Disclaimer: I have no clue this month and nothing has really been overly hyped to give me any indication, so these opening RontBet odds are a complete shot in the dark which will no doubt be altered drastically after the Plug session. But if nothing else these will hopefully get the ball rolling on some discussion:

I can't at those odds. Not going to get my hopes up at all regarding a potential win but I have a good feeling DJ Licious will at least bring me back into the top 20. Nothing does stand out to me as a winner at this point, but that seems to often be the case with BJSC these days, the days of obvious landslide winners are well and truly over (which is only a good thing imo). |

I'd say Monopoly and Save It were the last two obvious winners but I agree it's getting rarer and rarer. I have called a few others correctly recently, but only through luck in months where there were three or four close contenders.
In the earlier contests it was far easier to spot winners from a mile off, but mainly because a lot of them were uninspired or cheap in some way and therefore had an existing large fanbase and a headstart over the pack. Monopoly and Save It aren't examples of this, they were simply both great songs with mass widespread apppeal, which does still happen from time to time but things are a lot closer together nowadays most of the time. I think for two reasons, firstly the veto rules which help a lot and secondly I do believe a lot more people have cracked the forumla to doing well. In 2009-11 it was a revolving door of the same people winning all the time but it's not so much like that now, although there's always the Aeroche's, Cor Lupus's and Ultraviolenceland's who seem to get it right more than most. |

I love the fact that Vera Blue is the artist formerly known as folk balladeer Celia Pavey, formerly of Delta's team on The Voice Australia! Quite a change in sound and style for her.

(Not taking any odds seriously after the back to back Cardiknox and Oonagh being over predicted ) I would love to have a song peak above 9/10 in the top 10 since PVRIS are my only ones to |

Not bad odds for me tbh. Would love to not finish top 5 in my semi but idk how weak or strong the majority of voters consider my semi.
