Clara Henry if I remember rightly did the 'Eftersnack' or whatever it's called back in 2014, she was quite good.
Not wildly over enthusiastic about the other 2 choices personally! |

Hasse? BRING IT ON.
Especially if he has something akin to an impromptu guld och gröna skogar up his sleeve at some point. |

Hasse makes more sense as a presenter than a contestant, even though Guld och gröna skogar did surprisingly well, and was in the Swedish charts for ages too. I don't think he'd pull off the same trick again as a contestant but it's nice to have him around.
David Lindgren is really the only concern for me here as he's so personality-free, but as Martyn says, he's been in theatre so perhaps he can pretend to be more interesting |

The rumour mill is underway and the first names from Aftonbladet are boyband The Fooo Consipiracy, Lisa Ajax, Elisa Lindström and Ida LaFontaine!

Ida is definitely one I'd love to see, Anthem was amazing and I can just imagine how incredible she'd be in ththe context of MF with say a Kempe or Joy/Linnea Deb write *.*
Lisa could also be back with a vengeance, My Heart Wants Me Dead should have done better. |

Intrigued by The Fooo Conspiracy, I loved this song of theirs earlier this year:
(although I didn't like the follow-up so much) |

Someone I know in Sweden says that The Fooo have the type of rabid fanbase that will take them straight to the final and potentially beyond, based on the song I listened of theirs last night I would hope the international juries will save us from them.

Yeah, The Fooo were a pretty big deal there a few years ago.
IDA LAFONTAINE! Hendinia represent clearly. |

It may be good to have a well known band compete (didn't seem to work for Alcazar tho). I've yet to see a Duo or Group win Melodifestivalen in the 9 years I've watched.

Tickets are on sale today! I've just got some for the final, yassss for the first time since 2009! I can only dream that the final is of a similar standard to that year.

Just thought 'what the hell, why not' and bought two tickets for the rehearsal for the final on the Friday evening, if anyone wants to tag along so I can enjoy the experience with someone else. Was very tempted to get a ticket for the actual final but cost (and I have 5th-11th March off work so can fly back before the final if I'm at work on the Sunday :')).

I got final tickets for quite a reasonable cost (£36 each) though they're right at the very back. The prices quickly rise quite steeply for better seats though. I won't get there in time for the rehearsal sadly (I guess I could go to the Sat lunchtime one but think I'd rather immerse myself in Stockholm instead seeing as I'll see it in the evening, plus I'll be with my girlfriend and not sure she'd be too impressed if I devote the whole day to it ) This post has been edited by gooddelta: Nov 7 2016, 04:32 PM |

I Wanna Live was one of my early BJSC 12s, what a tune. Great to see Ida debuting too and Mariette/Lisa/Wiktoria back with a vengeance *.* |

Hoping to make a proper trip of it and stop for three nights so I'll be coming to you for tips on things to see etc. Plans are in motion to go with Ryan too! Will be very excited for Ace as long as it's not another step down in quality. |

Am I the only one not excited by this list?! It just seems like a strong rehash of last year. I'm sure Robin/Ace are set to go DTF. There's also a strong chance Lisa and Wiktoria would go DTF too. The only one from last year I wouldn't see having almost a surefire chance would be Boris; but.... he made the Final last year with his piss poor song.
Mariette and The Fooo Conspiracy also have DTF written all over them. It's almost like we know who's going to be in the Final based on this list 3 Months before Melodifestivalen even begins. Don't get me wrong. They could all crash an burn with a shitty song. I'm just not excited to see so many people that were in the Final last year attempting this again. You had your chance. |
