I think this was done a few years ago on the Lounge where people voted for who their hero/villain was for that month.

Let's give this a try here.

Who has been your sporting hero of the month and why?

Also which sportsman has been your villain of the month and why?

My sporting heroes of April:

Leighton Aspell- For winning his 2nd Grand National in a row on Many Clouds after winning it the previous year on Pineau De Re.

Tony McCoy- For becoming a 20-time champion jockey and on his retirement.

Eddie Howe & Every player of AFC Bournemouth-

For winning promotion to the Premier League and winning the Championship. From being near relegation from out the Football League in 2009 to the top tier of football in 6 years.

Villains of April:

Ronnie O'Sullivan: Moaning about most things. Taking his shoes off in the first match, making an obscene gesture in the second round against Matthew Stevens and that chalk incident in the quarter-finals against Stuart Bingham.

Aidan Coleman- For failing to stay on The Druids Nephew in the Grand National when in the lead and looking good for a place. And also I backed him!!

Sports Hero

Carey Price- He play first-round series against Ottawa that is much closer.

Sports Villain

Tom Wilson-Wilson was given a minor penalty for charging after he barreled into Visnovsky, who'd just unloaded the puck in the Islanders' zone.
