First up is a 2013 hit from Disclosure, featuring AlunaGeorge. An electronic track with garage and deep house influences, this became both acts' highest peaking single, peaking at #2 and going platinum! A lot of you remember this absolute banger's distinctive bassline *.*

Great start *.*

I was so close to putting that one as the most guessed song for the relevant bonus question but changed it, so the one I did put to have a full house please laugh.gif

Put that as the full house as gathered everyone who entered would have at least listened to the first song & some might have given up half way laugh.gif

White Noise is amazing, the second Disclosure song I heard (after Confess To Me) and it really is great! Didn't realise it got that high up in the charts though ohmy.gif

02 Childish Gambino - RedBone

UK chart peak: #51 (Gold)
Correct: Dan, vibe, Dircadirca, TS031, Dalekturret, Dexton, Zarate, chrissmith276, CianS, LewisGT, Jade, Rush, Riser

Incorrect: Bjork (Imagine Dragons)
Dobbo (Backstreet Boys - Backstreet’s Back)
Kasabian (PeteFromLeeds)

Next up is a low peaking but fairly high selling track from Childish Gambino, who had somewhat of a sleeper hit in 2017 due to its exposure as a meme in which it was remixed various ways such as being sung by Kermit the frog, being heard from the bathroom in a party and being replaced with bits of All Star by Smash Mouth *_* This is such a fab song, showing a totally different side to him than his rap focused previous albums, with a psychedelic soul sound that harks back to the 70s and legends such as Prince, it has such a timeless classic feel as does the whole album wub.gif

Can never remember how that song goes but damn at the double whammy of that probably being the lowest peaker as well.

Yeah don't think I've ever heard Redbone in full! It wasn't something that was in the Top 40 or popular with my European chart friends at the time.

I got 21 of these on first listen and 'Redbone' was one of the 4 I wasn't sure of! Thankfully the memes came flooding back on second listen and I remembered that you stanned Childish Gambino, was so happy when I double-checked and realised it was right laugh.gif

03 Pendulum - Propane Nightmares

UK chart peak: #9 (Silver)
Correct: Dan, Dircadirca, TS031, Mack, Yorkie3, Theo., Dalekturret, Bjork, HarryEzra, Dexton, Chez Wombat, Zarate, Dobbo, chrissmith276, CianS, LewisGT, Jade, Rush, Ultraviolence, Riser, PeteFromLeeds, Bré

Half: Gavindeejay (Pendulum - Granite)

Actually very surprised at how many people got this ohmy.gif An electronic rock leaning drum and bass track, Propane Nightmares was released in 2008 and was their biggest hit until Watercolour outdid it in 2010. The bit I chose was quite distinctive as it's the most "banging" bit for want of a better word, when the whole track hits you and it's SUCH a moment *.*

The clip you chose for that song is indeed pretty banging *.* great inclusion, I was recently reminded of 'Propane Nightmares' at one of those Now plug.dj sessions and it still sounds phenomenal wub.gif

Surprised at how many people got this! I don't think I've heard this in about 5 years, had to reach into the archives of my memory for that one wink.gif

04 Beyonce - Halo

UK chart peak: #4 (2x Platinum)
Correct: Dan,vibe, Dircadirca, TS031, Mack, Yorkie3, Theo., Dalekturret, Bjork, HarryEzra, Dexton, Chez Wombat, Zarate, Dobbo, chrissmith276, CianS, LewisGT, Jade, Rush, 777666jason, Ultraviolence, Riser, PeteFromLeeds, gavindeejay, Bré, Sarah

Of course queen B gets a fab turnout of guesses with one of her biggest and most recognisable hits! An angelic sounding song with soul and gospel influences, that thumping slow beat is so recognisable so it was always going to be one of the easiest to get of this bunch. It packs an emotional punch that a lot of Beyonce songs don't and rightfully sold a lot and peaked high - but did it sell more than any other song in this? ohmy.gif

Oh crap, I thought #2 sounded a bit like 'Redbone' but I thought that would have been wrong for some reason so I didn't put it down... laugh.gif (should have trusted that instinct given that it's you hosting lmao). It's ok tho, I'm sure that 1 extra point wouldn't have made a difference x

I was just listening to 'Propane Nightmares' yesterday to celebrate it qualifying in ROTD lmao so that was good timing. Would have got it anyway tho. What a classique <3

I am not keen on the 'Sasha Fierce' era on the whole but 'Halo' and 'Sweet Dreams' are its saving graces, so a good choice from that period.
