oh I love being first, let's start off the semis with my gorgeous guitar riff

DAOKO again is interesting, I've really liked songs I've heard from them before.

Kingdom of Horanius sending the most underrated Dutch hit at the moment. cheeseblock.png Bring it on! Can't believe "eight" doesn't get vetoed, but "Amsterdam" does. It was a huge Asian hit 2 years ago. ohmy.gif

While on Semi 1, giving my hype on Land of DW with Jason Ross' new album track. The entry they send isn't my personal top 3, but still a pleasant one. Also Summericia, I have a few Darren Porter releases on my playlist, but not this one. Can't wait to give it a listen!

I could recognise a couple here. Cumulonimbia BIG HYPE already, sending my number one song a few weeks ago! It's a hit and y'all DARE NOT TO rob this! Please win!! Everyone is sending Amanda Tenfjord's weaker song (imo) lol. I think Plans is far more superior than All In. tongue.gif I think I heard Florina's entry before. Kyriatine's too, though not a fan of the song sadly sad.gif Great choice from TARO Bellamia. Hoping this time Gia Woods can qualify while I've heard Altyr's entry too. Like Elëdan's entry too but would be even more ICONIC to send MAMI for the obvious reasons. wink.gif

Here are my guesses which none of them are true lol:

Hushkanukia: Ulrikke - Young

I thought Hushkanukia would latch onto this fantastic ballad. ohmy.gif Ulrikke has since released a couple more new singles too so I'd not be surprised if they go for any one of them!

Pestolia: Max Barsikh
I thought I have this in the bag, especially when they were sent exactly 3 times before!! I'm seething lmao laugh.gif

République d'Áskorza: Rūta Ķergalve - Vārdi

This is more of an "if they send Latvian folk", but this would've fit perfectly to the hint. I think it was sent in a couple of other song contests, doing somewhat reasonably well too.

Skall: Fuel Fandango ft. Amadou, Mariam - Ruido

The hint being "Malian song" immediately brings me to this song, which won in a contest that I was in. Quite a banger and I think this would do reasonably well. I heard -M- before so I can't wait to hear your entry!

Persephonia: Tanya Tagaq
This was more of a wild guess tbh since I couldn't recall a lot of artists that would have alt instrumentation with spoken vocals, and Tanya Tagaq pretty much is the only artist I could recall.

Yehesi: Flexbomb Girls - Pop Off Ate

Now this is more of a wish rather than a guess tbh. I'm sure Cody will approve of this song! This is kinda a hit in song contests already and is a queer anthem for sure. tongue.gif

It is a worthwhile listen imo and builds wonderfully throughout too <3

Looks like I've landed in with some dance/trance people in my semi so hopefully that's a good indicator. Would be a shame if it DNQs personally speaking.
I've heard the COBRAH song which sounded great but I'm not sure I know much else here.

Lookylion and Fljótavík were both high in my potentials, very interested to see how they will do, both great!

I did consider another track by Aluna but thought it might not have passed the veto!

A few artists making a very swift return here. I've heard quite a few of the line-up, but on the face of it, it looks a little more inspired than last month overall.

Juicy Romance - Hummer was the song I first confirmed before I changed it. Now I'm curious to see how well that will do (watch it winning lol).

Rob, I was in Mallorca couple of weeks ago too and I actually Shazam'ed Lola Indigo song as well laugh.gif

Hopefully ya'll ready for my dance ballad turned into club mix wub.gif

4 songs here that I already know I'm a fan of (there were a couple more that got vetoed / reconfirmed, justice 4 'Cake' etc.) and they've split 2 each across the semis - so early hype to Kathaldazia (we stan the nepotism x) & Thelonia (that whole Effy EP is a fantastic little set of techno bangers, maybe the best EP of the year for me wub.gif my fave from it was 'Trip To Reality' but any of the tracks are basically guaranteed high points from me!) from my semi + N DNTN & Fljótavík in semi 1!

As ever there are also a few others I've already heard and hoping will grow on me further from the contest - including another single from the Turnstile album, 'FLY AGAIN' wasn't one of my immediate faves from that but grew on me a ton when that was in BJSC so fingers crossed this one will be similar!

We love to see Persephonia alumnus Fatoumata Diawara reappearing in some capacity. Also I haven't heard 'ABC' yet (was planning to get to it soon!) but nice to see Polyphia making a first appearance here, I sent them to Nuggets years ago!

Not Math sending a Sims remix *_*

Interesting to see Polyphia here this contest, when I was strongly considering sending their 'Playing God'. 'ABC' is probably better suited to BJSC though.

After a few listens however this Altrice entry really hit me though so ended up going for that, it's a very infectious nu-disco house record. I wonder how many here will recognise the sample though, I didn't but upon research found it is of a rather well known singer. No spoilers please!!

Played it out of curiosity and the sample it's quite obvious (spoiler: I sent the artist not long ago lol)
