HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!

Welcome back to Oneirozo, the heart of Taahino!

I'm Stephanie Beatriz (you may know me as Rosa Diaz from Brooklyn Nine Nine) and it is my pleasure to share our LGBTQ+ Pride Month celebrations with you all.

I'm proud to represent Taahino and my community to bring you the results for such a diverse and fabulous contest - very fitting for the theme!

You can catch me back here at 7pm where we'll kick things off. Thank you once again for taking part in this celebration,

I expect the big contenders will be Tove Lo, Halsey and Hayley Kiyoko, maybe MNEK and GIRLI too. Not too sure beyond that. Hoping for a decent finish for SOPHIE tonight.

Just a heads up, all of the scoreboards just include the country names and not their entry so this post will be handy to jump back to if you can't remember who sent what most people tend to use the scoreboards to track their own progress anyway, it was just easier for me to do it this way because of how my spreadsheet is done

Here for Mosquetania, Skall and Cowtermont's slayage so far! 'Tongue' would be a fab winner and could defo see it holding it now!

On the positive side, great to see Cowtermont and Skall deservedly smashing with those wonderful entries.

I think, I know it's a little anti-BJSC, but I was going more for hoping the lyrics would resonate with some people, which is a risky strategy with a foreign language entry I KNOW, but they are given as translations in the video so... idk.

A bit disappointed in that winner as it was in the bottom half of my rankings but wd Cameron! Results on the whole are a bit mixed, can't believe Pupok mixed top 10 :/ Happy with C.L.A.T. though, was expecting just below top 20 ish really so 14th is fab!

Yessss thank you Bray and mdh for pushing me into the top 10 when it mattered most, absolutely elated with 9th!! I think that's my 8th spinoff top 10 now, not including BJ10 and Andra Chansen. Excellent stuff, glad Arca could eventually be sent with this and with a good result at that <3

Yay at me predicting Hushkanukia as the winners, I've been on the money twice in a row with the spinoff winners *.* if only I was a fraction as good at predicting in the main BJSC happy with that winner as I gave Shura 7 points! Then my 13 pointer is second, fab *.* and ooh my 18 Scissor Sisters is in the top 10! So good stuff on the whole. Really surprised that 'Bitches' didn't finish in the top 10 idk if it was being penalised or not, I certainly didn't penalise anything anyway, just didn't click with me.

Well... at least it wasn't only me that voted for Iz!! Poor poor hen.

Congrats Cameron, a pretty good winner as it was a commiseration for me, woulda preferred Mosquetania easily but ah well! Fantastic to see Cowtermont in the top 5 (nearly another 3rd place!!1) along with FARC, and Skall and Jadakissnia making the top 10. <3 Kinda disappointing performance for Espen as that was such a clear standout for me but at least I got it to 100 points. I actually thought that Utopia would do a bit better than that too despite being a rap song!

I was almost certain that Pupok would have won eek, as if it didn't even go top 10! (Happy that it didn't though as I'm not that big a fan of it, although it did grow on me a bit with a second and third listen).

Should be just scraping the top half after the deductions, yay thanks for hosting Lindsey, really enjoyed this spinoff.

Congrats Cam! That song was 19th in my ranking, after Persephonia (16th), Medhelnia (17th) and Thelonia (18th). So it was Persephonia who was battling it out with Desbuanda for my 1 pointer as I mentioned in the other thread

This is actually my second result of 16th in a spin-off in a row lol (and third overall!). Fun. Thanks Lindsey for all your work in hosting!

you sent in votes at 10 oclock last night, I clearly stated in the thread I'd only accept them until 2pm hence why you've been noted as a non-voter. I don't make up the rules as I go along, it's in the framework, which you obviously haven't read, I also outlined the deduction rules in the opening post of the voting thread and I posted about this last night too, maybe you should actually check replies/read topics before you post things like this.

OK Lindsey.....I did read the framework, but I was really hoping that because the results weren't released until today you would have allowed late votes for longer...clearly I was wrong . I am glad I took the effort to listen to the entries to vote anyway, even though my votes didn't count, as the quality was brilliant in this contest!

I didn't read the thread last night or look back through it, apologies for that too, I should have done, I still would have posted expressing my disappointment at not being under late votes but accepting that rules are rules.

I've had a busy week so I didn't have the chance to input votes when I received them like I usually would have which meant I spent most of yesterday putting all 39 votes into the spreadsheet, I was fully aiming to present results last night but due to unforseen things coming up irl it meant that I didn't have the time I thought I would. 2pm was my cut off to allow myself time to actually collate all the votes and then prep all of the results thread presentation and scoreboards. I'm guessing you don't understand the amount of time that has to go into that, I didn't decline your votes just because I could and "oh lindspam makes the rules", I did it because it would have caused problems to my prep work had I included them. Cody recieved the same response when he asked if he could send in votes today and I'm not gonna bend the rules for anyone. Like Liam said, there's a reason we have deadlines in advance of the results thread going up. I didn't even need to accept late votes at all but I did. I was even generous and gave you just over a week to vote so it's not like there wasn't enough time allocated either. I don't appreciate being made out to be some strict inhumane moderator just because I didn't accept votes which you were quite frankly rude enough to send in nearly nine hours after an already extended deadline, without even asking if it was okay first.

Top 20 *.* Very pleased with that, especially with how long it took to take off. Thanks to Jester and RFC for the 18s, relying a lot on the retro indie bloc this time (if only Pavel still entered), it's one of my favourites and a beautiful song with such universal meaning, so nice to see it appeal to some others too, despite being a little cheap x

Great winner, congrats Cam! I thought that might be one actually as I do recall it being quite popular when it was on plug a few years back, excellent to see Cowtermont and South Danaelanda in the top 10, both a pretty easy top 2 and fantastic discoveries, Mary there as well Kinda REALLY glad at Bitches underperforming (sorry lotti), I didn't get it at all and the winning predictions were baffling me.

Lindsey has not only busted her ass off outside of this site, but she's busted her ass off in getting this specific themed contest off the ground, as well as taking time out of her hectic schedule to host the biggest spin off to date (which requires a lot of hard work and time as it is).

Deadlines are deadlines, results need to be prepped and ready for the results show. Like Liam said, there really isn't a point if we keep accepting votes way past, not only the original deadline, but the extended "late votes" deadline. It wasn't even "just an hour". It was 8 hours after.

Come on guys. This is BJSC. The voting periods have always been the same, at least to me? I don't see why people struggle with that when they've been taking part for months and in some cases, even years. It makes it worse saying that you did read it and decided to send anyway, then get upset/question why your results weren't included. Idgi.

Lol alright bit of an overreaction. Snake's accepted his votes weren't counted and apologised, doesn't need ppl to jump on him. Everyone appreciates how long/much effort is required to host & present these things, I really don't think it was done deliberately and/or maliciously.

Admittedly I should have sat this contest out. Never really got round to even listening to all the songs & with the World Cup starting and such a large turnout it was too big a task to fairly rank/vote for them. I do like that winning song though & glad my last minute entry picked up a few middling fans!

i don't really think it is an overreaction - i like the snake but he seems to do this woe is me thing that is evident in his post after lindsey had explained why she didn't accept votes. it doesn't come across as acceptance of it at all, he even explicitly said he would've said he would've been disappointed they weren't accepted despite the fact lindsey made clear the rules outlined within the topic when he has no-one but himself to blame! also going in this thread 'but my votes WERE made' in some sort of ignorant attempt to act like he had voted acceptably when he was stupidly late (which as a member we should realise means our votes may not be accepted, it isn't any different month to month) when the deduction was applied just shows that he's a bit of a chancer LOL. sorry but it happens all the time with the snake, i'm definitely not surprised someone said something!

come on snakey, you need to be more understanding and accepting of the rules without putting forth the sort of victimised tone that the post comes with.
