Fun!

Maybe this time I'll actually see the songs I know from the off instead of missing them on my initial scroll through and only noticing on my listen through/when they DNQ laugh.gif

Sadly I'll have to miss this (like with every showcase bar one I think the one Dan did simultaneously with Plug) but always appreciate the added effort with these.

First of all, we have one autoqualifier this year and it comes in the shape of the host nation Hendinia.

Song: Good At Losing
Artist: SVEA

Fresh off the back of two consecutives top 2 smashes, it's Hendinia's turn to host and Swedish solo artist SVEA will be carrying them through the process with dance-pop 'Good At Losing'. She's never been entered to the competition before and she's got big Goliath-esque shoes to fill but we're happy to scale back to September 2019 for this joyous piece of pop!

♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢
Positions 01-05
♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢♢

Song: Ageispolis
Artist: Aphex Twin

This is Jadakissnia's 50th anniversary entry to the competition, she celebrates this by sending English/Irish electronic producer Aphex Twin. This is their third time in the competition, having previously finished 4th and fallen out in the semi finals. It's been a mixed bag of results for Aphex Twin - how will their fare for Jadakissnia's anniversary outing?

Song: Make-Up Drawer
Artist: Isaac Dunbar

This is Isaac Dunbar's second time at BJSC, returning back to his home of Sandenia. He didn't have too much luck first time round as his entry 'Cologne' failed to qualify just eight contests ago. Sandenia will be hoping his fortunes can be turned around and their fellow countries will "make-up" for last time.

Song: Mindcircus (feat. Tricia Lee Kelshall)
Artist: Way Out West

Let's take a trip back in time! FSR Rontvia have tipped their nostalgic hats at the contest once again, this time in the form of 2002 electronic song 'Mindcircus' by English electronic duo Way Out West. The track peaked at a lowly #39 in the UK singles chart nearly two decades ago now so FSR Rontvia will be hoping the track can fare a little better in BJSC than it did in the charts!

Song: Nothing Like This (feat. Love Lola Love)
Artist: MEN$A

There's very little I've been able to find on this entry, aside from the fact it appears to have picked up some popularity through the adult cartoon series Tuca & Bertie, whatever that may be. This is MEN$A's first time in the contest, can it see Kluminican Republic to another contest success?

Song: Chasing Shadows (feat. Cal)
Artist: Shapov

Danaevilla have turned to Russia for some success for the upcoming BJSC 123 contest, in the form of Shapov's Chasing Shadows. It would appear fans have been waiting some five long years for this electronic dance track and we hope for Danaevilla's sake that it's been worth the wait, will it translate to success for the contest debutante?

This contest is clearly peaking early with the first song in the first semi <3

That's the only one of these first 5 that I have already heard but there are a lot more of those to come (I counted at least 19 songs in this contest that I have already heard which is way more than usual!)
