Biography
Marshmello
Marshmello might just be the unlikeliest pop star you could imagine—the anonymous DJ/producer is known only by his cartoonish, marshmallow-shaped mask, with its broad smile and big, sympathetic eyes. But given the way his music has resonated, he’s clearly the pop star we needed. He got his start with an equally unlikely fusion of tough-as-nails trap and candied EDM, and as early fans debated his identity, a co-sign from Skrillex gave singles like 2015’s trance-laced “Find Me” a viral boost. On Marshmello’s debut album, 2016’s Joytime, his signature qualities began to come into focus—the wistful vibes of “Summer,” the playful melodies of “Blocks,” the chilled-out cool of “Keep It Mello,” featuring deliciously laidback rapping from Omar LinX—but it was the nostalgic “Alone,” with its twin nods to 2000s emo and 1980s electro-pop, that solidified his persona. (“Alone” also kicked off a string of clever coming-of-age-themed videos that reinforced his essential relatability.) Since then, Marshmello has gone from an EDM curiosity to a ubiquitous fixture in pop, using collaborations with artists like Selena Gomez and Logic to further his singular brand of fun. - iTunes
Halsey
Halsey is the alias of New York-based pop singer Ashley Frangipane. The New Jersey native took her moniker from a New York L train subway stop, and her adopted city plays a large role in both the sound and lyrics of her dark, gritty electro-pop. In 2015, she debuted with Badlands, which hit number two on the Billboard 200 chart. Continued success came in 2016, when her featured appearance on the Chainsmokers' "Closer" helped push the single to the top of the charts. In 2017, Halsey was back with Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, topping the album chart and featuring the Top Five hit "Bad at Love." At the end of 2018, she notched her first number one single as a lead artist, "Without Me." - iTunes

Biography
Oasis were an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. Developed from an earlier group, the Rain, the band originally consisted of Liam Gallagher (lead vocals, tambourine), Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs (guitar), Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan (bass guitar) and Tony McCarroll (drums). Upon returning to Manchester, Liam's older brother, Noel Gallagher (lead guitar, vocals) joined as a fifth member, which formed the band's core and settled line-up. During the course of their existence, they had various line-up changes, though the Gallagher brothers remained as the staple members until the group's demise.
Oasis signed to independent record label Creation Records in 1993 and released their record-setting debut album Definitely Maybe (1994). The following year the band recorded (What's the Story) Morning Glory? (1995) with drummer Alan White, in the midst of a chart rivalry with Britpop peers Blur. (What's the Story) Morning Glory? became one of the best-selling albums of all time, selling over 22 million copies worldwide, and the Gallagher brothers were featured regularly in tabloid newspapers for their sibling disputes and wild lifestyles. In 1996, Oasis performed two nights at Knebworth for an audience of 125,000 each night, which were at the time the largest outdoor concerts in UK history. 2.5 million people applied for tickets, which remains the highest demand for a show in British history. In 1997, Oasis released their third album, Be Here Now (1997); although it was the fastest-selling album in UK chart history, and went on to sell 8 million copies, its popularity tapered off quickly.
McGuigan and Arthurs left Oasis in 1999 as the band released Standing on the Shoulder of Giants (2000). They were replaced by former Heavy Stereo guitarist/frontman Gem Archer and former Ride guitarist/frontman Andy Bell. Their fifth studio album Heathen Chemistry was released in 2002. In 2004, White left, leaving them as a four-piece, with the addition of the Who drummer Zak Starkey as an unofficial recording and touring fifth member. They found renewed success and popularity with Don't Believe the Truth (2005). Following the recording of the band's seventh album Dig Out Your Soul in May 2008, Starkey departed from the band. Chris Sharrock was recruited as a touring member, and Oasis did their last tour as a collective band. During the tour the Gallagher brothers' deteriorating relationship led to Noel Gallagher announcing his departure in August 2009, after a backstage altercation with Liam. The rest of the band, led by Liam, decided to continue, under the name Beady Eye, until their breakup in 2014. Noel formed a solo project, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Following the breakup of Beady Eye, Liam began a solo career, Bell reunited with former band Ride, while Archer and Sharrock became members of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
Oasis have had eight UK number-one singles and eight UK number-one albums. They have won 17 NME Awards, nine Q Awards, four MTV Europe Music Awards and six Brit Awards, including one in 2007 for Outstanding Contribution to Music and one for the Best Album of the Last 30 Years–for (What's the Story) Morning Glory?–as voted by BBC Radio 2 listeners; (What's the Story) Morning Glory? is also the fifth best-selling album in UK chart history, and was the UK's biggest-selling album of the 1990s. They have been nominated for two Grammy Awards. As of 2009, Oasis have sold over 75 million records worldwide. The band were listed in the Guinness World Records book in 2010 for "Longest Top 10 UK Chart Run by a Group" after an unprecedented run of 22 top 10 hits in the UK. The band also holds the Guinness World Record for the most successful act in the UK between the years 1995 and 2005, spending 765 weeks in the top 75 singles and albums charts. - Wikipedia

Biography
Khalid
In 2016, Khalid Robinson was voted Most Likely to Go Platinum by his high school class. About a year later, he proved them right. A military kid, Robinson split his childhood between Georgia, Kentucky, upstate New York, and Heidelberg, Germany, eventually settling in El Paso, Texas—a pattern of dislocation that often made him feel like an outsider. Self-described as “an awkward teen,” he picked up songwriting primarily to stave off loneliness, sharing music through SoundCloud and quickly catching the ears of both his peers and the industry. (His breakout single, 2016’s “Location,” was recorded during spring break of his senior year; a few weeks after it came out, he won Prom King; within a couple of years, the song had sold more than five million copies in the U.S. alone.) In 2017, he released American Teen, a celebratory but bittersweet mix of synth-pop and neon-lit R&B that garnered five Grammy nominations—proof that you’re rarely an outsider alone. In between, Robinson featured on high-profile collaborations with Logic (“1-800-273-8255”), Calvin Harris (“Rollin”), and Normani (“Love Lies”), among others. An EP, Suncity, arrived in late 2018, opening with audio of Khalid being given keys to the city of El Paso—not bad for a kid who’d moved there only a few years before. He followed that up with 2019’s soulful, creatively unbounded Free Spirit, on which he charted new emotional terrain with a strong focus on his well-being. Reflecting on his evolution from spectator to artist for Apple Music’s Up Next series, Robinson said, “I would sit in this apartment, I would look at the mountain behind me, I would watch all the lightning, and I would listen to music. I was like, ‘You know what? I need something to help me a little bit more.’” So he took it on himself and started to write. - iTunes

'Know Your Worth' a fairly good start to the chart today! I think Disclosure peaked with 'Settle' but that was always going to be a high bar

Biography
Nobody makes feeling bad sound as good as The Weeknd. Even the singer’s sunniest tracks (“Can’t Feel My Face,” “Starboy”) feel anchored by darkness—the sense that pleasure is pain and beauty decays and you can’t have the night without the morning after. The brainchild of Toronto singer Abel Tesfaye, the project took off in 2011 with a string of mixtapes (later collected as 2012’s Trilogy) that forged cavernous, falsetto-driven R&B with narratives drenched in drugs, sex, and other regrettable decisions—a sound both sensuous and detached, featherlight and dead heavy. One of the earliest musicians to find his footing on the internet, Tesfaye originally offered his music through YouTube and free downloads, a move that felt radical then but is common now. Ethiopian by heritage (his parents immigrated to Canada in the late ’80s, just before he was born), Tesfaye—out from behind the mask of making art online—has since come to represent the changing face of Toronto, rooting himself not just in an international musical community but in a specific diasporic experience. Like the work of collaborator Lana Del Rey or early booster (and fellow Toronto native) Drake, Tesfaye’s music has become a symbol of hedonism pushed to bleak excess, with a series of albums—including 2015’s Grammy-winning Beauty Behind the Madness, 2016’s multiplatinum Starboy, and 2020’s dense and atmospheric After Hours—whose narrators can’t seem to say no even if they hate themselves for it later. And though his music has gotten a little brighter over time, the prevailing mood remains heavy, even unsettling—the ride you want more of even when you’ve had too much. Speaking to Apple Music about the persona behind his songs, Tesfaye said, “I’m a chill person. That guy is who I am, but it is who I am to myself and in my writing. Sometimes you take him and then you create more, and then it becomes this beast. You add more to him, and then it’s uncontrollable—its own character. It’s like Scarface, the villain: It’s horrible, but you can’t stop looking at it.” - iTunes

Biography
Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Jarad Higgins would freestyle rap through his school hallways. As a teenager, he began recording as Juice WRLD (a nod to the 1992 film starring 2Pac) and set his eyes on stardom. “My biggest fear is not getting to the point I want to,” he told Apple Music in the documentary accompanying his 2018 Up Next campaign, “but that’s also my biggest strength.” His distinctive, genre-blending take on emo rap—Auto-Tuned vocals, hints of pop punk, and beats inspired by Chief Keef and Chicago drill—shines on the breakthrough singles “Lucid Dreams” and “All Girls Are the Same,” which plumbed grief and regret and heartbreak with alarming honesty. Just five months after his star-making debut project, Goodbye & Good Riddance, he released a full-length collaboration with Future that felt like a euphoric, decadent victory lap. His second full-length solo project, Death Race for Love, released in March 2019, continued to mine personal pain for maximum drama, while collaborations with BTS and Ellie Goulding exhibited his range. Juice WRLD passed away in Chicago in December 2019 at age 21. - iTunes

Biography
The 1975 are an English pop rock band originally from Wilmslow, Cheshire. The band are now based in Manchester, and consist of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matthew Healy, lead guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald, and drummer George Daniel.
The band's origins trace to their attendance at Wilmslow High School in Cheshire and playing together as teenagers in 2002. Gigs organised by a council worker led the band to formally sign with Dirty Hit and Polydor Records. The band opened for several major acts and released a series of extended plays (Facedown, Sex, Music for Cars, IV) throughout 2012 before releasing their self-titled debut album (2013), which included the popular singles "Sex", "Chocolate", and "Robbers" reaching number one in the United Kingdom.
Their second album, I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it (2016), reached number one in the US and UK. Following the touring cycle for the record, the band announced their third album under the working title of Music for Cars, before going on hiatus again throughout 2017.
Returning in 2018, the band announced that the album had evolved into their third campaign cycle, consisting of their third and fourth studio albums. The first, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships (2018), was released to critical praise, and became their third number one album in the UK. The second, Notes on a Conditional Form, is set to be released on February 21, 2020. - Wikipedia

Biography
Travis Scott is the stage name of Jacques Webster, a Houston-born hip-hop artist and producer affiliated with Kanye West's GOOD Music and T.I.'s Grand Hustle. Scott has a heavily Auto-Tuned half-sung/half-rapped vocal style, and refers to himself as a singer rather than a rapper. He's produced or co-produced tracks by Kanye West, Rihanna, and Drake, and he's appeared on tracks by Jay-Z, Pusha T, Meek Mill, and numerous others. Within four years of his 2012 mainstream arrival, Scott attained platinum singles as a lead artist and songwriter/producer, as well as a pair of Top Five studio albums, the latter of which went to number one.
Scott grew up in a suburb of Houston and began making music as a teenager. He formed a duo called the Graduates with Chris Holloway, and they released an EP in 2009. The following year he formed another duo, the Classmates, with OG Chess. Scott produced the duo's two full-lengths, Buddy Rich and Cruis'n USA, and the duo broke up by the end of 2011. After dropping out of college, Scott moved to Los Angeles and began recording music on his own. He met T.I. and eventually Kanye West. Scott was hired as an in-house producer for GOOD Music, and appeared on the label's Cruel Summer compilation in 2012. Scott's debut, Owl Pharaoh, was originally scheduled to be released as a free mixtape in 2012, but as his profile grew (including a placement in XXL Magazine's Freshman Class of 2013), and due to sample clearance issues, the album wasn't released until May of 2013. Featuring guest appearances by T.I. and 2 Chainz (on the single "Upper Echelon") as well as Toro y Moi and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, the mixtape eventually garnered a nomination for Best Mixtape at the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards.
The buildup to Scott's first proper studio album involved the Days Before Rodeo mixtape, promoted with the singles "Don't Play" and "Mamacita," and the March 2015 U.S. Rodeo Tour, for which Scott headlined, supported by Young Thug and Metro Boomin. Several of the dates sold out. During the same month, Rihanna's Scott-produced hit single "Bitch Better Have My Money" was released. "3500" and "Antidote" were released ahead of Rodeo, Scott's second full-length, which followed in September on Grand Hustle/Epic and debuted at number three on the Billboard 200. Toward the end of the year, "Antidote" peaked at number 16 on the Hot 100 and became Scott's first platinum single.
Chatter regarding a follow-up, along with numerous delays, ensued throughout much of 2016. Meanwhile, Scott extended his commercial presence with featured spots on Wiz Khalifa's "Bake Sale," Rihanna's "Woo," and Kanye West's "FML," as well as a collaboration with Young Thug and Quavo, "Pick Up the Phone," a mid-year hit issued as the lead single of Young Thug's JEFFERY. Three months later, after "Bitch Better Have My Money" earned a platinum certification, Scott's second proper album arrived. Titled Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, after one of Quavo's lines in "Pick Up the Phone," the woozy, mostly midtempo set featured that hit and contributions from the likes of André 3000, Kid Cudi, and Kendrick Lamar. It went straight to the top of the Billboard 200. Leading up to his third LP, Scott appeared on "Kelly Price" from Migos' Culture and on Drake's "Portland" from the More Life project. The latter track peaked within the Top Ten of the Hot 100, Scott's highest chart placement to date. In 2017 Scott dropped the hazy, Migos-esque single "Butterfly Effect" and Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, a collaborative project with Quavo. - iTunes

Poor The 1975
At least Scott corrected himself during that link!
SICKO MODE
Scott claiming that Sicko Mode re-entered because of the album. It was because of fortnite Scott, get it right. I do wish they didn’t skip the 1975 though
Pleasant surprise to see this re-enter the Top 40.
Great to hear Sicko Mode on the chart again!
Not complaining about 'SICKO MODE' re-entering one of my favourites to come out of 'ASTROWORLD' for sure <3
('Stop Trying To Be God' the best)
I have to say this doesn't sound anywhere near as good as it used to, not really sure why!
ooh The 1975 managed a second week amazing for an indie track, hope it re-enters eventually with the album release
I'm team Doja, of course
Honestly, the first time I've ever heard 'Sicko Mode'.
It's a shame Sicko Mode hasn't peaked higher than number 9, absolutely iconic track. Also first time for hearing the radio edit.
same never heard this before despite all the hype

Biography
Blasting into the U.K. charts on the back of the summer anthem "Strike a Pose," Nottingham rap duo Young T & Bugsey built their brand on infectious fusions of hip-hop, Afro-bashment, and trap.
Meeting through mutual friends at the age of 15, rappers Young T (Rashard Tucker) and Bugsey (Doyin Julius) bonded over their shared interest in music, as budding musicians and supporters of Nottingham's local rap scene. The pair's signature style was forged at Nottingham's Community Recording Studios, a local charity that gave them the means to record in studio quality. Young T & Bugsey's first single came with 2015's "1st Quarter," though it was their second, "Glistenin'," that put their name on the map, racking up hundreds of thousands of digital streams. Continuing into the second half of the 2010s with singles including D-Block Europe collaboration "Favourite Girl" and the BPI-certified gold "Ay Caramba," the duo continued to grow their fan base organically, soon becoming a key "one to watch" in the U.K. rap scene.
Young T & Bugsey's critical moment arrived with the 2019 single "Strike a Pose"; with a charismatic feature from Manchester's Aitch, the single soared to the ninth spot on the U.K. charts, eventually landing a platinum sales certification from the BPI. Capitalizing on this colossal success, the duo enlisted Headie One for the anthemic "Don't Rush" before announcing their debut mixtape, Plead the 5th. Including collaborations with Morrison and Fredo, the 2020 tape continued the slick fusion of Afro-swing and rap on which they made their name. - iTunes

Pity the 1975 fell so much!
I wonder if Mandy Holden has made it?
This re-entering because women are stripping down to their underwear on TikTok
Not massively enthusiastic about the re-emergence of 'Don't Rush' but also not bad
I've never really cared for SICKO MODE oops. Don't Rush is a bit of a bop tho x
Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat 🐱 would be one brilliant Top 3.
Love Don't Rush. An absolute bop .
Ava top 35?
DR becoming the third song apart from Close To Me and Memories to go back to SCR without the required 25% increase
Enjoying Don't Rush, it's no Strike A Pose but good to see it back.

Biography
Sam Smith
Distinctively emotive, soul-inspired vocalist Sam Smith has been among the most commercially successful artists to arrive during the early 2010s. Prior to their breakthrough at the age of 21, the London-born singer and songwriter balanced their studies and music, sang in choirs and in bands, and performed in musical theater productions. They developed a passionate approach to singing exemplified by their favorite artists at that time: Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Chaka Khan. They were barely out of their teens when, in late 2012, they appeared as the featured vocalist on "Latch," the fourth single by production duo Disclosure. A loping mixture of U.K. garage and contemporary dance-pop, the song went to number 11 in the U.K. Over in the U.S., it took significantly longer to take hold, but eventually hit number seven there and was certified platinum three times over.
The singer's debut solo single, released in February 2013, took a more tempered path. Produced by the favor-returning Disclosure, "Lay Me Down" recalled the stripped-back material that had proved successful for Adele. Only three months later, producer/songwriter Shahid "Naughty Boy" Khan followed his Emeli Sandé-fronted U.K. Top Ten hit "Wonder" with "La La La," featuring a powerful lead vocal from Smith (who had just finished a series of dates in support of Sandé). It was an instant number one U.K. hit. In October 2013, Smith issued the Nirvana EP, which included an acoustic reading of "Latch," and by the end of February 2014 they were back at the top of the U.K. chart with "Money on My Mind," which inventively married their relaxed vocal with a frenetic beat. Smith's debut full-length, In the Lonely Hour, was released that May in the U.K., and topped the album chart. It arrived in the U.S. the following month and peaked at number two there. The singles "Stay with Me," "I'm Not the Only One," and "Lay Me Down" hit the Top Ten in both the U.K. and U.S. In the Lonely Hour led to awards from organizations as varied as the BRITs, the Grammys, Billboard, and BET. It was the second best-selling album of 2014 in the U.K. and U.S., behind only titles by Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift.
In 2015, Smith recorded another Disclosure collaboration, "Omen," eventually placed on the duo's Caracal. Smith also earned the honor of being chosen to record the theme for a James Bond film. "Writing's on the Wall," recorded for the Spectre soundtrack, was the first Bond theme to go to number one in the U.K. An expanded version of In the Lonely Hour, the "Drowning Shadows Edition," was released that November with new material and previously released stray tracks added to the original album content. Following Golden Globe and Academy Award wins for "Writing's on the Wall," Smith spent most of 2016 and early 2017 in the studio recording their follow-up album with previous collaborators Jimmy Napes and Steve Fitzmaurice. "Too Good at Goodbyes," the lead single from their second album, was issued in September 2017. The ballad went to number one in the U.K. and the Top Five in the U.S. just prior to the release of The Thrill of It All the following month. In 2018, they released the single "Fire on Fire" as part of the soundtrack to the BBC and Netflix animated miniseries Watership Down, based on the 1972 Richard Adams novel. The year 2019 saw the release of a pair of Smith singles: the Normani collaboration "Dancing with a Stranger" and the solo cut "How Do You Sleep?" - iTunes

Biography
Channeling the imaginations and aesthetics of forebears like Sia and Lady Gaga, Albanian-American pop singer/songwriter Ava Max delivers empowering, dance-friendly anthems similar to contemporaries such as Bebe Rexha, Sigrid, and Dua Lipa. Emerging in the late 2010s, she appeared on collaborations with Le Youth, Witt Lowry, and David Guetta while also releasing her own singles, including her breakthrough smash hit "Sweet but Psycho," which topped the charts in almost two dozen countries.
Born Amanda Ava Koci in Wisconsin, she was raised by Albanian immigrant parents in Virginia. She started singing at a young age and was already active in singing competitions by the time she reached high school. After moving to Los Angeles to pursue music full time, she joined local disco revival producer Le Youth on his bright dance track "Clap Your Hands," which became a summer hit in 2017. The next year, she showcased her Sia-esque vocals with debut solo single "My Way" (Atlantic) before following with "Slippin" and "Not Your Barbie Girl," which interpolated Aqua's '90s classic. That year, she also joined rapper Witt Lowry on his track "Into Your Arms" and David Guetta on "Let It Be Me" from his album 7. Ava Max issued her biggest hit to date that summer as breakthrough single "Sweet but Psycho" -- an addictive pop gem produced by Cirkut (the Weeknd, Katy Perry, Rihanna) -- began charting across Europe. As the song built momentum across the globe, she signed with Full Stop Management, home to Charli XCX, Harry Styles, HAIM, and others.
By summer 2019, "Sweet but Psycho" had topped the charts on over a dozen charts in Europe, as well as in New Zealand and on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart. The sleeper hit was soon certified platinum in Australia, the U.S., and the U.K. Max followed with modest hit "So Am I," which got the K-pop remix treatment with guests NCT 127. Gearing up for her official full-length, she released additional singles "Blood, Sweat & Tears," "Freaking Me Out," and "Slow Dance" with AJ Mitchell. - iTunes

This is the first time I've heard this Ava Max. Has she lifted the melody from "You Give Love A Bad Name" by Bon Jovi?
Probably alone in this opinion but this is better than 'Sweet But Psycho '.
Good to see 'Kings & Queens' climbing I love the simultaneous drama and feel-good factor of the chorus
This Ava Max cheese is pure genius compared to all that grime stuff!
Yes ava!
Really liking this Ava Max track. Her voice is really good.
I'd like this to go on to become Ava's second biggest hit, as it is definitely better than 'So Am I'
Poor 'Torn' though.
This Ava Max track sounds like a nice throwback to 2009
First time I'm hearing this, not her best.
That Eurovision comment was a bit random Maybe one day an actual Eurovision song will chart again.

Biography
PARTYNEXTDOOR
The persona of producer and singer Jahron Brathwaite, PartyNextDoor finds the Toronto-based artist experimenting with a fractured blend of minimal hip-hop and R&B that has drawn natural comparisons to fellow Canadians Drake and the Weeknd. No stranger to featured appearances himself, Brathwaite has lent his vocals, songwriting, and studio skills to a handful of Drake cuts, as well as ones by the likes of Big Sean, Lil Yachty, and Rihanna (most notably "Work"). The first artist signed to Drake's Warner Bros.-supported OVO Sound label, Brathwaite made his self-titled debut on the label in July 2013. A low-key release with Drake featured on one cut, it reached number 34 on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. A sequel, PartyNextDoor Two, followed in July 2014 with a greater promotional push. It topped the R&B/hip-hop chart and crossed into the Billboard 200 at number 19, aided by "Recognize," on which Drake once again provided an assist. PNDColours, a four-track EP, followed in December 2014. A little less than two years later, "Come and See Me," yet another Drake-enhanced track, became Brathwaite's first single to crack the Hot 100. The achievement immediately preceded the August 2016 release of his third album, titled PartyNextDoor 3 (which one might mistake as "PX3," due to its artwork). The following June, after he had co-written DJ Khaled's "Shining," appeared on Drake's More Life, and was featured on ZAYN's "Still Got Time," he issued the Colours 2 EP. The Majid Jordan collaboration "One I Want" arrived later that month. - iTunes
Rihanna
Beginning with her first hit, 2005's "Pon de Replay," Rihanna was fast-tracked to becoming one of the most popular, acclaimed, and dynamic artists in postmillennial contemporary music. Mixing and matching pop, dancehall, R&B, EDM, and adult contemporary material, she has been a near-constant presence in the upper reaches of the pop chart. She has headlined 11 number one hits, some of which -- "Umbrella" and "Only Girl (In the World)" among them -- led to her eight Grammy Awards. And more than just a singles artist, Rihanna has continually pushed ahead stylistically with her LPs, all of which have confounded expectations and placed within the Top Ten of the Billboard 200. - iTunes

the big EU hit not
Believe It is such a waste of Rihanna's energy.
'Believe It' is so bad.
I'm not even convinced Rihanna's return will be better either.
YES @ BELIEVE IT GETTING A PLAY THIS WEEK .
'BELIEVE IT' feels like a massive comedown from 'Kings & Queens' oops from that much oomph to these uneventful ~vibes~
I mean Kings & Queens has been a hit across Europe but just not a ‘big’ hit!
Kings & Queens climbing
BELIEVE IT is a complete non-event oops
Believe It kind grew on me over time
'Believe It' sounds like all the previous grime style tracks, slow boring and only just having a melody!
It was worth the amount of energy Rihanna put into this to give PARTYNEXTDOOR that hit.
It feels kind of...cringey seeing so many people celebrating and freaking out over Ava getting a top 35 'hit' in the UK charts.
Hardly top ten on the Hot 100 is it?

Biography
British DJ and producer Joel Corry's bright, bass-heavy house tracks are chiefly inspired by 1990s-2000s U.K. garage and R&B, mixing upbeat rhythms with yearning sentiments. Following several singles released throughout the second half of the 2010s, he hit big in 2019 with a cover of Monsta Boy's "Sorry."
Corry grew up during the height of the U.K. garage explosion, and started to DJ when he was 13. Professionally active as the owner of a personal training business as well as a gym and leisurewear company, he first caught the public's eye when he starred in the reality show Geordie Shore. Corry released his first two dance singles, "Back Again" and "Light It Up," in 2015. He began hosting a specialty show on KISS FM in 2017, and holds down summer residencies in Ibiza, Zante, Ayia Napa, and several other clubbing hot spots. In 2019, he released a cover of Monsta Boy's 2000 U.K. garage hit "Sorry (I Didn't Know)," retitled "Sorry" and featuring vocalist Hayley May. After being featured on the British reality TV series Love Island, the song reached the Top Ten in the United Kingdom, Scotland, and Ireland. - iTunes

Dua Lipa (/ˈduːə ˈliːpə/; Albanian pronunciation: [ˈdua ˈlipa]; born 22 August 1995) is an English singer, songwriter and model. After working as a model, she signed with Warner Music Group in 2015 and released her eponymous debut album in 2017. The album reached number three on the UK Albums Chart, and yielded seven singles, including "Be the One" and "IDGAF", and the UK number-one single "New Rules", which also reached number six in the US. In 2018, Lipa won the Brit Awards for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.
Released in April 2018, the single "One Kiss", with Calvin Harris, reached number one in the UK, and became the longest running number one single for a female artist in 2018. Biography
220 KID
220 KID is a producer/writer/DJ and artist from the UK. The 220 KID name was born after running 220 miles in bright pink pants for charity, after his beloved Godfather passed away. And after running that 220 miles he knew anything was possible. He was soon scouted as a model and has worked for the likes of Vogue, GQ, Nike, Reebok and many more, whilst continuing to develop and perfect himself as an established writer/producer. Over the past two years 220 KID has been working with Grammy nominated producer Grades, One Bit, Camden Cox, Billen Ted, Danny Shah, Jackson, and the infamous Scott Storch (Pink, Christina Aquilera, Beyonce, Snoop Dogg, Dre, Sean Paul) to name a few. His broad musical ability has allowed him to write and produce with a wide range of artists also, such as Clean Bandit, Alpines, Frenship, Walking On Cars, Sheppard, and Camelphat, He has most recently been working with Daniel Skye, Jess Boykins III, Amanda CY, Gracey, Maverick Sabre, Bryn Christopher and Ivy Adara. Unquestionably 220 KID has a wide range of production skills, from epic string work to dirty house base lines. Alongside his fresh style of lyrical writing, he has the ability to make any pop song that little bit more ‘cool’. He's certainly one to watch. - Spotify
GRACEY
This is GRACEY - an effusive, preternaturally talented songwriter and future pop dream queen. Despite being only 21 years old, GRACEY is already an in-demand songwriter who has written for some of the biggest names in pop. Now, ‘Different Things’ is her beautifully affecting debut single. Written and produced with her long term collaborator Alan Sampson, ‘Different Things’ is an effortlessly forward-thinking and vividly atmospheric raw depiction of a relationship stretched to breaking point. Cut from the same cloth as Sia and Lorde, GRACEY’s Different Things is a taster of what’s to come from this raw new talent. - Spotify

Biography
Jax Jones
When Duke Dumont topped the UK charts with his single “I Got U” in 2014, many listeners may have assumed that featured artist Jax Jones was the singer. In fact, Jones (born Timucin Aluo in 1987) was a cowriter and producer on the song, whose No. 1 position marked his auspicious debut. Raised in London by a Turkish father, a Malaysian mother and a Nigerian stepfather, Jones grew up on a mix of American hip-hop, UK dance and African music, which might help to explain the mix of styles that swirls through his music: His youthful fondness for Prince shows through in funk-infused cuts like 2015’s “Ocean Drive”, while Afro-Caribbean accents bubble up in 2018’s “Ring Ring,” a lilting tropical-house jam. Though his beats generally follow the punchy cadence of deep-diving future house, he brings a hip-hop producer’s collage sensibility to the mixing desk: Many of his productions slyly interpolate other songs. “You Don’t Know Me”, from 2017, is built around the slinky hook of M.A.N.D.Y. and Booka Shade’s 2005 anthem “Body Language”, while “I Got U” contains a choice bit of Whitney Houston’s “My Love Is Your Love”. Whether on his own productions or his remixes for Ellie Goulding, Charlie XCX and Missy Elliott, Jones’ habitual blend of pop polish and house groove is unmistakable. In conversation with Beats 1’s Julie Adenuga, he spoke about his unique relationship to dance music. “I just thought I'd try it,” he said. “House is a collage of everything the creator is. If you love hip-hop, you can chuck that in there. If you love rock, you can chuck that in there too. It took a long time, but now it makes a lot of sense. It’s sample-based and also musical, so it's a very natural fit. Life is beautiful like that. They say you have to, like, get rid of yourself to go to the next level. And I think that’s what happened.” - iTunes
Martin Solveig
Though he grew up singing in the church choir and studying classical music, by age 13 French DJ Martin Solveig (born Martin Picandet) had his first pair of turntables and was showing off his skills to his friends. At 18, while working in a local record store, he further discovered the complexity of electronic music, and shortly thereafter was spinning at some of the most prestigious clubs in Paris. In 2001, Solveig worked with Bob Sinclar on Africanism, contributing his track "Edony" to the album. The single went on to be a hit, and after graduating from college, the DJ decided to release a full-length record. Sur la Terre -- which came out in 2002 on his own label, Mixture, and was made using both live and electronic instrumentation -- was also inspired by African rhythms, leading to a remix of Malian singer Salif Keita's song "Malan." In 2004 Solveig decided to move toward American funk and rock, releasing "Rocking Music," sung by Jay Sebag, followed by another full-length, Hedonist, in 2005. A third album, C'est la Vie, was issued in 2008, but it was only with his fourth effort, 2011's aptly titled Smash, that he finally broke through into the mainstream. Home to a number of singles featuring Dragonette, Smash included Solveig's chart-topping hit song "Hello" with the Canadian band, the success of which attracted the interest of Madonna. The singer chose him to work on her album MDNA, and the pair developed a mutual respect and a close working relationship in the studio. Post-MDNA, Solveig continued collaborating, releasing The Night Out EP in 2012; the 2013 single "Hey Now" with the Cataracs, and "Blow" featuring Laidback Luke in 2014. In 2015, Solveig returned with "Intoxicated" with the production duo GTA, as well as the house music-infused "+1," with vocals by Sam White. "Do It Right" with Tkay Maidza and "Places" with Ina Wroldsen arrived the next year, with the Alma-featuring "All Stars" landing in 2017. - iTunes
RAYE
Croyden, South London-based R&B singer Rachel Keen (aka RAYE) started her career at the age of ten, guided by her father and her guitar teacher. Her interest in music quickly led to small charity gigs and bouts of singing at her local church. By 2012, RAYE had enrolled in the prestigious BRIT school for music and singing, spending two years perfecting her craft, but she left in 2014 due to the limitations she was being taught and the desire to create her own rules. The following year, RAYE released her debut EP, Welcome to the Winter. The lead single, "Hotbox," was noticed by Olly Alexander (Years & Years) on Hype Machine; he got in touch with RAYE to discuss music, and arranged a meeting with the A&R department at Polydor. With major-label backing, RAYE kept busy in 2016, including co-writing her single "I, U, US" alongside Charli XCX, appearing as a guest vocalist on Jonas Blue's "By Your Side" single, and releasing the SECOND EP. She was back working with Charli XCX the following year, guesting on the singer's tracks "Girls" and "Dreamer." RAYE also delivered her own single, "The Line." The singles "Check" (with Kojo Funds) and "Cigarette" (with Mabel and Stefflon Don) were released in 2018. - iTunes

An even more pleasing climb for Don’t Need Love then!
Tequila.
Get. this. trash. OUT! I hope this is just a misfire for the Europa project as 'All Day And Night' was such a strong start
Has Amanda Holden made it???
Yes Tequila!
Do we reckon Amanda has slipped out, or has that big iTunes boost last night kept it up?
Wish this was in the top 10. Still a bop!
TEQUILA This is already my favourite chart show in a while!!! Scott has been playing the tunes !!!
finally that atrocious Joel Corry single is dropping how it should be!
Posts for #30-28 corrected!
Remixes to Tequila were released today. Check the Waze & Odyssey, it made the track a hundred times batter! (I still like the original tho)

Biography
BENEE's introspective lyrics and smoky, stylized soul singing first hit the charts in her native New Zealand with her second single, 2018's "Soaked." Combining the sophisticated R&B of artists like Sade and Corinne Bailey Rae and contemporary, atmospheric electronics, her first EP, Fire on Marzz, followed in 2019.
After sharing some cover songs online, Stella Bennett started using the abbreviated alias Bene for original material during her final year of high school. She released the single "Touch Guy" in 2017, then began collaborating with Josh Fountain and Jason Suskov on writing and recording material for her first EP after graduation. Her second single and first to feature the gentle, funk-infused sound she would become known for, "Soaked" reached number 14 on the singles chart in her home country. After tweaking her name to BENEE, Republic Records reissued the song, which was included on her debut EP, 2019's Fire on Marzz. The EP was also a hit, peaking at 13 on New Zealand's album chart. - iTunes

Yesss Supalonely! It's probably only climbing becuz of Dua's tracks and Lonely dropping below it lol
Get this nonsense in the bin!
IM A LONELY BITCH
Benee the unexpected chart saviour *.*
Why is even Superlonely sounding like a bop today?
Weird that Beenee took her time to re-sing "lonely bitch" to "lonely chick" but not "f*cked up" to "messed up"
Pity the remixes came out too late to save Tequila from going to ACR which I think is due to be next week
Not surprised if Amanda hasn't made it given she was only 28 on Wednesday and never had that big a lead over The Weeknd on ITunes

Biography
Australian singer/songwriter Sam Fischer writes honest, thought-provoking lyrics that are easy to relate to, with the intention of providing comfort to the listener. The Los Angeles resident has written songs for Ciara, Clean Bandit, and Jennifer Hudson, and has been releasing solo material since 2016. After being featured on Black Saint's 2019 hit "Everybody Wants You," his earlier solo tune "This City" took off later in the year.
Fischer was born outside of Sydney, Australia and was writing songs by age 12. He grew up training classically on saxophone and violin and eventually ended up studying at the Berklee College of Music in the early 2010s. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles and began working in earnest on a solo music career while also taking part in L.A.'s a cappella scene and performing as a backup vocalist with the band HOLYCHILD. While working as much as possible in the music industry, Fischer readied his own songs and by 2016 had released his first single, the romantic, R&B-informed "Lean." He followed the next year with singles "Same Friends" and "Getting Older," as well as being featured on Opia's swaying single "Secrets." His debut EP, Not a Hobby, was first released in January of 2018. Fischer co-wrote Ciara's song "Dose" and was featured on tracks by Pat Lok and Nighttime Crowd, but "Everybody Wants You," his 2019 collaboration with London's Black Saint, became a dance hit during the summer. Sony then signed Fischer and re-released Not a Hobby, as the EP's track "This City" started to gain momentum online. - iTunes

Biography
As a member of the British boy band One Direction, Harry Styles topped the charts, toured the world, and sold millions of albums before going solo in 2016. Reflecting the influence of childhood favorites Queen, Elton John, and the Beatles, Styles' solo material took a more serious and rock-based approach, while still delivering the pop sound his faithful fans desired. His self-titled album debut appeared in 2017 and debuted at the top of the U.S. album charts. Later that year, he made his movie debut in the Oscar-winning epic Dunkirk, which topped American box offices, making Styles the first British artist to secure a number one debut single, album, and film in the same year. His sophomore album Fine Line arrived in 2019. - iTunes

Biography
Toni Watson, known professionally as Tones and I, is an Australian indie pop singer-songwriter and musician. Her second single, "Dance Monkey", was released in May 2019 and reached number one in over 30 countries. In November of that year, she broke the record for the most weeks at number one on the ARIA Singles Chart by any artist with 16 weeks. By mid-January 2020, "Dance Monkey" had spent its 24th and final week at No.1, beating Bing Crosby's all-time Australian record for his version of "White Christmas", which spent 22 weeks (five months, namely June to October) at the top spot in 1943. "Dance Monkey" was accredited 9× platinum by ARIA for shipments of over 630,000 units. Tones was the most awarded artist at the ARIA Music Awards of 2019, winning four from eight nominations. Tones and I released her debut extended play, The Kids Are Coming, on 30 August 2019. - Wikipedia

This should’ve been skipped
FINALLY some good grime! Still love Dance Monkey <3
nOT DANCE MONKEY ANYTHING BUT THIS
"Dance Monkey" remains surprisingly enjoyable for me. It's starting to become my go-to "song that people wouldn't think I'd like, but I do indeed" track.
oh this dropped out of top 20 last week
I'm always behind with stats!!!
WHY are they playing this ARGHHHH
Keep dropping down 'Dance Monkey'. This doesn't need a chart play. Rihanna and Whitney Houston still have the record.
Go away 'Dance Monkey' :/
35 consecutive weeks in the Top 25 for this... the all time record is 39
Ugh, the first bad track played had to be Dance Monkey . Those tragic vocals .
Guess they playing because it climbed.
Thought this may rebound to Top 20 with other track falling down on ACR.

Biography
East Staffordshire-based producer Nathan Dawe creates club music that draws heavily from garage and R&B.
Born in Burton-upon-Trent in 1994, Dawe began remixing other producers in his early twenties. Although he had begun to make a name for himself, it wasn't until the release of his 2018 single "Cheatin" that his career took off; after releasing the track, Atlantic Records got in touch to sign a deal. The single took a vocal sample from Deborah Cox's "It's Over Now" and added a propulsive garage-inspired bassline underneath. - iTunes

I think we can tell that Scott isn't a fan of the "Flowers" cover, given that he insists on playing the much superior original as bed music whenever he can.
Still love Dance Monkey
Yay at flowers just missing the top 20 again!
Abomination
Why won't Dance Monkey go away?
Shame this didn’t return to the top 20
Late but HOW did One Thing Right not even go Top 40 over there? Is the UK really so hard against country that even fake dance country flops unless it’s Bebe Rexha??
Weekly post to say I think this is actually alright
Flowers remains an abomination .
This is cute
Sugababes must be reeling that this wasn't their moment instead
Flowers this version still the anthem that chavs would play.

Biography
Travis Scott
Travis Scott has helped define the sound and feel of 2010s rap, imbuing tough, surrealistic trap with a distinctly pop appeal. Raised in the suburbs of Houston, Scott (born Jacques Berman Webster II in 1992) first made noise as an in-house producer for Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music, working on the 2012 label showcase Cruel Summer and 2013’s Yeezus, which arrived mere weeks after he dropped his debut mixtape, Owl Pharaoh. He went on to bring his gothic-edged sound to Drake, Migos, Madonna, and Rihanna (“Bitch Better Have My Money”), while his own solo albums—2015’s Rodeo and 2016’s Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight—playfully drew the commercial center of rap toward the avant-garde. Take 2018’s ASTROWORLD, a swirling, almost psychedelic set that not only managed to pull together Quavo, John Mayer, Tame Impala, and Sheck Wes on the same album, but also had them gel—a testament to Scott’s vision as an artist and superlative curator. Like West, his mentor, Scott has also brought tremendous energy to his live shows, creating a stage-diving, punk-like spectacle that revitalizes a space that too many rappers inhabit on autopilot. - iTunes
Kid Cudi
Kid Cudi is a Brooklyn-based rapper from Cleveland whose debut single, "Day 'n' Nite," became an online favorite in 2008. Fool's Gold, the label of DJs A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs, released the Day 'n' Nite EP in February 2008 and circulated a Crooks remix around the blogosphere, drumming up a lot of buzz in the process (Rolling Stone magazine touted him among its Top Five best indie hip-hop artists of 2008). He also began touring with the Fool's Gold collective, which performed at a South by Southwest showcase. Meanwhile, Kid Cudi planned the release of his full-length album debut. - iTunes

Biography
Little Mix are a British girl group formed in 2011 during the eighth series of the UK version of The X Factor. They were the first group to win the competition, and following their victory, they signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Music and released a cover of Damien Rice's "Cannonball" as their winner's single. The members are Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson.
Little Mix released their debut album DNA in 2012, which peaked inside the top 10 in ten countries including the UK and US. This made Little Mix the first girl group since the Pussycat Dolls to reach the US top five with their debut album, as well as earning the highest debut US chart position for a British girl group's first release, breaking the record previously held by the Spice Girls. The group's second album Salute (2013) became their second album to debut inside the top 10 in both the UK and US. Their third album Get Weird was released in 2015. Their fourth album Glory Days (2016) became their first number one album in the UK, and also achieved the longest-reigning girl group number one album since the Spice Girls' debut album 20 years earlier, and the highest first week UK album sales for a girl band since 1997. In the UK, the group has earned four number-one singles, including "Wings", "Black Magic" and "Shout Out to My Ex".
The group won Best British Single for "Shout Out to My Ex" at the 2017 Brit Awards; they have also received several other awards during their career, including two MTV Europe Music Awards, two Teen Choice Awards and two Glamour Awards. As of August 2018, the group has achieved four platinum certified albums and sixteen certified singles in the UK. Little Mix appeared on Debrett's 2017 list of the most influential people in the UK. - Wikipedia

Aww not them skipping 'THE SCOTTS' when it's massively grown on me since last week!
If they wanted to play Harry, they should’ve played Falling instead of AY and they shouldn’t have skipped the Scotts
Does Scott dislike Falling? He's always skipping it. Good to see Little Mix holding onto top 20.
Little Mix top 20 for a sixth week
Break Up Song is so lush The music video to it so creative as well.
Good to see this rebound a little from LM but thought could have gone higher again with the clearout below.

Biography
A couple of years after he broke into the mainstream with 2009’s So Far Gone, Drake was browsing art in Los Angeles when a piece caught his eye: a big neon sign that read, “LESS DRAKE, MORE TUPAC.” For a minute, he felt angry, embarrassed—he wanted to walk up and rip the sign off the wall. Instead, he bought it. After all, he figured, you get someone hanging your name next to Tupac’s, even if it’s only to take a shot at it? You must be doing something right.
Born Aubrey Drake Graham in Toronto in 1986, Drake became—like Tupac—something of a generational voice, a prism for his pop-cultural moment. Was he an R&B singer who rapped or a rapper who sang? Was he really that sad, or just doing a bit? And if it wasn’t a bit, how could this guy—talented, intuitive, hardworking—really be so down?
From minute one, there was something a little different about him: He could be confessional, vulnerable, but also incredibly coarse; he could make an earnest commitment one minute (“Take Care”) and be drunk-dialing the next (“Marvins Room”); he could convince you he was an underdog from his perch on top of the world (“Started from the Bottom”). Critics—and he’s had plenty—like to point out that he started as an actor: He played Jimmy Brooks in the Canadian teen show Degrassi: The Next Generation. But most of all, he felt like a person—someone who isn’t canceled by his paradoxes, but defined by them.
Though the feelings remain (always feelings, big feelings), the sound—for the most part, courtesy of longtime affiliate Noah “40” Shebib—is always changing: a little dancehall here (“One Dance”), a little house there (“Passionfruit”), some old New Orleans bounce (“Nice for What”), a bit of Wu-style boom-bap (“Started from the Bottom”), some smooth, to-the-minute trap-soul (“Hotline Bling”). Like Kanye, Drake is as much a curator as he is a creator, an artist capable of arranging collaborators from a universe of styles and making them all fit into his personal vision—an approach that has made him one of the most definitive rappers and pop figures of his era. “I obviously spend a lot of time in my own world,” he told Beats 1 host Zane Lowe in 2016. “But when I do take a look at the broader scope of things, it’s often [in the studio]… Even though I don’t directly, literally address things in my music, I’ve always tried to make music that transcends gender, nationality—to try and unify people. Because that’s really what it’s about.” - iTunes

Relieved that Pain 1993 did make it as Drake’s third track!
I wish it was 'Demons' and 'War' charting from the mixtape!
I'm a Drake fan and this is exactly the stuff I like from him. Toosie SLide, on the other side, is very mediocre
Pain 1993 is my favourite track from Drake's new mixtape. Such a banger. Glad it made in the chart.

Biography
Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter JP Saxe is a soulful performer who makes yearning, R&B-influenced pop.
A native of Toronto, Canada, Saxe grew up in a creative family as the grandson of award-winning Hungarian-born cellist Janos Starker. Inspired by his grandfather, Saxe initially studied the cello as a teenager. Later, after discovering jazz and R&B, he switched to the piano and guitar, and began writing his own songs. By the time he was in his twenties, he was performing weekly in Toronto and posting his songs online. He caught the attention of producers in California, who invited him to record some of his material, an invitation that resulted in Saxe relocating to Los Angeles. In 2017, he released his debut single, "Changed," followed by "Anybody Else." The single "The Few Things" appeared in 2018, with "Same Room" and "If the World Was Ending," the latter of which featured Julia Michaels, arriving in 2019. - iTunes

Biography
SAINt JHN is the shadowy, slow jam-oriented recording alias of Brooklyn native Carlos St. John. A rapper, singer, and songwriter, St. John kick-started his career during the mid-2010s by co-composing material for Kiesza ("Bad Thing," "The Love," "Piano"), Nico & Vinz (the single "Praying to a God"), Gorgon City ("Doubts"), and Usher ("Crash"), a sequence of advancements catalyzed by industry veteran Zach Katz, who had heard an early song St. John granted to a fellow fledgling artist. As St. John continued to rack up songwriting credits for other artists, he started issuing his own material independently in 2016. Among the tracks that caught on most were "Roses" and "Reflex." "3 Below" and "Some Nights" followed in 2017, the year he also co-wrote "Helicopters/Beware" for Jidenna and "Can't Wait" for dvsn. St. John's own "I Heard You Got Too Litt Last Night" was released in 2018. That track, along with a handful of previously released singles, landed on his debut full-length, Collection One. Quickly following with fresh material, he released "McDonalds Rich" and "White Parents Are Gonna Hate This" before year's end. Further standalone singles, "All I Want Is a Yacht" and "Trap," arrived in 2019, the latter of which featured an appearance by Lil Baby. - iTunes

Biography
As his hit "Keep Up" explains, U.K. entertainer and MC KSI has a "book, a movie, a Lamborghini, and a song about a Lamborghini." Born Olajide Olatunji, KSI was known as KSIOlajideBT in 2008 when he became a regular video game commentator, uploading his videos to the Web, most of them focused on the FIFA series. It was a footballer who inspired him to try his hand at rap as Emile Heskey was the topic of "Heskey Time," a satirical rap that kicked off a series of football-mocking songs, including 2012's "Sweaty Goals" with Randolph. In 2013 he joined rapper Sway on his single "No Sleep," then in 2014 he appeared on producer Droideka's track "Get Hyper." In 2015 he dropped his own track "Lamborghini" featuring P-Money, along with "Keep Up," which was also the title cut for that year's debut KSI EP. His book KSI: I Am a Bellend appeared that same year, and was released under the title KSI: I Am a Tool in the United States. - iTunes

Biography
It won her the 2019 Brit Award for Song of the Year. In 2019, she also received the Grammy Award for Best New Artist, and "Electricity", a duet with Silk City, won her the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. The success of the singles helped her self-titled album become one of the most-streamed albums on Spotify and achieve platinum certifications. Her second studio album, Future Nostalgia was released in March 2020, to critical acclaim. Its lead single "Don't Start Now" reached number two on the UK Singles Chart and the US Billboard Hot 100. - Wikipedia

First time hearing censored version of Blueberry Faygo and it sounds ridiculous in some parts.
Of course they have to play double Dua Lipa yet again.
Enjoying the back-to-back of 'Blueberry Faygo' and 'Break My Heart'
And suddenly Break My Heart is the highest Dua song
YES Break My Heart
Break My Heart still sounding amazing I wish it would get back into the top ten .
Loving the INXS vibes
Maybe 'Break My Heart' could now make that return to the Top 10.
This was supposed to go back top 10...what happened?!!!

Biography
Aitch
Quickly becoming one of the U.K.'s biggest rappers, New Moston-born Aitch rocketed to fame in the late 2010s after the success of viral freestyle "Straight Rhymez." After featuring on prolific U.K .hits like "Keisha & Becky" and "Strike a Pose," the charismatic MC took his own place on the U.K. charts with the wildly-popular hit "Taste (Make It Shake)" and EP AitcH20.
Born in New Moston, Manchester, British rapper Aitch (born Harrison Armstrong) began performing casually while he was still in school. After a series of freestyles drew attention from industry circles, the Manchester MC quickly signed to Northern Quarterz Entertainment, where he released 2017 debut EP On Your Marks. Combining effortless flows with tongue-in-cheek bars and a charismatic attitude, Aitch found his first major hit with 2018 freestyle "Straight Rhymez," which found an audience of millions on online streaming platforms. Capitalizing on this viral success, he shortly landed spots on Kenny Allstar's 1Extra radio residency and popular freestyle series Daily Duppy, winning a dedicated fanbase and earning co-signs from the likes of Skepta and Wiley.
In 2019, Aitch turned from 'one to watch' to a key player in the UK scene: his appearance on Russ Splash's viral "Keisha & Becky Remix" landed him a spot at no. 7 on the U.K. charts, while "Strike a Pose" with Young T & Bugsey peaked at a similar 9th spot. Bolstered by this success, Aitch made his first solo chart appearance with 2019's "Taste (Make It Shake)," which soon hit the no. 2 spot on the UK singles chart. Ahead of the release of sophomore EP AitcH20, the rapper secured his biggest placement to date, featuring alongside Stormzy and Jaykae on the remix to Ed Sheeran's "Take Me Back to London." The EP, boosted only further by Sheeran's co-sign, landed at no. 3 on the UK albums chart, with features from MoStack and ZieZie, among others - iTunes
AJ Tracey
West London grime MC Che Wolton Grant (aka AJ Tracey) rose through the ranks of pirate radio, becoming one of the leading figures in U.K. grime's second generation of artists. Grant knew from a young age that he wanted to pursue a career in music, due in part to his parents; not only was his dad a former rapper from Trinidad & Tobago, his mother was a former drum'n'bass DJ from Wales. By age six, Grant had started writing rhymes, coinciding with the first great boom in grime. Although the genre temporarily lost its way, Grant soldiered on, unwilling to give up on his passion for grime. By the time he had reached his early twenties, grime had started another upswing. During this time Grant became proactive in his pursuit of radio spots, working his way up through pirate radio before scoring appearances on Rinse.DM, NTS, and eventually even BBC Radio One.
With his reputation in the world of radio firmly cemented, Grant released a string of EPs, beginning with The Front EP in July 2015, followed by the Alex Moran EP later the same year. In 2016, he further solidified his status as an emerging talent, with a combination of solid collaborations, more radio appearances, and the release of the Lil Tracey EP. The end of 2016 culminated with Grant's nomination yo BBC's Sound of 2017. That year saw him release a handful of EPs and singles including Secure the Bag and "False 9," as well as dabbling in production on "LA4AWeek." Someone should do a mashup of Break My Heart and Need You Tonight by Professor Green
why did they cut the last of BMH!!!
This continuing its second wind up the chart. 'Rain' sounding great it is the ducking jam this.
Aitch might not be the greatest rapper in the world but I enjoyed almost everything he has released so far
Rain is so bad. I can't stand Aitch's "rapping". Even AJ can't save it.
How is Rain still climbing?
No shade but does Aitch have a lisp?

Ugh at Drake with 2 songs in the top 10.
Love he sample of 'Superman' by Eminem in this Drake song!
why does the beginning of this sound like it was recorded with a potato
Nice to see Chicago Freestyle hang on for a top ten finish!
Chicago Freestyle is nice but I would have preffered War going top 40
This is considerably worse than the last one oops, can't see myself growing into this one.
Love Chicago Freestyle. It's so good.
Drake's discography is so impressive . I mean 20 top 10s already. Could he add a 6th #1 to his total?
On BBC Sounds, Playboi Carti is also strangley credited on this song as well.
This one's a bit of a bore, but at least a lot better than that one at #17.
lol at them playing Everytime We Touch.

Big drop for Live Lounge
I am expecting this to leave top 20 next week...the same with new Drake songs
3 weeks Top 10 for Live Lounge and well over 100k sales
3 weeks in top ten is not bad for a charity song these days!
Surprised this could stay in the top 10!
Times Like These is a great cover by all the artists involved .
I like AJ Tracey but in few years his part in Times Like These will sound as ridiculous as Dizzee's verse in Do They Know It's Christmas
Its a decent chart run so far for Live Lounge in these days of charity singles.
Also Sean Paul can now say he's had top 10 hits in three decades

Biography
That year saw him release a handful of EPs and singles including Secure the Bag and "False 9," as well as dabbling in production on "LA4AWeek." The following year Tracey delivered his first U.K. Top 20 single, "Butterflies," followed by the Top 40 single "Lo(v/s)er." Alongside the release of the singles, Tracey also worked on his debut album. The self-titled release dropped at the beginning of 2019, featuring a wide range of influences, including Afrobeat, dancehall, and country. - iTunes

Ooh I wasn't expecting that beat Taking me back a few years!
Well, I like this sample. Not a bad tune.
Dinner Guest a tune *.*
OMG. WHAT have they done to Nightcrawlers?!
This should be a life imprisonment for crimes against music!
This song just makes me want to listen to 'Push The Feeling On' instead maybe it will be a grower idk
Dinner Guest sounds like a Tyga song from 2014, not a bad thing tho
are the one kiss and new rules lyrics references to dua lipa or just a coincidence?
Love the Nightcrawlers sample on Dinner Guest!

Biography
In 2017, rapper DaBaby showed up to Austin’s South by Southwest festival wearing nothing but a diaper and sneakers—a gimmick, sure, but one that helped him go viral. Of course, that was the point: Since picking up the microphone in 2014, the Charlotte rapper (born Jonathan Lyndale Kirk in 1991) has demonstrated a keen awareness of how to cultivate presence in the internet era, coupling his bounciest tracks (“Suge,” “Walker Texas Ranger,” “Goin Baby,” “Baby Sitter”) with outrageous videos, crafting a persona by turns rude, violent, goofy, and dead serious. (His energy—he often sounds like he literally can’t wait to get on a track—can be so charismatic and infectious that you forget he’s rapping about how he’s prepared to mow down everyone in his way.) After a string of mixtapes, including eight released in 2017 and 2018 alone, he signed with Interscope in early 2019, releasing his first studio album, Baby on Baby, within a few months. - iTunes

I'm loving this top 10! Rover and Dinner Guest are such tunes *.*
This is not a vintage top 10 so far oops
I prefer Post Malone, sorry Da Baby
Could've done without ROCKSTAR blowing up really oops. Rover can keep climbing though, tune x
I'm here for DaBaby having a it as a main artist! Shame Bop and Suge didn't go at least top 40
Yesss, Rockstar what a bop!!
Rockstar is decent (obvs not as good as Post Malone’s one though), cool to have that as a top ten hit but not a fan of Rover at all whatsoever.

I've never worked out why rappers name drop "Murder She Wrote" in their songs. It doesn't seem like the sort of programme that would be popular among rap artists.
This is a rap-heavy top 10.
'Blinding Lights' this is more like it even if not particularly fresh!
Blinding Lights and Roses should've swap places. I love Blinding Lights but Roses way better.
Finally a song in the top 10 I enjoy!
Blinding Lights is still the best song in the chart for me!
18th week top 10.
If ACR didn't exist, this would probably be on its 4th run at #1 and 10th week in total!
So happy ROCKSTAR is blowing up, such a good song.
Blinding Lights remains an incredible track .
Blinding Lights is the last no.1 that's been around for ages, I don't loathe!
It might help he's hot...

Biography
In 2017, an artist named beabadoobee released a sweet, acoustic ballad called “Coffee.” Fast forward two years, a producer under the name Otterpop sampled the “Coffee” hook into a beat. When young Canadian artist, Powfu, sang and rapped over the beat, then released it last February, it blew up. One year later, it is blowing up for the second time. Powfu’s iteration of “Coffee,” titled “death bed,” is gracefully melancholic. Beyond the title, this is evident through lyrics like “I wish it could be me, but I won’t make it out this bed / I hope I go to heaven so I see you once again.” With a punk-leaning cadence and a vocal timbre similar to G-Eazy, Powfu describes his music as alternative punk lo-fi hip-hop. It is clear each of these elements influences his sound, from songs like “Her Ocean Eyes,” which is reminiscent of the punk hip-hop combination of Twenty One Pilots, to tracks like “I can’t sleep,” in which Powfu both raps and sings over a supporting lo-fi beat. Upon its original Soundcloud release last February, “death bed” gained traction on both Soundcloud and YouTube (the YouTube video now has 27.6 million plays). TikTok soon caught up with this budding viral phenomenon. As of the time of writing this, over 958,900 TikToks have been made with the song, from sentimental videos about relationships and family to aesthetic, artistic videos. One especially popular TikTok trend has accompanied the growth of this song – a video in which the person filming confesses their feelings for a best friend and captures their reaction. This tipping point provoked a demand for the song to be on streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify. Since its release to these platforms just two weeks ago, “death bed” has garnered over 20.8 million streams on Spotify, alone. Today’s technological landscape has allowed Powfu, who has been releasing music consistently since 2018, to invite millions of listeners into his world. The popularity of “death bed” has awarded Powfu substantial, continued exposure for his versatile, sad-boy sound. - OnesToWatch.com

Biography
Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion gained attention in 2016, first with a standout verse on various-artists rap showcase The Houston Cypher. Sexually charged lyrics and nonstop confidence defined her style, and she quickly took off locally. Several one-off tracks led to 2017's Make It Hot mixtape and 2018's follow-up project, Tina Snow. Her debut album, Fever, was released in 2019.
Born Megan Pete in 1995 and raised in Houston, Texas, she grew up the daughter of rapper Holly-Wood (aka Holly Thomas) and was listening to Southern rap staples like Three 6 Mafia and Pimp C from a young age. She was writing her own raps by age 14 but didn't make serious moves until she posted a series of video clips on social media a few years later. Her first official single came with 2016's "Like a Stallion," and her presence on the Houston rap circuit was solidified by decimating all opponents in local freestyle competitions.
Sexually explicit lyrics and effortless flows became signatures of her sound, and after the less-widely distributed 2016 mixtape Rich Ratchet, she released the singles "Pull Up Late" and "Stalli (Freestyle)" in 2017, the latter of which had an accompanying video that would be viewed millions of times. The seven-track EP Make It Hot arrived that same year and a slowed-down "chopped" remix version of the EP followed the next year. Megan's fame grew quickly, and as she gained more fans and followers, she signed with 300 Entertainment in 2018 and released her most consistently produced work to date with the ten-song Tina Snow. The late 2018 collection featured a cameo from Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo and production from Concept P. The project caught on, and a video for single "Big Ole Freak" was streamed millions of times within months of its February 2019 release. Her first studio album, Fever, arrived in May 2019, complete with features from Juicy J and DaBaby. The album hit number ten on the Billboard 200, further cementing Megan's rise. After she and Normani contributed the track "Diamonds" to the 2020 superhero film Birds of Prey, she landed another hit with the attitude-driven solo single "B.I.T.C.H." - iTunes

I just learned 'death bed' on ukulele last night, it has the honor of being the first song I've learned how to play
Why are they not playing the Bey version?
I actually prefer the original to the Beyoncé version but I do appreciate that she wasn't just tacked on!
it's shame OCC doesn't give feature credit to remix.
Why they not playing the Bey version???
I like Megan's surname!
I wished Scott played the Beyoncé remix of Savage!
Never thought Megan would get a top 3 hit in the UK tho .
Doja Cat getting a top-two hit... we love to see it!

Doja you queen!
Is this the most urban top-ten (bar TLT) that we’ve ever had?
This seems like a more fitting peak for 'Say So' considering how impactful it's been.
(Nicki's voice)
dOJA!!!
OCC Chart online says Be Kind is No 45, Mandy Holden is No 53, Regard are No 58 and Oasis No 80. Any surprise none of these are higher?
I’m so glad they’re playing the original of Say So, great to have it up to number two!
what are the occ rules on remixes? like how come bieber gets credit for despacito but no one else does?
QUEEN DOJA SLAYING THE TOP 2 WITH SAY SO *.*. It deserved this peak.
Next week's contender?

Biography
Ariana Grande
Armed with a mesmerizing, nimble soprano—and a vocal register often likened to Mariah Carey’s and Christina Aguilera’s—Ariana Grande began her career as a child star on Broadway and Nickelodeon before transforming into a pop and R&B powerhouse. Instantly recognizable thanks to her signature ponytail, cat ears, babydoll dresses, and breezy self-confidence, her slyly sexual personal brand has, like that of the Spice Girls before her, become an iconic image of young female power. But Grande is more than a symbol: Over the course of several albums and scores of hit singles—beginning with 2013’s “The Way” (featuring Mac Miler) through The Weeknd-assisted “Love Me Harder” and “Break Free” (featuring Zedd)—she has consistently outshined her male collaborators and deftly parlayed her stardom into activism. An LGBTQ advocate and outspoken feminist (“I’m tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man’s past, present, or future PROPERTY,” she tweeted in 2016), she uses her platform to confront issues like misogyny, sexism, homophobia, and bullying, spreading a message of love over all. Nowhere was this more clear than in May 2017: After terrorists attacked her concert in Manchester, England, killing 22 and injuring hundreds, Grande continued her tour. "Perspective changes your life,” she told Beats 1’s Ebro Darden. "You want to stay in the moment and try not to give into fear, because obviously the whole point of finishing the tour was being there for my fans. You want to set the same example and keep going.” And that she did: Her Max Martin-produced smash “No Tears Left to Cry,” an escapist dance-floor triumph released a year after the attack, sends a message of hope and healing, with a dose of hear-me-roar attitude. - iTunes
Justin Bieber
There’s a moment in a 2020 interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe where Justin Bieber begins—quietly, hesitantly—to cry. “It was hard for me being that young and being in the industry, and not knowing where to turn, and everyone telling me they love me, and just turning their back on you in a second,” Bieber says, each clause kicking up memories like dust. The point isn’t to weep with or for him—he had more dreams come true in his first 25 years than most people manage in a lifetime. But he’s also one of the few pop stars of his generation to have truly grown up in public, weathering the cable newsification of celebrity culture in the internet era while still trying to develop as both an artist and a person. Even early on, you could tell he had his eye on the future, balancing a doe-eyed wholesomeness with earnest attempts at hip-hop and R&B, material that suited him as a kid with material that reflected his growth into adolescence and adulthood. Some teen-pop singers end up trapped in amber; Justin Bieber has, knocks and all, kept swimming.
Born in London, Ontario, in 1994, Bieber was famously discovered when his future manager, Scooter Braun, stumbled on some performance videos that Bieber’s mom had uploaded to YouTube to share with family and friends. Braun, who understood not only Bieber’s appeal but the potential of the internet, encouraged him to keep making videos and keep the equipment cheap—an approach that not only helped Bieber’s growing fanbase to understand that he was still just a kid like them, but drafted a new blueprint for how artists could reach audiences in the digital era. With the exception of a voice change around 2011, 2009’s My World, 2010's My World 2.0 and 2012's Believe are more or less of a piece: the sound of a boy trying to stick the landing into puberty. Released in 2015, Purpose showed Bieber developing a more thoughtful connection to his material, including collaborations with vanguard pop producers like Diplo, Skrillex and benny blanco. After a five-year break during which Bieber underwent significant personal changes—including a detox from touring life, a diagnosis of Lyme disease and a epiphanic marriage to Hailey Baldwin—he came back with 2020’s Changes. “People have been putting me on a pedestal,” Bieber told Apple Music. ""I didn’t ask for that. Obviously I love making music, but there are a lot of people that love making music and they’re not in the position that I’m in. I’m just trying to steward that wisely, steward my relationship wisely. I want people to take a look at my story—hopefully, my words can make a difference.” - iTunes

I never could've imagined 'Say So' being a top 2 hit deserved
Okay time to turn chart off lol.
Stuck With U isn’t sticking with me!
Toosie Slide has been growing on me a lot over the last couple of weeks, not a bad number one!
So good to see both Doja and Megan killing it this week . One of them is looking likely to be number 1 on the US hot 100 next week as well while the other one at number 2
Can't believe we've actually put 'Toosie Slide' at #1. How shameful.
Ariana to dethrone this next week please!
Yay happy for Doja! The new Ari/Justin song is awful... and I bet it gets number 1 next week
just another disappointing big name collab
Not a big fan of either remix tbh. Will be sticking with the originals
A far better #1 than The Live Lounge All Stars and Anne-Marie. Well done Drake.
Great to see 'Toosie Slide' #1 My favourite non-'Roses' #1 in a while. DaBaby top 10 is cool too! Didn't expect 'Dinner Guest' that high.
This is probably one of the worst top 10s I’ve ever heard.
Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia has sold 90,574 copies in the U.K. as of 8/5/20.
Miss Lipa’s sophomore effort should be certified GOLD by next week or the week after; this will have been achieved in just 7/8 weeks!
