Tim and Calum both ship hody so much that we’re together in their votes (with near identical point gains) |

Thanks to the jury countries who gave points to Menke, especially Republique d'Askorza who gave points to Rolloland for the first time. I wasn't sure if that would ever happen.

The rest of the points add up correctly aside from the few I already posted earlier, the only position affected by the small points changes is FARC being one place higher (ahead of Land of DW). Danæviia should be tied with Jupiterdonia but they win the tiebreak anyway so their position isn't affected.
Tiebreaks: 8th Cor Lupus (25 votes) 9th Hushkanukia (22 votes) 18th Cadelicia (28 votes) 19th Rolloland (18 votes) 24th Kluminican Republic (22 votes) 25th Taahino (17 votes) 27th Danæviia (23 votes) 28th Jupiterdonia (19 votes) Everything else ducky posted is accurate. Will get a scoreboard + the semis up shortly xx |

yay pleasant surprise! I have a feeling 24th is a unique position but who knows now? Glad Lovers got an 18 and a nice selection of voters also so I'm happy with it's performance. Unsure if I'll be entering next month, it felt like a bit of a chore to vote this time and I've got nothing I really want to share that you guy wouldn't know.

slight page stretch incoming soz but just making sure the scoreboards are readable xo
So yes, I voted for the entire top 6 and 7 of the top 10 of this contest, including putting all of the top 3 in my top 4 *.* (shame about Prospa flopping but ah well). I feel like I've barely voted for songs at the top end the last few months so this makes a nice change. Really happy with SOFI TUKKER as a winner, although it was a sliiightly uninspired choice I'm just glad that it has given both acts a big hit in BJSC after previous underperformances, pretty similar to Two Steps From Hell the other month - both of these artists will definitely be vetoed in the future now though so no one else try and get away with them again xx Excited for the prospect of a possible Greenfroze hosting, the last Greenfroze contest was very well run iirc although that was right at the end of my days of entering the contest just for the sake of it and not really following it closely (it was the last time I failed to vote in the semis which I used to do half the time oops) Weyes Blood and mind.in.a.box are both fantastic medallists too, I was fearing after the semi results (see below) that I was overhyping them a bit but not really in the end! Fabulous to see Slayyyter giving Aesthetica a new peak and Ingrid Michaelson was one of the best pure pop songs in BJSC for ages so really glad that came top 5 too, a bit higher than I'd expected for it! And Orbital FINALLY returning Skall to the top 10!! (First time since BJSC 62). Would never have predicted that but amazing. ~~~ Scoreboardses: Emma Blackery winning her semi and Xenomania coming as high as 2nd were both major surprises, as was Aeroche finishing 14th(!) in their semi, but all three reverted to a more predictable finish come the final! Hushkanukia massively overperforming their semi result as well ;o |

Very surprised to see that other than the winner my song had the most "mass appeal", although it didn't translate into a high placing!

Unsure if I'll be entering next month, it felt like a bit of a chore to vote this time and I've got nothing I really want to share that you guy wouldn't know. It's your second 24th place finish (Boys Noize also came 24th 2 contests ago)! I'll include the positions of the songs in the temporary Songs of BJSC thread the next time I update it. The next contest isn't due to be starting for nearly 3 weeks now so you (and everyone else) have a bit more time than usual to find something if you do change your mind xx |
