I was born in 1983, there are my highlights.

Renee and Renato - Just One More Kiss

Almost as good as their debut big hit "Save Your Love".

Sweet Dreams - I'm Never Giving Up

British Eurovision entry and my favourite single from this year.

Kirsty MacColl - Terry

Maybe it's my favourite her song.

+ Brotherhood Of Man - When The Kissing Stops

+ Mike Oldfield and Maggie Reilly - Moonlight Shadow

+ ABBA - Thank You For The Music

Interesting question! I don’t know what was from 1979 aside from Blondie’s ‘Sunday Girl’ as I know that was my birth #1. I’ll do some digging to find out more...

That was a great year for chart toppers in general with the likes of 'Heart of Glass', 'Another Brick In The Wall' and 'Are 'Friends' Electric?' as well *.*

These songs from 1992 are on my iTunes (some others may be there too that aren't tagged)

Yothu Yindi - Treaty
Smart E's - Sesame's Treet
SL2 - On a Ragga Tip
Rage Against The Machine - Killing in the Name
Manic Street Preachers - Motorcycle Emptiness
House of Pain - Jump Around
The Shamen - Ebeneezer Goode
U2 - One
CeCe Peniston - Finally
Radiohead - Creep
Primal Scream - Movin' On Up

Some great songs here, though it wasn't the best 90s year, in least in comparison to some others (I do have a soft spot for some of the songs just because though, like my birthday number 1, I Will Always Love You)

1987 was an incredible year, the best of the 80s by far
especially towards the end of the year with China in Your Hand,
The PSB covering Always on my Mind and Fairytale of New York

Same!

I'm not a massive fan of the music from 1990 but the holy trinity of that year has to be "Vision Of Love", "I'm Your Baby Tonight" and "Vogue".

Oh yes actually that is one of Whitney's best as well - that whole album is pretty strong. Basically 1990 is about peak Whitney and Mariah introducing herself to the world. <3

1990 wasn't great was it.

Roxette - It Must Have Been Love, could that be classed as 90?

Kylie Minogue - Better The Devil You Know
Wilson Phillips - Hold On
Roxette - Listen To Your Heart / Dangerous
Belinda Carlisle - (We Want) The Same Thing
