Three new entries into the top five this week behind reigning champ Only Lovers Left Alive, which continues its rule for a third week. OLLA is chased more closely this week by ROZES, Era Istrefi, and a rise for ex-BJSC entry Skott, becoming my highest-charting 18-pointer this year and second highest charting BJSC entry that isn't something I've entered myself. Top honours there currently goes to the #3-peaking Ride by Naika, which missed out on my top points at the time by not qualifying through to the finals. Jessie Ware and Niall Horan also surge into the top ten, each gaining their highest peaking track of the year (so far).

Highest brand newie this week goes to Ally Ryan at #12; Wasted debuts this week after a month or so of lurking just outside the top 40 and in my B-playlist. Other new entries this week come from The Weeknd's Rockin, another slow burner that nearly charted for me back in the spring, Rubblebucket finally following-up 2014 #1 Carousel Ride, and a few other older or established acts on my charts: Goldfish, Marian Hill, Pink, Tove Lo and Paperwhite. There also come debut charters for Olivia Holt, Ralph (whose previous single Crocodile Tears never quite made it in, although came close a few times) and of all people, ex-Spice Girl Melanie C. I don't really have an excuse.

All new entries will be getting individual video links and a bit of commentary later on in the week, so check back and that’ll save you having to search them out individually, I’ll update the thread title accordingly when those are done. Also, feel free to comment yourself! I like comments biggrin.gif

Hi Jupiter!

Of all the songs here I didn't realise you were an Enter Shikari fan, what were your thoughts on their new album & does it hold up to their previous offerings?

Elsewhere I hadn't even realised Una Healy had released music - she was one of the better Saturdays members imo

Liking the Avicii & Illenium songs, and that P!nk track was pretty good when I heard it on the Chart Show

Good stuff!

Thanks! Re Enter Shikari, they were actually a band I've always struggled to get into but have had them on my radar since they first came out, and I always try to go back to bands' later eras. I really got into Imagina Dragons this era after hating them before, so, I figured they too deserved a second chance. I like this track, maybe some more of the album will jump out at me later in the winter or in 2018!

This is one of two top 5s Una Healy has landed for me this year. Perhaps it's the fact that I myself am from Ireland, but I really like the sound she's come out with, unexpected! Corrs-esque.

Thanks for commenting biggrin.gif

Thanks! You'll like what's in store for ROZES and Pink's Revenge this week coming, then... (next week's chart should be up tomorrow or Tues)

Thank you for commenting! Kind words biggrin.gif

Jhene Aiko deserves her #1, it's her second this year for me, and fourth overall following Spotless Mind in 2015 and Bed Peace in 2014! But you probably already know those if you know her :3
Always good to come across other fans of hers biggrin.gif

Hi Jupiter!

Nice to see Alone so high! I hoped her performance on SLFN would rocket her up into the Top 40 but I guess it wasn't the case sad.gif

Great to see Revenge enter as well! I prefer it to What About Us actually, would love to see it become a Top 10 hit eventually!

Great chart biggrin.gif
