Welcome all to the Federal Republic of Ashton's glorious capital, Morpeth Cove!

You join us this evening in the beautiful suburb of Cove City on the Bay of Morpeth's southern edge for the 7th Nominations for The Best of the Buzzjack Song Contest!

Similarly to the Rejects competition you need to PM me (Silas) your 5 Favourite songs from each contest THAT DID NOT WIN giving 5 points to your favourite of the 5 and 1 point to your least favourite of your top 5. As always you need to have participated in one contest this decade to be eligible to take part in TBO and you can nominate in as many or as few contests as you like. Please just send one PM with all your nominations. Also, don't be that douche that votes for themselves.

Please include the country name, artist, title and contest for each of your nominations. Failure to do so will result in them being sent back to you to fix. Please please please don't be a fanny and nominate a winner, I will apply a hefty deduction to your entries if you do so (Consider yourselves warned). A small 5 point deduction will be applied for non-voters as per TBO standards.

You have until 23:59 GMT on Monday December 15th to nominate. Results will follow the day after. Please be kind this is my first attempt at doing nominations in 7 years of TBO, I miss just waltzing in for a Heat and a Final already.

Well Jack and Silas are supposed to be hosting the semis between them (one is on holiday and one is Silas - that isn't meant to come across horribly by the way, I'm just taking into account your situation) and then Silas has the final as well according at the Green Room thread so I guess this is unlikely to be finished in time for BJSC 71 to start on time (which I assume is the beginning to mid January if the timetable follows last year).

Silas, I appreciate (and sympathise in the scenario of your leg, because nobody can ever plan or say BJSC comes before that) your business and the time of year, so can I suggest you stop setting times for when the results will be up and just put it up when you're ready and can do it. It'd be better from every angle, for people who are expecting it and for you who knows that you might not be able to make it. When you're free and ready, at this stage, just get it up and going, any evening there's going to be people around for it, instead of setting yourself up for a fall by giving yourself set times and deadlines that you can't fulfil.

Gotta agree. At some point people will just not show up even if there's a set time because of the history with you and deadlines. So instead of promising, just do it whenever you can regardless of the amount of responses the thread will get, because, let's be honest, it's not looking like it's going to be a good number, and then move onto another stage.

I didn't want to have to say this but it has gone beyond a joke now. Of course every now and then there will be reasons why things can't be presented on time (and like Rob says your broken leg couldn't be planned for!), but I'm not sure I can recall anything you've hosted in here ever happening on time which is why the reaction above is what it is. It just seems a shame that there are so many people who would love to host some of the competitions and have some of the responsibilities you do and would do it on time, but it seems that you just see it as this side annoyance (which I'm sure isn't the intention but is the vibe that is given off sometimes) that just keeps getting put off.

We know that you are busy and have other commitments but with that being the case surely it makes sense to hand more responsibility over to your fellow moderators and even to the other members here if needs be? We all want the BJSC forum to be the best it can be but we're at a situation where TBO is running weeks late, the Reloaded results being massively late (not just your fault of course but maybe they should be handed over again to someone else) and no sign of the CRC nearly a year after first promised. It seems like you take on so much and because there is so much it more than likely results in promises you make not being fulfilled as someone else said above.

I really don't want this to come across as a personal attack, I want it to come across in that I think it'd be better if the workload was spread out more evenly (than what it looks) so you don't commit to so much that it is impossible for you to complete. Of course I don't know what goes on behind the scenes but so much help is available!
