I found when searching laugh.gif but it is a country that has won Worldvision before #spoilers ohmy.gif (this one definitely won't win x).

It was good catching up on the latest releases from my country, but I've found an insane deep cut and I've been a little impatient for this reveal to happen so I can see what the competition is so I can see the other varied entries.

Before we begin, let's remind ourselves of last year's winning entry.

Unovia won representing Poland with a very convincing victory of 265 points - 69 points above the Danævii runner-up entry. 15 of those points were from Danæviia.

Neither Unovia or Poland will be featured tonight so we have a 100% chance of a different winner this time around.

Next up, we've got Brazillian dance and an anime-inspired track from (of course) Japan.

Brazil :: Cor Lupus :: Vintage Culture & Fancy Inc - In The Dark

Lukas Ruiz, known as Vintage Culture (born July 7, 1993), is a Brazilian DJ and producer. In 2015, Vintage Culture appeared in #118 in the Top DJs list of British magazine DJ MAG and #2 on the list of best Brazilian DJs House Mag. In 2016, he achieved the 54º position and in 2017, he climbed the rank up to hold the best position of his career, being considered the #31 best DJ of the year. In 2016, he released the EP Hollywood by Ganza Seal Skol Music in partnership with Spinnin Records. Soon after he charted his remix of "Drinkee" for double Sofi Tukker released by Ultra Music at # 4 Dance chart of Beatport and even after a month of release has remained in the Top 10 with it. But it was with "Wild Kidz" released by Spinnin Records that Vintage Culture began to gain international recognition, the song entered the "Global Viral" Spotify and received support Oliver Heldens, EDX and Sam Feldt.

The Brazilians Adriano Dub and Matheus R., from Novo Hamburgo, are the names behind the project FANCY INC which already has appearances on major labels such as: Spinnin'Records, Musical Freedom, Soma, among many others.

Japan :: Jadakissnia :: Kokia - Arigatō...

Akiko Yoshida (吉田亜紀子, Yoshida Akiko, born July 22, 1976) is a Japanese singer and songwriter performing under the stage name Kokia (styled KOKIA). Her most well known songs are "Arigatō..." (ありがとう..., Thank You) (which reached number 2 in Hong Kong when it was covered by Sammi Cheng) and "The Power of Smile" (which topped at No. 8 in the singles chart). She is also recognized for her numerous contributions to anime/game soundtracks, the most notable being "Ai no Melody/Chōwa Oto (With Reflection)" for the film Origin: Spirits of the Past, "Follow the Nightingale" for the game Tales of Innocence, and "Tatta Hitotsu no Omoi" for the anime Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino. Kokia often performs in Europe, basing her activities in Paris and releasing music through Wasabi Records, a subsidiary of Kazé.

Next to be revealed are the host entry and Bøtanikkä's.

We were lucky enough to be given Italy and we've gone for some great trance. Meanwhile we've got pop from the Philippines with a retro vid.

Italy :: Danæviia :: Giuseppe Ottaviani - Tranceland

Giuseppe Ottaviani (Italian pronunciation: [dʒuˈzɛppe ottaˈvjaːni]; born 12 November 1978) is an Italian trance musician. He’s best known for his 2019 album, EVOLVER, which included the hit singles Tranceland, 8K, & Panama. Giuseppe Ottaviani began studying piano at the age of 4 in Viterbo, a small Italian town near Rome. After attending music school in his early childhood and studying classical music as a teenager, he discovered electronic music. He started to play his first DJ sets at clubs and on local radio stations in 1995, and he later began to use his computer to produce his own music. He met DJs Andrea Ribeca and Giacomo Miccichè in 1999, and they decided to start the music project NU NRG; the group began releasing tracks on Vandit Records in 2001. Giuseppe left NU NRG in 2005 to pursue a solo career. Most of his tracks are released on Vandit, such as "Linking People", "Through Your Eyes", and "No More Alone", with the vocals of Stephen Pickup.

Philippines :: Bøtanikkä :: GIBBS - No Hearts

Debuting together as “Gibbs”, sisters Alyssa (Chi) and Gabriella (Gabs) Gibbs are familiar names in the lifestyle scene. Alyssa is a print designer and entrepreneur who founded local clothing brand “Neon Island”. Meanwhile, Gabriella is a professional makeup artist who has practiced in Sydney and is now freelancing as an editorial and wedding makeup artist. From the lifestyle scene, they extended their talent and gloss to the music industry. Alyssa and Gabriella grew up in a family of artists, so it was a no brainer that they are talented singers-songwriters who pursued music.

Trifoski and Cadelicia are next..

Trifoski go with somebody that we used to know from New Zealand and Cadelicia send a Dutch singer who is better known for her acting.

New Zealand :: Trifoski :: Kimbra - Come Into My Head

Kimbra Lee Johnson (born 27 March 1990) is a New Zealand singer, songwriter, record producer, actress and model who mixes pop with classic R&B, jazz and rock musical elements. Her musical influences range from Prince and Minnie Riperton to Björk and Jeff Buckley. Her debut album, Vows, was released in Australia in 2011. Singles from the album include "Settle Down", "Cameo Lover" (which won an Australian Recording Industry Association Award), "Good Intent" and "Two Way Street".

The Netherlands :: Cadelicia :: Carice van Houten - Siren or the Sea

Carice Anouk van Houten (Dutch pronunciation: [kaːˈris aːˈnuk fɑn ˈɦʌutə(n)]; born 5 September 1976) is a Dutch actress and singer. Her first leading role in the television film Suzy Q (1999) won her the Golden Calf for Best Acting in a Television Drama; two years later, she won the Golden Calf for Best Actress for Undercover Kitty (2001). She gained widespread recognition for her performance in Black Book (2006), the most commercially successful Dutch film to date, for which she won her second Golden Calf for Best Actress, in addition to nominations from the Chicago Film Critics Association, the European Film Academy, and the Online Film Critics Society. She was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress for Valkyrie (2008), and won her fourth and fifth Golden Calf Awards for Best Actress for The Happy Housewife (2010) and Black Butterflies (2011). Her other notable English-language performances include Repo Men (2010), Black Death (2010), and Brimstone (2016). Van Houten received international recognition for her recurring role as Melisandre on the HBO television series Game of Thrones (2012–2019), for which she received nominations for two Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series

Flynnonda and Vülkyria are next.
