I’m still shocked Motivation wasn’t huge! It felt like it had serious promo and hype.

The video! Amazing, what a star.
Adore the song, but it’s exactly the sort of thing I always lap up so I’m not surprised ha. Love the Aaliyah sample and I’m getting Ciara ‘Ride’ vibes which is one my all-time favourite songs so I never wasn’t going to love it. Actually think I’d prefer it with Cardi, I don’t really think she’s needed here and she ruins the flow a bit for me. |

Need to watch the video but the song is very good. I really think Cardi's part detracts from it though (surprise surprise). She doesn't suit mid-tempo, smooth r&b tracks like this one. Her style is too OTT and it's hard to take seriously (my main issue with her in general)
But otherwise.. so good! |

The video is WOW
 my mouth was wide open through the whole thing  . The song is a whole vibe and bop as well . You can really feel Normani’s growth and confidence through the screen and the fire behind her eyes as well, she’s such a star !
