+ Las Vegas!

Posted by: Sydney11 1st December 2018, 03:44 PM

BST gig not for me, I do not do standing events & not in favour of queuing, I find them too exhausting , in fact I am very lazy when it comes to concerts Robbie or no Robbie

I will get to see him at some stage in the coming years smile.gif as I have no doubt he will still be around for a bit yet , looks like he has many plans & that is fantastic for us fans

I might be interested in the UTR gig , that would possibly be sitting down but I bet those tickets would be impossible to get

Shouldn't be difficult as long as you're an Upfront member and I think there's only about 3,000 members. smile.gif

The gig (I believe) is for Upfront members only.

With just short of a month to go until the release of Under The Radar Volume 3, we are thrilled to announce that if you pre-order your copy now you’ll be automatically entered into a draw to win two tickets to see Robbie perform live at BST Hyde Park on 14 July.

Not only will you and a fellow Friendly get to enjoy Robbie’s only open-air UK concert of the year, but you’ll also get to meet him backstage before the show.

And as if that wasn’t enough, you’ll both be treated to travel to London and an overnight stay in a hotel near to the park!

If you've already pre-ordered your copy of Under The Radar Volume 3, you'll be automatically entered into the draw.

If you haven't, you have until 30 April to pre-order or purchase the album to be in with a chance.

Good luck!

Received this email today. If anyone hasn't pre-ordered yet but wants to. happy.gif

Look it says "is expected to receive its world premiere in 2019 at Stratford -upon-Avon for the festive period. "

I guess if all the songs are done and dusted he doesn't have to do anything more on it.

I know , they must have heard us chatting about it laugh.gif

Posted by: Laura130262 30th January 2019, 12:20 AM

He's been chatting on Upfront about the up coming year.

He finished 24 songs for the David Walliams musical. There will be an Upfront gig this year with a possible live stream for those that can't be there. He is going to be doing XF again and the Christmas album as we know. He's going to sing a new song for Las Vegas and is thinking of making a UFO documentary.

Also he's over in the UK this weekend and I've seen on Diario Italiano today that he is performing at Lionel Messi's party in Barcelona on Thursday.

If anyone doesn't know about the Upfront gig - it will be open to members only and he is going to perform somewhere in London and sing all the B sides and album tracks that fans always ask him to perform. w00t.gif

I cannot keep up with all this stuff going on. Not sure I would make the Upfront gig & I think tickets would be difficult to come by .

So reading this thread back - he hasn't announced returning to Argentina for the missed gig has he?

The UTR gig is to be in the first half of October, somewhere in London.

We still have the David Walliams musical and the Christmas album to come.

That's all we know about anyway.

I wonder if he'll do anything to celebrate thirty years next year? I haven't seen anything mentioned?

Thirty years - how can that be? ohmy.gif

and he mentioned something about a Christmas TV special.

Is he still popular enough to have that on peak time TV do you think? unsure.gif

Time will tell. wink.gif

Posted by: elisabeth1974 17th August 2019, 05:26 AM

I am always wondering about the level of popularity Rob still holds. He sells out Hyde Park. And there is a difference between UK and Europe I assume, despite in Germany, Netherlands, Austria and Italy he still seems to be very popular. It is difficult to say as it always depends on who is doing the reports. I remember when TT have been in Germany during the last tour some of even the small venues they sang were only half full. Rob solo however always had a huge audience there. A bit like Ed Sheeran now. But whoelse is a star these days who joins the generations? Aside of Ed I see a lot of young music, EDM music in the charts, national singers far more than in the past at least in NL and Germany, but no one who would let people watch TV during Christmas with all generations?

Posted by: Sydney11 17th August 2019, 07:26 PM

There are not too many artists doing tv shows these days so I guess it wild depend on the format ...

Posted by: elisabeth1974 18th August 2019, 06:17 AM

I understood from the bits I saw that he is planning at least some kind of Christmas show, I assume in a Michael Buble kind of way and that he is planning a TV format for the future I have no idea about. Personally I think that he will do Las Vegas next year. He is centered near home and those who want to see him will not care that much as flights are not that expensive anymore.
Maybe he will do 4-5 concerts in Europe like this year. I do not see a tour. There was something on twitter the other day when Liam Gallagher asks who will fancy Knebworth next year. Maybe they will do some kind of anniversary: 1 day Liam, I day Rob, 1 day the new hero Ed? Or it was just a tease.

Posted by: Sydney11 18th August 2019, 07:15 PM

I would not mind a bot of a tour to promote the album , we should be hearing something about it fairly soon if it's due out around November time

Liam Gallagher is doing quite well at the mo, he is coming to Dublin fairly soon & they have added a second show , I doubt on his own that he would fill Knebworth, maybe if he gets back with his brother they would certainly sell out

If Oasis reunited - I think they could easily fill Knebworth.

I think Ed Sheeran could too. I'm kind of surprised he hasn't already done it to be honest.

Mind you - the last couple of tours - he's only sang two or three songs from the latest album anyway. So anything is possible.

I'd like him to get the Christmas album over with quick and then do a rock album - that would make me very happy. yahoo.gif
