The last time a horse won consecutive Grand Nationals was in 1974 so it'd still be a bit of a punt imo. I'll do my usual pick a random name at semi-decent odds about half hour before the race as per.

I generally seem to be there or thereabouts in the National with at least 1 pick out of 5-6. Problem is with such a big field all it takes is for one horse to make a mistake and for the best horse on paper to be hampered. I tend to look for horses that are very likely to have done the distance before, usually works a treat.

It doesn't matter how good Tiger Roll is, like dobbo says it's a ridiculously short price, absolutely no way I am even tempted by that price.

The good thing though is if there is a red hot favourite, it usually means other prices are underpriced.. just got to find them now!
