Oh gosh I almost completely forgot it was the chart today until I saw this thread pop up! Still very much not used to it yet.

I seem to remember 'Lovers On the Sun' being quite bashed on here but it was much better for me than what had been released that era thus far (then 'Dangerous' was even better *.*) Elsewhere 'My Head is a Jungle' is utterly lush. <3

Biography
Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band that originated in Los Angeles, California. Before the group was formed the original four members of then 1994 band were known as Kara's Flowers while its members were still in high school and originally consisted of Adam Levine (lead vocals, guitar), Jesse Carmichael (guitar, backing vocals) Mickey Madden (bass guitar) and Ryan Dusick (drums). The band, which self-released an album called We Like Digging?, was named after a girl the group had a crush on. They signed to Reprise Records and released an album, The Fourth World, in 1997. After a tepid response to the album, the band parted ways with the record label and the members attended college.

In 2001, the band changed their image by adding guitarist James Valentine and pursuing a new direction under the name Maroon 5. At this point, Carmichael switched to playing keyboards, which has since become his main instrument in the band. After these changes, Maroon 5 signed with Octone Records and released their debut album, Songs About Jane, in June 2002. The album's lead single, "Harder to Breathe", received heavy airplay, which helped the album to debut at number six on the Billboard 200 chart. The band won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2005. For the next few years, they toured extensively worldwide in support of Songs About Jane and produced two live recordings: 2004's 1.22.03.Acoustic and 2005's Live – Friday the 13th. In 2006, Dusick officially left Maroon 5 after suffering from serious wrist and shoulder injuries and was replaced by Matt Flynn. The band then recorded their second album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long and released it in May 2007. The album reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart and the lead single, "Makes Me Wonder", became the band's first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100.

In September 2010, Maroon 5 released their third studio album Hands All Over, which was re-released in 2011 to include the single "Moves like Jagger". While the original version of the album received mixed reviews, "Moves like Jagger" reached the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100. The band released their fourth album, Overexposed, on June 26, 2012. All four singles of the album were highly successful on the Billboard Hot 100, including second single "One More Night", which reached number one. In 2014, the band signed with Interscope Records and released their fifth studio album, V, with the very-first line-up of six official band members, as keyboardist and backing vocalist PJ Morton became an official member in 2012. The same year, a longtime friend of the band and bass player of Phantom Planet, Sam Farrar, became an official touring member, performing the keyboards with Carmichael and Morton. Fifth Harmony is an American girl group formed on the second season of the X Factor USA. The group consists of members Ally Brooke Hernandez, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen, Camila Cabello, and Lauren Jauregui. Joe Stone can be seen as the newest entry onto the deep/future house scene, as his debut single 'The Party (This Is How We Do It)' is truly making waves among the DJ community. But while the name is new to the scene, the background of this DJ/productional act already speaks volumes, ranging from classical music training to producing timeless house tunes and remixes for some of the biggest names out there.

Joe Stone is the alter ego of Dutch DJ Maurice Oude Booyink, who's been working as a DJ/producer for years. He starts his musical career at an early age, playing keys at the age of seven, and it doesn't take him long to create new, original melodies. Growing up on a diet of funk and soul music, he masters these styles in his first band at the age of sixteen, followed by producing his first dance records.

While playing in bands, Maurice releases solo material under his Inmado guise as well as doing productional work for other artists (R3hab, Sharon Doorson a.o.). When he wins a Spinnin' Records DJ Contest with his version of DVBBS' single 'Pyramids', it immediately draws attention from the world famous label.

When working on new music, Joe Stone gets joined by Mark Simmons, who's built quite a name for himself already, being one of the producers behind Rockefeller (scoring big with 'Do It 2 Nite' in 2005) and the Beatfreakz project, reaching high in 2006 with their singles 'Somebody's Watching Me' (#3 in the UK Singles Chart) and, that same year, 'Superfreak' (#7 in the UK Singles Chart).

Cleverly using dance music blogs as the platform to launch his career, Tim Berg, aka Avicii, has since become one of the most prominent producers on the burgeoning Swedish house scene. Born in Stockholm in 1989, Berg only started making music at the age of 18, writing and remixing tracks in his bedroom and then leaking them onto various blogs. Influenced by Daft Punk and Steve Angello, his melodic house sound gained a huge following, and led to support from Tiësto, who invited him to perform a weekly residency at Privilege in Ibiza, and Pete Tong, who released first single "Manman" through his Bedroom Bedlam label. After he remixed tracks for Little Boots, Robyn, and Dizzee Rascal, Berg's first mainstream release, the Ministry of Sound instrumental "Seek Bromance," became a huge hit across Europe and later in the U.K., thanks to a vocal version featuring Amanda Wilson. Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu (born 7 November 1988), better known by his stage name Tinie Tempah, is an English rap artist from south London, England. He is signed to Parlophone Records, a subsidary of Warner Music Group since 2009. He created his own record and fashion label Disturbing London (DL Records), in 2007 along with his cousin, Dumi Oburota.

After releasing a couple of mixtapes, he released his long awaited debut album, Disc-Overy, in October 2010. Walk the Moon (often stylized as WALK THE MOON) is an American Indie rock band based in Cincinnati, Ohio. It's had more availability in supermarkets and a £5-£6 price tag in most shops this week. I guess previously there were only a few copies floating about for a tenner in HMV, hence its sales the week it re-entered at 14 being mostly digital, and now they're mostly physical.

Adam Richard Wiles (born 17 January 1984), better known by his stage name Calvin Harris, is a Scottish singer-songwriter, record producer and DJ. He owns the vanity label Fly Eye Records.
