I actually think Seasons 10-16 are brilliant too. Some of my favourite episodes are in Season 13! For me it lost the appeal after the movie was made.

There are problems with Apu but largely because he’s voiced by a white man. I don’t think I would consider the problems if he was voiced by an Indian man as the show is rooted deep in stereotypes - look at Chief Wiggum, a fat, lazy policeman who just eats donuts.
As has been said ‘millennials’ are THE MAIN AUDIENCE FOR THE SHOW. They were the ones who grew up with it. Plus, it is spelt ‘racist’. The Simpsons should never have started tbh. Banned. (also I too think there’s lots of good episodes after Season 10. It should definitely have ended years ago though!) |

They know where the remote is. Watch the It Was Alright In The...... series to see clips which wouldn't be allowed to air today!
Which other episodes come into question from The Simpsons from earlier seasons? |

when do we reckon The Simpsons will end then if ever? surprised it's still going when it peaked in the mid 90s and supposedly 'got shit' over 10 years ago.
wonder if they're just stringing it out for the 30 year anniversary and then leaving it be after that? (though a TV and/or film special(s) down the line seems likely to capitalise on 'omg it's back' hype) |

I've learnt something new today honestly didn't know the actor who played Apu was white. |

It's ratings are still pretty solid for what they are, so I can't see an end to it anytime soon! Just like Spongebob Squarepants (well it came first I guess x)
The Simpsons should never have started tbh. I mean each to their own and all, but is there really not a SINGLE episode that has appealed at all? I mean it's hard to find a show more accessible. |

omg no get your threads out my forum I didn't realise anyone could 'own' a forum. Actually this does need addressing? Just who are you trying to take the piss out of Vidcapper? Since you ask, it is the apparent hypersensitivity of some people that amuses me. It is not a helpful trait once you leave the relatively protected confines of school/college/university, though. How many bosses would be prepared to employ someone who has trouble dealing with the often unpleasant realities of the working world? e.g. phone conversations with stroppy/abusive customers. |

I mean it's hard to find a show more accessible. I genuinely think I've had probs 2 actual LOL moments from the various episodes I've seen. Both old and "newer" ones. Always found it ridiculously overrated, personally. |
