If you buy an item of Farrell clothing this weekend you can enter a competition to meet Robbie and also get some 'styling' advice (hopefully not from Robbie....)

Robbie Williams - Robbie Williams Involved With Clothing Line

20 September 2011 16:00:13

Robbie Williams insists he was involved with every part of his new clothing line, Farrell, and really enjoyed working on it.

Robbie Williams insists he was involved with every part of his clothing line.

The 'Angels' singer launched his menswear fashion range, entitled Farrell, last week and says his enjoyed every bit of the creative process as he has based the designs on clothes he'd like to wear.

He told vogue.co.uk: "I was inspired by the clothes that I've always worn and loved. I worked with a great team of experienced people who helped me to bring my ideas to life. I enjoyed choosing every detail - from the lining, to the buttons to the cut. The process has been a great opportunity for me to create looks from top to bottom.

"I've wanted to do it for a long time but only now have I had the opportunity to do it. I'm into clothes but not necessarily fashion and I think this is reflected in the collection."

The label was inspired by Robbie's grandfather, Jack Farrell, and he says he got a lot of the ideas from what he wore.

The Take That star said: "I like that it was important to him to look smart," he explained. "It's something I have carried with me throughout my life - my style has always been pretty consistent really. I like to be comfortable but I do enjoy being a British gent and dressing up a bit."

The collection features macs, duffle coats, check shirts, dinner shirts and an array of hats

Robbie Williams - Robbie Williams Would Model His Own Clothing Collection
27 September 2011 12:01:20

Robbie Williams would be happy to model his own range of clothes - providing he does not put on any weight.

The 37-year-old singer - who recently launched fashion range Farrell, named after his grandfather Jack Farrell - believes he could show off the items in the collection, but would have to be careful of his weight and confidence.

He is quoted by the Daily Star saying: "Yeah I'd consider catwalk shows but my weight goes up and down and I would have to feel confident about myself.

"This week I would but maybe next week I wouldn't. That's me and sugar."

While Robbie loved designing the collection, he admitted his ideas aren't entirely original and calls his collection an "homage to everything I've stolen".

Asked during a webchat with very.co.uk, where he gets his inspiration from, Robbie said: "I'm not gonna lie, stealing. Absolutely point blank stealing. Rifling through old magazines, old films, James Bond films, and going 'I want that and that'. It's an homage to everything I've stolen."

Robbie has previously claimed he is involved with all the design processes with his brand, including small details like the lining and the cut of jackets.

He said: "I was inspired by the clothes that I've always worn and loved. I worked with a great team of experienced people who helped me to bring my ideas to life. I enjoyed choosing every detail - from the lining, to the buttons to the cut. The process has been a great opportunity for me to create looks from top to bottom."

Former Burberry Design Director Joins Farrell

25 Nov 2011

Burberry's former Design Director, Ben Dickens, has been appointed by Farrell as Head of Design and will work hand in hand with Robbie Williams, to create the collections

"A breath of fresh air is floating down the corridors of Farrell," said Robbie, speaking about his new partner. "The beautiful Ben Dickens has arrived, bringing his optimism, passion and vision to my Grandad's clothing line. It's beautiful to be at the start and see an open road in front of us. The more we talk, the more ideas we throw around - it's exciting. It's very similar to making an album, after all what's an album? It's an idea. What is art? It's an idea, as are clothes. We are at the tip of an iceberg, and it is an iceberg."

We can't wait to see what's in store..!
