A very interesting song to become a huge hit, it doesn't really have a big hook or anything but it's still rather catchy.

Okay the normal version doesn't go anywhere. Not on tik tok so couldn't see why it was popular but the sped up version which is now on Spotify goes off absolute tune sped up. Can't stand the normal version however, one of the only times sped up has worked well for a song!

I honestly can’t understand how anyone could have such extreme views on them to love one but hate the other. It’s literally the same song to me as it’s not even a different arrangement or production is it?


Although I’m fine with it if it means more people are listening and it stands a better chance of reaching #1 biggrin.gif

Would usually agree with you however for some reason the sped up version of this song just works wonders, completes the song and can now see why it's popular.

I've been trying to think what song the instrumental parts in the verses reminds me of and it's Linkin Park's Faint.

Really growing on me this week, totally here for it climbing to #1 post (or even pre-) Xmas!

Yeah think it will follow a similar fate to Abcdefu, Own It, Sweet Melody and Sweet But Psycho.

Only way it won't is if someone major releases the first week of January but that hasn't happened in recent years, maybe since Ed with Shape Of You iirc.

'Escapism' is a very good song, definitely some Raleigh Ritchie - Stronger Than Ever influence in it I think melodically, can anyone else detect this!

I think 'Lose You' is their next single and it probably makes sense for them to save the Ed one for later in the campaign to try and give it some longevity.

but that speed up version is terrible, Raye sounds weird, her vocals sound too distorted
give the normal version everyday no matter what the tiktok generation likes
