Not a fan That's how I felt about her on The X Factor (namely 'Firework' where her vocal was HORRENDOUS)  She seems to have learned how to control her voice (a bit) since then, though.

Like The First Time, a real grower-- but seems like an album track.
Apparently she has worked with Ryan Tedder on a song recently and suggested that might become the first single.... If the album if out in March, I guess first single will be start of feb, we should get a release date in the next week or two... |

oh and someone posted a poll (incorrectly) on the Chart forum (now closed) suggesting Five Tattoos was the first single. That is not the case, from those who have spoken to her in the studio, although it will be on the album...

I can't see her being anything major now. She's left it a bit late in the day, although she'll probably still have the diehard fans from XF and pick up a few along the way.

She is still only 17 and has masses of talent, so ruling her out is a bit premature!..she has a shot or two!
As per usual an awful lot is down to the first single, where 90% of the promo money will be. What I found strange was not releasing either of her 2 major xfactor successes in the last year, each with over 20m yt views, Believe and Missed. Either or both would have filled the gap to the album and may well have been hits..... Missed is on the album, but not the 1st single I gather...maybe it could be used as a 2nd single if the first fails....? |
