Better early than late, but better late than never
 Lol @ The 1975, I can't remember ever seeing a song go straight into the A-list and then get thrown off after 4 weeks! Good riddance though, it's just a load of shouty nonsense. Good to see Bombay Bicycle Club and TDCC continue to get support although their days must surely be numbered now. |

The 1975 gone already! Something interesting I observed though is People has had B list level rotation since it was added (meanwhile Joel Corry - Sorry has had A list rotation). Makes sense as People is way heavier than their other tracks and Sorry is doing well but I don’t know why they couldn’t just switch them?

sure the awful People song being playlisted is a payola situation that R1 are forced to playlist no matter what,
doubt it's their cup of tea, same for the kids age 12-15 that are the usual fans, cannot see many liked People but payola is payola

It doesn't happen much but probably more than you think. Last year, Fisher's 'Losing It' and Dennis Lloyd's 'Nevermind' both spent 9 weeks on the playlist but never got higher than the B-list. Same with Major Lazer's 'Light It Up' in 2015. 'Despacito' and Craig David's 'Magic' also did 8 weeks. |
