I think your choices would work really well and it wouldn't surprise me at all if that's exactly what she goes with.

I can see her staring with music and it would be a great choice! Could also see hung up or vogue being used to open. Closing will be like a prayer or holiday.

Celebration could actually work as the opener and closer (but if it’s one or other I’d much rather it open and have the come join the party line) and chorus be the opener leading into Music.
Like a prayer feels like a real moment for closer but I know she’s a fan of Holiday being used in the later half of her shows. Don’t Tell Me (particularly the don’t ever tell me to stop) line feels like a statement what could work as a closer too as a left field choice but I think it’ll be a big hit. Not long to go! So hope I get to see a full show and she’s on stage at the right time (I’d hate to miss Like a prayer though). I said this In another thread but I wonder if each show may be slightly different in terms of set list. As it’s a celebration tour of her whole career I feel like some songs may be on all shows and then a few surprises each show of more fan favourites. |

'Holiday' is Madonna's most popular closing song so equally she could go with that again, although I'd rather it opened for a change and I think opening with her breakthrough hit would be fitting for the "celebrating 4 decades in music" theme. 'Into the Groove' would be a fantastic opening song too and I'd die a happy man if she re-created 'Hung Up' from the Confessions Tour as the closing number. |
