I don't understand how Kelty made it pass auditions. Michael and Clarissa too! How far through the season are you? My favourites from season 5 were Jules, Daniel, Samira and Lucy. i am in finals week. tbh the show is so ridiculously crazy in its format that it's a case of luck of the draw with the tasks and as aaron has said you take a risk and you go home. out of everybody i would say rishi (even with his arrogance) or samira deserve to win but it's quite clear ten have been setting up lydon for it. just look at his intro on the credits. very biased and i'm sure the mother's of oz love him. |

Kelty should never have stayed for as long as he did, and his fuck up costing the far superior Jules to miss out on coming back was sacrilege. Plus everything about him annoyed me from day one.

well that was definitely a very underwhelming final. what is it emma did to warrant the title of masterchef? it felt utterly ridiculous.
you can see why it's faltering in the aussie ratings. you need to celebrate the best gutsy cooks and that judging panel is just awful, the three of them are difficult to tell apart and blend into one. lovely to see ten have learnt and have kept the panel the same for season 6... |

They tried adding Matt Moran as a permanent judge a while back, but it disrupted the flow and they quickly demoted him.
As much as I hate to say it, I love the flow of the three judges we have. Gary is by far the weakest however, George I love and Matt Preston really rounds things off well. If they were to add a female, I'd have a tough time picking between Maggie Beer and Kylie Kwong. Marco Pierre White can suck an egg. He has been, and always will be, terrible. Masterchef The Professionals was horrendous to watch. |

I'll send you a linque for a torrent website that specializes in Australian Torrents.
Masterchef Australia, MKR, The Block, Australias NTM (if that ever returns).. They're all uploaded pretty much within an hour of being on TV. And the great thing for me is that's usually 7AM in the morning for me. |

'nother preview. Looks like a big group this year. Will make it hard for me to do my ranking (yes, Aaron's Top 100 will return this year). In other Australian TV news. My Kitchayn Rules ended last night. I was a little iffy on the result. There's alot that's come out about the show this last week, such as fake drama and the fact that the home cooks didn't always 100% cook their own dishes.. I'll see if I can get around to a little debrief.. but this year was not as good as last year.. that's for sure. |

STARTED.
We get auditions this year. Kind of - just skimmed the episodes. Looks like shortlisted people and US Masterchef-esq auditions. Will watch the episode tonight. Over an hour of Masterchef Goodness. |

Yeah, it's not the best. Clearly they were going to need to give out more than 12 Aprons, especially since they gave out all 12 like 30 minutes into the show.
A lot of these people seem to have a lot of potential at Ben's brother not even making it on. The Gay Guy with his Nan was cute. Clearly anyone they showed was either getting an Apron, or a Second Chance. There are ALOT of people we saw that we know make it on - because they were in the preview. The guy that failed on his meat, not sure how he got a second chance. Your dream is to cook Meat, and you can't cook Meat. GTFO. He got two Yes's as well - f*** off. This isn't Masterchef: Just Vegetables. That last chicks Daughter looked like a dude. This post has been edited by Aaron.: 6th May 2014, 01:04 AM |

Also, top 24 this year? Holy f*** my Ranking is going to be SO screwed.
They gave out 14 aprons, plus 10 tomorrow if what I heard was right? Oh my gee. But I'm glad this is back. Hopefully it's like a Traditional Masterchef. That last chick can be Julie, and that girl with the unfortunate Brain injury can be Poh. |

Episode 2.
Ehh. They still have issues showcasing a lot of these people. Shocked Hamish didn't make it through. The producers usually love the "I'm a ______ but it's not what I want to do" and he was milking that to no end. Guaranteed he comes back next year and makes Top 10 easy. Ashleigh (the old lady) was cute, but clearly was out of her depths. Nolene had substance. She really didn't bring anything special. Hot guy with the white V-Neck shirt (Byron). Yum. But kind of an idiot. Happy he made it through! |
