Theme: Louis Loves
Guests: Clean Bandit, Busted
They'll be singing two songs each I assume, I wonder if both will be Louis Loves?
Louis Loves SHOULD give us the best mix of the year (perhaps in years?), assuming they actually do go down the fun/upbeat/throwaway pop route it would suggest. Watch Emily get I Have A Dream or something.
Matt Edmondson confirmed on Xtra that they're singing two songs each but no idea if it's two from Louis Loves or if one is free choice!
I wonder what song Honey G will sing twice?
I wonder which rap songs Louis loves? God knows what Honey G will end up with.
Saara needs to go Eurovision please, it's her roots and I'm sure Louis loves it.
Louis mentioned Adele as one of his 'Louis Loves' artists, so hopefully Saara can do one of her songs and smash it!
Because it's Louis Loves I'm just fearing the worst, that it will be some cheesy mix like:
Emily - C'est La Vie
Saara - some cheesy Eurovision song from the 80s
Honey G - Ghostbusters
Matt - Never Gonna Give You Up
5am - Agadoo
Saara singing Set Fire To The Rain would be epic. It's a bit more uptempo has more to work with performance wise, but it still has the huge vocals.
Saara to do Euphoria please.
Saara for Sound Of Silence
Saara actually gave us her top 3 Eurovision songs of all-time in a Facebook Live a few weeks ago. Molitva (Serbia 2007) and Stronger Every Minute (Cyprus 2004) were definitely two of them but I can't remember the other!
I do fear she will get Dancing Queen or something like that and that won't be the vote grabber she needs.
Molitva her fave? Even bigger reason to stan her! She should do Euphoria for sure.
I would like Emily to be in the bottom two with Honey G and then that way, they will have to send Honey G home or I'd like to see Saara in the bottom two with Honey G as we know Sharon will abstain from voting if this is the case
A Saara/Honey G bottom 2 only goes one way and it isn't the GOOD way.
I'm really not sure how they'll treat Honey G anymore, it's rare they save the novelty act twice and if Sharon abstains as usual then that means they would have to save her by a majority again.
Simon didn't seem quite as enthusiastic about Honey G on Sunday night either so maybe she won't get glowing comments as always? I really can't see her rebounding enough to avoid the bottom 2 this week, and surely she's a goner? They won't want to send home any of Matt/Emily/5AM over her and Saara isn't exactly hated by the judges either (or the producers going by how many late slots she's been given ), it just depends on whether they wheel out the "you've been in the bottom 2 loads of times" excuse or not.
Louis & Nicole would save Saara wouldn't they?
Nicole surely would but I wouldn't rely on Louis for anything tbh!
I'm almost certain Nicole would save Saara (her wildcard after all), Simon would save Honey and then Louis will have his Carolynne Poole moment and send Saara home. I'm sure they'll try and get another week or two out of Honey if possible. I think the only hope is if 5AM or Emily drop below Saara which isn't completely out of the question seeing as 2 songs should suit Saara more than any other contestant, and least suit Emily.
I'm Honey G fan, but I'm pretty sure she will leave the competition this Sunday.
I wonder if they'll be trying to get Ariana in for the duets? I imagine her with Matt would be amazing!
I'm hoping for a night of UNABASHED joy tonight
What's with Emily always getting the later slots?
Because she is forgettable
Another Matt decent performance.
Hmm, that wasn't up to his usual standard vocally.
I feel he was struggling at the "be like that" parts...
Quite the comedown from last week, probably cos I don't like that song.
Not his best performance... last week's performance was even better.
Very good again from Matt. It would have been hard to top last week
Very smart idea to change up the arrangement of TWTIA for Saara
Just noticed Sara is lesbian a few days ago and her girlfriend is very masculine.
I wonder if everyone knew it since the beginning of the Live Shows.
Wow, this arrangement really makes you realize how emotional the song is
Well that was a bit of a masterclass.
Saara just absolutely smashed it *.*
By far her best performance.
Amazing.
I feel like it needed to have a bit more of a MOMENT at the end, it built up and dropped back a little too quickly but that was such a great vocal and amazing reworking of it.
That wasn't the strongest vocal from Matt, but I did enjoy it.
Saara is smashing this - great arrangement too!
I liked it but it wasn't incredible imo.
One of my favourite ever songs and Saara did it justice. I really want her to win but its gonna be Matt isn't it....
Saara making the final would be 'victory' enough for me at this stage.
Those comments by the judges are going to seem ludicrous when they inevitably save Honey over her tomorrow night, but the comments were completely deserved as Saara was absolutely phenomenal. The crowd standing up as she hit the big notes was such a moment!
Saara was amazing!!
I just worry that it was too theatrical for her to get lots of votes, so she may still be bottom two
Omg this Honey G chat with her mum is serious ALTERNATE REALITY stuff. How her mum is able to take this seriously...
Only U can't Touch This not Supefreak too?
Honey Time!
What on earth just happened?
Please leave Honey G...
Maybe it was Calvin Harris again?
Wait, did she just get sexually assaulted live on air???
Well that was fun
How ODD. I don't really care for her all that much but some people need to know what boundaries are.
that stage invasion not quite the egg throwing moment but whatever
I've just rewound it and you can see the "invaders" waiting at the top of the stairs for a couple of seconds before suddenly running down them and on to the stage, I'm pretty sure it was orchestrated for headlines as usual.
Fleur must be spinning in her grave watching this
Yep, didn't like it.
Oh dear
5AM are terrible vocally, really terrible They don't have great stage presence to make up for it either.
Looked like a safe performance, nothing more, win or lose this competition, they will get a record contract in some form.
The vocals weren't great, but I think it has to be accepted that they're not the best singers in the competition.
They know how to put on a performance and I'd much rather watch them than Emily every week
Oh LAWDY those vocals are shocking
Round One:
01 Saara Aalto - Winner Takes It All
02 Matt Terry - Secret Love Song
03 5 After Midnight - Uptown Funk
04 Emily Middlemas - Toxic
05 Honey G - Can't Touch This/Super Freak
At least one of Emily and 5am are going to make the final. Think about that for a moment. It makes you realise how bad things are compared say 2008-10, would never have made it back then imo
That was probably one of her better performances, although that's not saying much.
I want her to move a bit, not standing like a mannequin, performance wise pretty basic.
I hope the second performances are a lot better.
I would rank them but only Saara put in a performance even worthy of being at this stage of the show so there's no point.
Is there another theme for the second lot, or still Louis Loves, haven't been paying attention.
Tbf to Emily ( ) people are criticising her for being to samey, but it's no different to all the other acts doing the same things in their performances... 5 After Midnight especially! Winds me up they're getting away with doing the same performance week in, week out..
He really needed to Belt during this for a moment. Saara >>>>
it's his worst performance to date. Simply awful.
Hmm, he wasn't as good as Saara but it was miles better than his first performance. He did sound like he was struggling a little in the spoken bits though, so now we know why he sticks to the belting all the time.
Wasn't sure about that all.
I thought he did quite well at that. He kinda went off a bit at the end but he coped with it better than I thought he would.
Didn't beat Saara's version though.
Liked it more than I expected to actually, tho still far from his best.
Not as good as Saara.
IM SO READY HONEY G TO DO BLACK BEATLES
Better from his first performance... but not that great.
This focus group is so weird
Heavy auto tune for 5AM?
What's this auto-tuned mess of a start?
Lmao, they aren't even trying to hide the backing vocals
You know its bad when they sound bad with auto tune!!!
This is absolutely dreadful! Holy wow.
Just turned on but this is horrendous
They sound robotic.
So over produced
Their audition was actually really good. This was just a bit of a mess
I like the boys, but this was a mess.
Everyone's awful tonight. Well, Saara was ok, but I don't love her like everyone here.
Glad its not just me who notices how much help 5AM get
Better from them, as in not completely terrible.
That was awful
Oh go on honey g
That did not work for me.
Honey G time
Sharon Osbourne LMAO
It's not as iconic as someone on the Australian X Factor doing this with Salt'n'Peppa as their final duet.
IM CRYING
What was that
That was outrageously good.
Lol what the f*** just happened.
She didn't even know any of the words?
That was *.*
Ugh.
Push It was fine, but she clearly just ZOMBIE WALKED her way through the rest. How odd.
Hang on, just reading back your comments from earlier. WHAT HAPPENED?
0 effort given to the 'Black Beatles' part from her X Factor mannequin challenge was iconic tho
Performance of the night
How many words did she actually "rap" there?
Black Beatles was disappointing but amazing at the same time!
Ooh. Saara closing the show!? It's a shame it's not with 'Winner Takes It All' as that seemed like the perfect show closer!
As much as I love Honey G, having the whole audience planned to do the mannequin challenge with her makes it look even more like a fix that there was one rebel who was against the planned stunt. Makes the stage invasion even more unlikely.
This is not bad
That was actually rather GOOD???? Her voice was too weak for parts of it (but then the backing vocalists were quite loud), but that was the first time I've ever felt she had genuine potential.
That shouldn't have worked at all but strangely I didn't mind it. Still far too weak vocally to even be at this stage but at least it wasn't a demolition job like her last few.
Really hope this can give the song the boost it needs
Emily actually doing a decent performance
Her voice was not strong enough really. The backing vocalists really saved it in the chorus and made it feel like it wasn't weak.
She coped okay though and it was one of her best performances.
Brilliant song choice, I heard it the first time last Thursday, that has to be her best performance to date.
That was great! I agree with John, it was the first time I thought she lived up to the hype. The last 30 seconds or so (when she does her paper thin, whispery voice) was awful, but everything else... really pleasently surprised! Even if the backing track was a little too loud, but hey if it works for 5 After Midnight?
The product placement in these VT's is ON POINT
Omg I love her so much, that was just the best thing ever.
Saara has been incredible tonight and I haven't even been with her completely the whole way.
Saara is my favourite by miles *.* Her first performance was better tonight but that one was a lot of fun!
A bit too theatrical that, made more sense to do that under the Louis Loves section!
Honey G to go home, I really don't know which other act could be in the bottom 2, but it could be Saara or 5AM, actually I don't even have a clue.
Just rewatched all the performances, omg 5AM are becoming so predictable and boring, they need to leave tomorrow
Honey G will go tomorrow night but 5th place is still incredible!
That was a bit too cheesy, but she was still the best of the night!
Sarra slayed tonight, Emily SOMEHOW ended up second for me and Matt a distant third. 5AM were their usual underwhelming vocally assisted selves and Honey was a mess.
I think Honey G and Emily in the bottom. If not 5AM, I think Saara will be ok
Unfortunately I can't see anything other than a Honey vs Saara sing-off, and even if any of the other 3 join one of them they'll surely save them?
The theme for next week is pretty much looking obvious 80s and saving Christmas for the final. I wonder if the jukebox is fixed.
Honey G and 5AM bottom 2? I think so.
Flipping hell. Saara smashed both performances! I feel like her final performance was outrageous enough to steal all the light away from Honey G.
I'd say 5AM probably just about did enough, or have enough of a base, to avoid being bottom 2. Saara V Honey seems most likely. I don't honestly know which way that would go, Honey was pretty shit tonight even by joke act standards and Simon was all over TWTIA so I'd be slightly more inclined to Saara staying.
Honey G is almost certainly in the bottom 2 and then it's one of Saara or 5AM to join her I think!
Emily was the star of tonight for me, she's finally come into her own as an artist. Human was a really inspired choice and it resulted in my favourite performance tonight. Also loved Saara's first performance, didn't enjoy the second but that's more because it was like something out of a musical, which is really not my thing! Matt was solid, and 5AM were fun despite their heavy backing tracks. Honey G.... nah, really needs to go at this point, everyone else is so much better.
Watching on +1. Matt's version of Alive is an abomination.
Saara won't be anywhere near bottom 2 tonight. Her performances would have appealed to the average x factor viewer. The only question is whether Simon will try to derail her (again? I suspect he tried this week) next week. Problem he has is that she's just so good and everybody else is poor.
Watching ITV2, if Honey G and Saara do end up in the bottom 2, it really sounds like the judges are backing Saara more than Honey G they are giving praise for her first performance. I do think this is the end of the road for Honey G, thank god for that.
I don't get praise of Emily? Toxic was absolutely dire, especially compared to people who covered the song before her, Human was okay-ish, but she didn't even sing the chorus you could only hear the backing vocals, Matt was great with SLS, but Alive was terrible, Saara's cover was much stronger. 5AM were absolutely dire as usual, they can't sing AT ALL. The whole Sorry part was autotuned, it's embarrassing.
Saara OTOH again stole the show, brilliant first song! Easily best performance of the whole series, Diamond song was bit boring at parts but still better than other performances. Honey G was just awful in first performance, 2nd was bit better.
1. Saara
2. Matt
3. Emily
4. Honey G
5. 5AM
I think it'll be a Honey/Emily bottom two after that tonight. Matt, 5am and Saara all got "get to the final" shouts tonight, but the other two noticeably didn't. Even her own mentor, Simon, said "please give her a chance and get her through to the semis" which sounded like a plea of uncertainty with no passionate prospects of the final that the other 3 got.
Also, noticeably, aswell as final shouts, 5am, Saara and Honey got full standing ovations. Matt's praise wasn't big at all and aside from the final shout, he got a pretty average push with the judges comments but I can't see him struggling at this stage, where people like my mum have just voted for him 3x despite the fact she was out and didn't watch it.
Saara's just gone above Emily in the odds, third favourite to win now and 7/1 to go.
Saara's about to become second favourite to win at a couple of bookies too, on the brink of passing 5AM! This is quite shocking, but it does seem like Saara may have just pulled it out the bag again or at least convinced judges enough to ditch Honey in a sing-off scenario.
I thought the producers were going to push Saara under the bus, but she was the first performance after the Strictly overlap (should take a few of those app votes that is open from the start) and then she was given the privilege of a running order change and given the pimp slot too. The Finland remarks started up again which was a slight worry, but it felt mostly positive for Saara which I was surprised but thrilled about.
This is going to be a real test for Emily's support, but I still think Scotland will do enough to push Saara down to 4th - them two and 5AM will no doubt be very close though. That said, the odds have been fairly reliable this series so Saara may be able to defy expectations yet again!
I could be seeing it wrong but tonight just had a very clear feeling of pushing for a Matt/5am/Saara final. But I need to remind myself not to get my hopes up for Saara, as much as she deserves it.
If Saara and Honey G are bottom 2, Sharon will just abstain, the remaining judges are going to keep Saara over Honey G, I just feel the other contestants have done enough, 5AM were a bit ropey but their fans will probably keep them in, Emily really pulled it off in the second performance, Human has practically gone top 3 on iTunes for Rag'N'Bone Man, and Matt seems a dead cert for the final.
The only reason I think the producers would worry about having Saara in the final is because her vote is seemingly so volatile, there is the potential for her to absolutely smash an arena performance and absolutely smash a winner's song if she somehow reached the final two - and they won't want competition for Matt. Everywhere I'm seeing Matt and Saara, whether it be social media comments, bookies, VTs on Xtra Factor going to an Irish pub, each other's VTs in the main show - it is starting to centre around them two.
This is certainly crunch time as to whether Saara does have real support and momentum now, or she has just been benefiting from being the best of the disposable acts. Matt/5AM/Emily/Honey have always seemed to be the plan As in their respective categories ever since the beginning and have presumably been in the top 4 of the vote for the majority of the time. It's time to find out whether Saara has just been bubbling under, or whether she has tore that foursome apart.
If she gets through tomorrow on the public vote then I wouldn't rule out her getting a top 2 finish. If she ends up in the sing-off then I still think the producers would go for the biggest uproar in history and save Honey over Saara - this would be bigger than Rylan/Carolynne and Lucie/Jedward seeing as it is so late in the series.
Saara just has to make it through, she was by far the best yet again. I dont get the Emily love at all, i liked her Roxette cover and Radiohead but overall i find her very predictable.
Honey G has to go this week but i wouldnt bank on it.
Emily was appalling? Her performance of Toxic was same shit different week, and her vocals were totally drowned out when she performed Human..
Saara was clearly the best although I have a feeling she'll be in the bottom 2, along with Honey G.
What the producers should be considering is that if Saara somehow won after being in the bottom 2 in the very first week as well as two further times, that would be the ultimate feel-good story - not to mention her being Finnish in a post-Brexit Britain. This is the story 2016 needs, not Honey G faking a stage invasion!!!
I think the bottom 2 is going to be too difficult to predict..
------------
Matt didn't get as much praise as normal I don't think?
Honey will probably benefit from the re-bound, mannequin challenge and the 'attack', with the later 2 going viral on social atm.
Saara was incredible tonight, could save her from being bottom 2!
Emily has obviously sent Human flying up the charts but similarly to Matt, I didn't feel like she got as much praise tonight? I could be completely wrong though.
5AM seem to have got a lot of praise, I doubt they'll be in the bottom two.
Producers will think Saara is a bigger threat to Matt than Honey G.
If Saara goes, I am backing a Honey G victory,
I agree with everyone else here that Saara was incredible tonight, and easily stole the show. Even the second performance, for what it was, cheese 'n all, she nailed it. I thought 5AM were the second best but had a major unfair advantage due to having a backing track on the choruses, which nobody else had (possibly Emily on performance 2). Emily showed some personality in performance 2 but really she was the weakest (after Honey, who goes without saying). Her Toxic was so bland... Matt did a decent job but I feel as though he's beginning to coast somewhat.
I THINK she might be ok given the strength of her performances, but I really hope Saara can avoid the bottom 2 again. I voted for her 15 times.
Saara really has been incredible throughout and she is so deserving to win. I really think she could shock us all and actually WIN now which is amazing seeing as she was favourite to go in the first week of the lives.
I'm so over Honey now, she was funny to begin with but I think the lives have completely ruined her. There was potential to do something good with her but it just hasn't worked at all.
Emily is technically good but like Abi Alton, Diana Vickers and Janet Devlin I find her so f***ing annoying.
I guessed right the bottom 2 last weekend and this week I'm predicting Honey G x 5 After Midnight. I wonder if Simon will save Honey G again.
SAARA WAS f***ING INCREDIBLE THAT IS ALL <3 <3 <3
The Winner Takes It All is possibly the best performance of the whole series.
Across every device in the house I have logged 55 votes for R SAARA this weekend *.*
Even coming 4th (she won't go this week) would be brilliant for Saara! To think that week 1 we all loved her and didn't want to get too attached because she seemed like such an obvious first boot It's such a lovely journey to watch either way but she really really should win, she is completely in another league. Yes, Matt has a nice voice but Saara just has everything and she is just such a lovely woman too, you really root for her and want her to win.
There's something so perfect about her The Winner Takes It All performance, it was so controlled yet powerful and haunting, she is so effortlessly flawless <3
Having now watched all the performances, I actually liked Emily's version of Toxic a lot That's the sort of thing she feels better with, more at home. It wasn't brilliant but I think if she's gonna tweak songs, something twee like this is better than the John Lewis funeral versions she normally does.
Wasn't a fan of Matt's second song but his first was good. Not even to compare Alive with when Saara sang it, it just didn't have enough power or commitment to the song to make it blow up. 5am were of course dreadful and I feel like Honey G has had her time. Whilst I'd still prefer 5am to go obviously, I won't really be that mad at Honey G going. As iconic as the thought f her doing Black Beatles was it was so flat and lifeless, and then everything else was standard Honey G and I think we've seen enough of that now
Saara is down to 4/1 to win now, leap frogged 5am! This is too good to be true.
I'm gonna risk and say 5AM/Emily bottom 2
Bloody hell, just catching up and Saara's performance of The Winner Takes It All was spectacular, better than all of the guest performances this year, let alone all the contestant performances.
'The Winner Takes It All' was STUNNING. I really hope people remember that performance when voting and not the trashy cheesy rubbish that followed (if she's responsible for all of these campy performances, she needs telling.)
Honey G doing Black Beetle? Did she even know the words to it? The visuals looked amazing, but dear me she muttered about 6 words!
To echo practically everyone else, Saara's 'The Winner Takes It All' was practically perfect. What a stunning vocal. Best performance by an absolute mile and it would be an utter travesty if she went tonight.
The turnaround for Saara has been incredible and I'm really hoping she has enough momentum to take her to the final now. There's a gulf between her and the others in terms of talent level, it's almost comical.
The thing with Saara is, I think to the general public, people realise that she is actually very good. I think it's refreshing to have someone with a great voice, who you can actually imagine being a popstar (e.g. not Sam Bailey). Normally a lot of X Factor success rides on there being fanbases, but I really like it when acts grow in the competition and people realise how good/different they are. Bit like James Arthur in 2012.
Honey G is defo going tonight:(
I hope Emily is in the bottom two with Honey G so that way, they will have to get rid of Honey G
Yeah, if I'd have said in week 1 that Saara was my favourite (she wasn't, I'm speaking hypothetically), both my mum & dad would probably have been a bit non plussed or looked at me gone out. My mum voted for her for the first time last week and my dad actually teared up at her 'The Winner Takes It All' performance last night and said she was in a league of her own. She's really captured the all important 'family' audience now.
It's difficult to see anyone other than Honey G leaving tonight, her live show performances were probably her worst to date and felt a bit stale. Maison D'and has thrown it's weight behind Saara now instead as she was amazing last night.
If I go by my theory that bottom 2 will be those whose odds are shortening most in the hours leading up to the results rather than the 2 with the actual shortest odds, it's looking like Honey and 5AM with an outside chance of Matt - Emily looks fairly safe using this methodology!
It's probably time Honey G went, though I'd really like if 5AM got eliminated instead
I feel like tonight will be the death of the joke acts. Ed going on Strictly and Honey on X Factor.
Sad
I'm fully expecting Honey G will go this week. I originally thought probably Saara in the bottom two but she pulled it out the bag last night so I reckon against 5am in the sing off.
I think it'll be the comeuppance of Honey G - but I'd rather it was any of Emily/Matt/5am going.
Everything crossed for Honey G & Saara both NOT in the bottom 3, that way one of 5AM or Emily will definitely be going.
Not gonna happen tho.
Fingers, toes and .... crossed for Honey G to bugger off.
I really don't think Emily is in any real danger at all, Honey seems like a cert for bottom 2 but if it isn't Saara with her I can only see it being 5AM
I'm going for Honey G vs. 5 After Midnight
SEAN PAUL IS GOING TO PERFORM HIS PART IN ROCKABYE OMG *.* so hyped.
Pretty sure it'll be Honey G going.
Love that this whole thing seems to have SAARA as the central act
God this is awful, I don't think Honey G sang a note in that, with all the shouting.
1% between 3rd and 4th
Tbh it could be that close, there's only really Matt completely safe
Well this is as lifeless as an Emily vocal
Well it's no Crashed The Wedding is it.
lol Honey G is better vocally than this
Well this is all very SIXTH FORM.
Oh dear....
That's surely the absolute NADIR of guest performances, maybe ever?
It felt they were attempting Daft Funk (ish) in places
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaas
I r cry (internally)
YAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
Yes Saara!
Yasssssss!!!!!!!! <3
YES MATT!!
Saara has done unbelievably well considering she was constantly bottom two early in the series.
Byeeee Honey
Yes for Emily
Ugh as if she's gonna be sent home over to them of all contestants
Pity Emily escaped but as long as Saara got through no matter.
The joke act is over... well... hopefully
Saara being in the top 4 is bringing me life.
Absolutely delighted for Saara! A turnaround and then some
Hopefully the judges are sensible for once and it's goodbye Honey G
I'm so so made up for Saara, I feel really invested in her now in a way that I didn't expect at all.
I think Sara would have topped the vote, she was amazing
God I DETEST Sean Paul more than I can put into words
I'm nowhere near as invested in XF as I used to be but I can't help being happy for Saara she seems so lovely and I really think she can win. I think she makes the final for sure. All about the song choice. They could try and derail her like they do however..
Loved that!
Sean ACTUAL Paul on the X Factor *_* what a performance
*DAILY STRUGGLE*
*.*
Saara starting to dominate the special guest shoutouts rather than 5AM and Matt *.*
Clean Bandit feat Saara Aalto please make that happen
I think I know Sean Paul's words in Rockabye more than he does
Clean Bandit really earned that slot given what they did for the prospects of the show's reigning champ.
(Also, obligatory YASSS SAARA <3)
This is totally a send off for Honey, but sadly the joke has well and truly run aground
God this is awful... bye bye one trick pony
This is even more awful than normal
What a way to go out tho!
No 'When I say Save, you say Me' this week
What a final performance for Honey G! Loved it!
Do the acts deliberately become awful when Honey G is in the sing-off?
EAR RAPE!!!!
Vocally assisted as per, but such an obvious outcome
As much as I'd love Saara to win, I'm 99% sure she'll come second (which may - or may not - be based purely on the fact that she comes 2nd in every contest she enters).
My predix (comparable post X Factor success levels in brackets):
1) Matt Terry (Joe McElderry)
2) Saara Aalto (Amelia Lily)
3) 5 After Midnight (either JLS (sustained boyband trajectory) or Cher Lloyd (a couple of big hits then fade))
4) Emily Middlemas (Shayne Ward)
5) Honey G (Jedward)
Oh dear god at these individual vocals at the start there.
I'd probably let Honey stay.
What has happened here, the track feels so limp, and did he missed his cue right at the beginning.
Can't we just send them both home and have the final next week?
HONEY G TO STAY!!!
(won't happen but still)
yes!!!!!!!!!!
Finally!
Damn Much preferred Honey to 5am!!
Ed Balls and Honey G out in the same week. No fun left in the UK.
That performance really exemplified how the middle guy with a six-letter-name-ending-in-N has been carrying the other two six-letter-name-ending-in-N guys all series.
Mildly relieved Honey's finally gone.
Well that was a drawn out process for such an obvious decision. She really had run her course and then some.
On the brightside they're not untouchable now, a Matt & Saara final 2 would still be a good outcome for series.
Theme for next week: Xmas
Lady Gaga and Zara Larsson
Some decent guests for next week, at least ones that'll please the Buzzjack masses.
Yaaassss at Gaga and Zara
Christmas? That's a joke right?
GAGA AND ZARA YASSS SOMFKDKSNBS
Lady Gaga next week? Wonder what song she'll leave absolutely no impression on the UK with?
I actually reckon they stuck Christmas as next week theme because of all the people that screamed 'fix' when Fright Night was selected for Halloween weekend.
Lady Gaga in 2016 seems about right for latter day x factor
I'm glad Honey G has gone but my goodness, 5AM cannot sing a note can they?
Great guests for next week
Actually looking forward to Zara more than GaGa lol
Gaga and Zara
Thank GOD Honey G's gone! The joke got funny a couple of months ago lol so really no loss.
Great guests next week, actually more excited for Zara than Gaga though
Yessss at Zara!!!!
Honey G gone though
Delighted for Zara making to the semi final, i really hope she can make the final now.
For Christmas week I imagine Saara will be paired with Mariah, but Saara actually has released a Christmas album! *.* And therefore this exists:
If theme two is "song to get you to the final" then I'd like a reprise of Chandelier from her audition or FINALLY Wuthering Heights, but that would mean her other song would be the big production number so it would indicate Mariah.
I would like Saara to do 'Alive' again tbh.
I'm backing Saara now that Honey has gone
'Million Reasons' shot into the iTunes top 20 just after her Carpool Karaoke performance so hopefully this benefits her massively
Grr Clean Bandit's performance is not yet on You Tube.
Poor Honey G. Well, I knew she would leave the competition last night but still...
Matt will win and Saara will be the runner-up. So easy to predict the final results now.
Christmas isn't that much of a stretch guys, in fact, the first week of December is one of the biggest weeks for Christmas songs/festivities, so I'm not surprised they stuck it on this week, especially given it helps it not seem like a fix.
I felt somewhat confident for Saara this week but I am ecstatic for her. She seems to be growing with popularity week-on-week while some of the others lose their buzz. I don't think I've ever seen such a turnaround on the UK X Factor before. I feel fairly confident that she will make it through next week, so long as she keeps up the same level of amazingness. And now, although she's more likely to come second, I'm starting to come to the realisation that Saara has a chance...of winning
Hillary also had a chance at beating Trumpzilla
Poor Honey G No point in watching now.
I saw a turn around like this before with the frontrunnerz losing their buzz after seeming invincible: 2008 and Alex.
Also Little Mix! It wasn't until about week 7 (? - When was movie week?) that they were thought to be contenders, and apart from that week, I don't think they topped any of the votes!

Ok, so they did top the votes. But not until the last 2 weeks or so! Saara seems to be having a similar trajectory! 'It's Oh So Quiet' being to her what 'E.T.' was to Little Mix and then we have 'The Winner Takes It All' hopefully being the 'Don't Let Go (Love)' of her performances.
Those that are in doubt to whether the "rebound vote" exists or not, just need to look at these statistics!
Also Little Mix were the last favourites to win in week 2!
I have been intrigued by the rebound vote this series as only Saara and Ryan have actually been safe the week after being in the bottom 2/3, everyone else has had consecutive bottom 2/3 appearances or were out on their first appearance. Now whether the rebound vote has been negated due to the convoluted bottom 2/3 scenario in the first five weeks I'm not sure. But even then, only Saara has been safe after a bottom 2 in the second half of the series too. In previous series it was almost a given that being in the sing-off one week means they are safe next week, this series doesn't seem to be following that pattern at all. I would usually assume 5AM would "bounce" themselves to the final at this stage thanks to a rebound vote, but in this series I'm very much doubting it.
Maybe the rise of app voting has meant that seen voting habits change. When it was phone voting, "normal" people would only vote once or twice for their favourite and the floating voters would perhaps vote once for the act that needs their vote most, hence the rebound vote. Now with app votes, we are looking at 5 or 10 votes for their favourite so maybe that negates the impact of the floating voters spreading votes around. I'm not sure, but last series - not the best comparison due to the shorter length - only Ché and Mason managed to get a rebound save whereas Kiera, Anton, Lauren and Ché (second time round) didn't. So I think app voting has reduced the impact of rebound votes. Compare that to the Little Mix series above, absolutely EVERYONE got a rebound vote except for Kitty (second time round) and Misha (third time round).
Therefore without an exceptional performance, I'm not sure I see 5AM rebounding into the top 2 next week. It's a very interesting scenario though! It's also worth noting that when Saara and Ryan did break their runs of sing-offs it was with performances that are considered to be their personal bests by many - Its Oh So Quiet and Enough Is Enough for Saara and Twist and Shout for Ryan. I think app voting is also rewarding good performances. Whereas people would phone up for their favourite every week, now they get 5 votes to spread around they potentially throw one or two to exceedingly good performances alongside their actual favourite.
This is what I think has benefited Saara. Her core support was obviously limited and two bottom 3s at the beginning proved that. But over the weeks her performances have been increasingly outstanding and I imagine people have been throwing her the odd vote or two for being the best performance on the night despite not being their actual favourite. Now as their favourites are leaving, I bet Saara is picking up a lot of these voters. Yet, this is why her vote is also the most volatile. As soon as she gives a slightly underwhelming performance - Sound of the Underground - these "odd one or two" votes quickly switch to someone else (oh look, this was the week Ryan survived, so maybe he took Saara's underdog votes/rebound votes).
Saara still doesn't have the core support of a Matt or an Emily and bad production next week will easily see her back in the bottom two. Another set of outstanding performances however will see her continue to pick up the floating votes, and while Matt and Emily may stay stable in the vote with their core support bases if they give similarly safe performances again - this is how Saara could strike ahead. If the producers don't believe Matt can have a true "moment" of his own, this is why Saara could be sabotaged next week and her vote can easily be taken down. But if the producers fancy running with Saara now - was her random pimp slot on Saturday a last minute change after performing second in round 1? why are all the special guests suddenly shouting her out? - then I do believe she could finish in second place. Who knows, Saara has the potential to absolutely smash a potential winner's single performance and could make Matt worry for a second.
Ooh this was quite a ramble but the morale of the story is that I believe Saara can still easily be sabotaged if the producers wish, but there are signs producers are getting on board with her now and she should be able to achieve the votes she needs to finish second with Emily and 5AM not picking up enough floating votes to add to their core supports. Matt does have enough core support without needing the floating votes, but will producers want to risk putting Saara up against him in a straight fight with presumably the same winner's single? It's definitely the most intriguing scenario we've had since the James Arthur series, although all the intrigue could be lost with Saara being saddled and sabotaged with Fairytale of New York on Saturday.
