Ella Hooper's song Data Dust is out too, pretty good 90s throwback rock but not *too* dated. Not a favourite though, it's not as good as To Myself for me and certainly not as good as Zero Gravity.

The song is enough of a bop I guess but it just isn't good enough, especially compared to Zero Gravity (and I'm sure Sheppard's).

Sheppard has leaked. It is pretty catchy and anthemic, already growing over three or four listens, but Kate is my number one choice. "Zero Gravity" is just different and I'd be very intrigued to see how it would perform in Israel.

Ooh this is great, very Sheppard and would definitely do well, it's instantly really anthemic and I found myself singing along by the end which is always great in a song.
Kate is my winner too still, I'd be very happy with either but it'd be incredible to see Australia send something leftfield that you'd only really get from Kate and only see at Eurovision, as all their entries have been contemporary pop songs. |

I love it, of course. It's probably better than anything on their second album, and near the standard of their incredible debut.
I'd certainly not begrudge Kate going though, an incredible song and I'm sure her performance would be quite something. Would be disappointed at anything other than these two based on these both being 10/10 songs, and the others...not being. |

My ranking
01 Kate Miller-Heidke - Zero Gravity As I've said, you'd only get this from Kate and you'd only get it at Eurovision so it'd be epic. A risk as an entry, but it would be truly unique and stand out and you can't go wrong with that tbh. This top 2 is pretty much equal, I'd be more than happy with either but it's a case of a spectacle and something nobody else will ever do, or a safe but brilliant hit. 02 Sheppard - On My Way Australia could really be onto a hit sending this, love it as I said! 03 Alfie Arcuri - To Myself Safe as anything, but I like it a fair bit. His voice is great and the song has enough to it so it's not the usual Voice winner fodder that many countries seem to send. 04 Courtney Act - Fight For Love Diet bop, but if it wasn't Courtney I probably wouldn't give it much time As great as what she stands for is, and as fab as it'd be for her to have a platform to 200 million people, the song just isn't good enough. 05 Ella Hooper - Data Dust Pretty much what you expect from a 90s rocker in 2019, not bad! 06 Electric Feels - 2000 And Whatever - I'm kinda torn, I love the chorus but the verses give me vibes of the one good song in a Lithuania NF semi 07 Aydan - Dust - listenable enough, but it feels like a #23 peaking Zayn single. 08 Leela Nanos - Set Me Free - very bottom of New Music Friday, you'd listen once and not really bother again, but it's not offensive or anything. 09 Mark Vincent - This Is Not The End - just really not for me, but a great voice and I've got a horrible feeling he could pull an upset if it's not Sheppard/Kate, Sheppard storming will probably happen though. obviously we haven't heard Tania Doko yet which I didn't realise until I typed all the rest out. |

Oh I am loving the new Sheppard song. I am rooting for that and I think it would do pretty well at Eurovision. Zero Gravity is growing on me though.
Sheppard is already #12 on Australian iTunes, think it could do quite well in Europe too. Does anyone know how the format will work on this? Is it just the song with the most votes wins? |

Is this honestly the same country that sent Dami? Have they completely given up?
Yeah, Sheppard's entry is the best by a mile. Courtney is a very distant second. I must be missing something because Zero Gravity has no appeal to me. |

I haven't listened to the rest and I'm not convinced it'd do well at Eurovision, but this is one of the best things I've heard from Courtney, really liking it!

The Shepard song sounds like it could’ve come out of a Danish NF. I stopped listening after a minute. If Oz decide to send that over something as stratospheric as and unique as Zer Gravity, well....
