Nu kör vi!! Hey guys, and welcome to the 4th and final heat of this year's Buzzfestivalen, your chance to show Sweden how badly they got it wrong (and let's be honest, they basically always do) by saving all the (mainly female) contestants that Sweden unjustly cast aside. With that in mind, let's meet this week's acts:

01. Emmi Christensson - Icarus

Well this was pleasant surprise - rumours had been flying around that this was quite a 'filler' entry but in the end it turned out rather different. That drama, that build up, those vocals! So will Emmi be able to fly all the way to the final here or will it turn out that Buzzjack's heart is as cold towards this as the Melfest App was?

02. Elias Abbas - Mitt Paradis

Well he's just a kid so I'm not gonna be too harsh on him, but this was a bit of a mess. Sweden normally laps this kind of thing up though, so it was a surprise to see this crash out in 5th in the real thing. Will Buzzjack be more forgiving?

03. Felicia Olsson - Break That Chain

Poor Felicia here was trying to replicate Mimi Werner by going one better than her previous Melfest attempt and reaching AC. Sadly she ended up following Krista Siegfrids's path instead, being swallowed up by the other entries and finishing up dead last. The song is fairly decent however, so I feel like she may avoid the same fate here.

04. Rolandz - Fuldans

I will judge anyone who gives points to this.

05. Olivia Eliasson - Never Learn

A nice, if somewhat forgettable piece of Spotify pop here. For me, the shock of the night was seeing this qualify over Elias, despite a slightly nervous performance on the night. This has the potential to be a dark horse qualifier from AC in Melfest, but can it go one better in Buzzfest and go DTF?

06. Felix Sandman - Every Single Day

Despite ditching the rest of his bandmates from The Fooo Conspiracy / The FOO / FO&O, Felix failed to improve on their result from last year and has found himself once again slumming it through AC. I'm a bit surprised by how positive the reaction towards this has been from certain corners of the Eurofandom, does that suggest that Buzzjack will be even more generous towards this than the Swedish public?

07. Mariette - For You

And last but most definitely not least we come to Mariette. Jessica Andersson's stunning DTF from Heat 3 had somewhat placated the fans, but the rest of the final was still looking rather bleak (and male) so there was a lot of expectation riding on Mariette, even before anyone had heard her song. After an agonising wait over the week everyone breathed a huge sigh of relief as it turned out the song was ACTUALLY GOOD! Once again she delivered on stage and single handedly managed to increase the number of women in the final by 100% #queen. Opinions are divided as to whether this quite has the legs to go all the way in the final, but I imagine it stands a very good shot in Buzzfest, and possibly in the real event too.

Bump! We've had 7 votes so far which is pretty good but I think we can get a few more. Things are pretty close at the moment and there are still 6 songs in with a very good chance of qualifying (no prizes for guessing the exception...), so any new votes could prove decisive.

Well I appear to have jinxed myself: I'm currently in Dublin and all today's flights have been cancelled along with some tomorrow because of Storm Emma! Got my fingers crossed that things are kind of back to normal by Sunday. If not, these results might have to be delayed until I get home!

Buzzjack, stop voting now! Thank you so much to everyone who took part in this heat, we've ended up with a very healthy 11 sets of votes. I've been adding up the scores as they've been coming in but seeing how close these results have turned out I'm going to send everything through Excel just to be sure the result is right ohmy.gif #hype etc.

Results starting from 6pm UK time.

(p.s. if anyone wants to send in late votes I will probably count them tbh - yay for democracy and all that jazz)

Buzzjack, vi har ett resultat!!

7th: Rolandz - Fuldans (16 points)

Rolandz take their rightful place at the bottom of this Deltävling. One voter gave this a 12. I'm sure we can all work out who that was.

6th: Felicia Olsson - Break That Chain (52 points)

Poor Felicia. I was right to think that she would do better here than in the real thing, albeit only just. I think the main problem with this song is best exemplified by the fact that it was the only one that did not top anyone's ranking. Sometimes being a bit middle of the road can help songs scrape into AC, however there was too much competition here for Felicia to manage that.

So that means our top 5 for this Deltävling is:

Emmi Christensson - Icarus
Elias Abbas - Mitt Paradis
Olivia Eliasson - Never Learn
Felix Sandman - Every Single Day
Mariette - For You

Next up, the first song to go DTF...

DTF: Mariette - For You

To the surprise of absolutely no one Saviour-of-Melfest™ Mariette eases through to this year's final. I've been listening to this a load over the past week but this is still sounding fresh to me (and that production is just so good!) Mariette's Melfest odds have sadly been dropping in the past few days, but with the overwhelmingly positive reaction on here she's surely still very much in the running for the Buzzfest crown.

And now for our two AC qualifiers. Things got very tight at the bottom end here, with our 4th place finisher being a mere 2 points ahead of 5th place....

AC: Emmi Christensson - Icarus

Yesss! This is Buzzfest at its best, showing Sweden how it should have been done! I find this song so joyous and uplifting and I'm glad that a lot of you on here agree with me. It would have been amazing to see this progress further in the real thing, but at least here it still has a chance to make it all the way.

Joining Emmi is:

AC: Felix Sandman - Every Single Day

Mirroring the Melfest result, Felix finds himself once again in AC. Before Buzzfest voting started this was my dark horse to go DTF but it turns out that although some people really love this, a number of other people are much less keen! Personally I'm somewhere in the middle - I actually quite enjoy the stage performance but the song itself doesn't really do much for me.

So that leaves us with a DTF OR BUST between Elias and Olivia! It was very close at the top for much of the voting and I can confirm that both these songs were in the top 2 at some point of the voting, and equally both were in the dreaded 5th place at some point. But who will be the one to ultimately qualify for the Buzzfest final and who will fall at the final hurdle?

Oh! Can't call that, I thought one of those two in AC would have been the other DTF.

I'll be amazed if Elias is DTF, Olivia is basic Buzzjack fodder.

Yeah it's got to be Olivia surely, Mitt paradis is better than I expected it would be but DTF worthy it is not.

You're both correct! At one point it did genuinely look like Elias would get that DTF spot but he faded quite badly in the second half of the voting and ended up slipping out of AC by just 2 points. So another 5th place for Elias it is!

And that of course means:

DTF: Olivia Eliasson - Never Learn

While Sweden banished Olivia to AC to eventually lose out in a duel with the (imo) superior Renaida, we here at Buzzjack saw fit to reward this nice if slightly basic piece of Spotify approved pop with a place in our final.

Well that's it folks, I've had a great time hosting the 4th and final Deltävling of Buzzfestivalen 2018 and now it's time to pass you onto our next host for Andra Chansen, and I for one am very excited to find out this year's duels! Thank you so much to everyone for all your votes and comments, you've all been great! Tack så mycket!
