Sheeran & Bieber could make it five weeks at #1 on the singles chart, expect big new entries for Little Mix with Bounce Back marking their first release under RCA, and Taylor Swift with You Need To Calm Down serving as the lead-in to her upcoming album 'Lover'. There's also a double Drake release with Omertá/Money in the Grave Huge battle in the album chart, Bruce Springsteen's Western Stars may give him an 11th number one, while Madonna chases her 13th with Madame X. Bastille follow up two chart-topping albums with Doom Days, while there's new releases from Kate Tempest and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds with the Black Star Dancing EP Breakdown of the week - Saturday and Sunday: Information on Twitter from MintRoyale only. Please do not make requests, we do not have any information other than what's posted. - Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm. - Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one. - Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed. - Thursday: See Tuesday. Other notes (please read) - You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod). - Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue. - Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. - To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads. |

Thought it may have went back to no1 this week too as it's quite a bit ahead of Ed this week!

Many thanks for opening this thread early this week, likely to be an interesting one both in the Singles and Albums where I'm rooting for Bastille to do well but suspect Bruce will triumph.
Incidentally, Sheeran & Bieber have all ready made it five weeks at #1 on the singles chart and are shooting for six, looking strong favourites to achieve that at this point. |

We'll probably see IDC number one for 9 weeks until ACR kicks in.

Interestingly Ed's album is to be released 12 July, after IDC has been in the chart for 9 weeks.
Presumingly the album tracks will receive huge streams so... IDC could potentially fall 1-OUT from being kicked onto ACR. Let's hope for my sanity and Cody's eyes that doesn't happen. |

I Don’t Care would surely be the most nondescript song ever to get as many as nine weeks at No.1 hopefully something will emerge or gather enough momentum to stop that happening, it will barely be on 50k sales a week by its ninth week.

I believe that OCC rules state the record company chooses which 3 songs from the album will be charting, so I'm sure they will make IDC one of the three. |

I believe that OCC rules state the record company chooses which 3 songs from the album will be charting, so I'm sure they will make IDC one of the three. it may be the case that the label can choose, but in the past singles have dropped out in favour of album tracks (see Ariana's 'thank u, next' falling out because of 'greedy' earlier this year) so it wouldn't surprise me if Ed's label just don't bother to make sure 'I don't care' remains in the chart. although it is equally as likely that the song will just avoid ACR before its 9th week and it'll spend even longer at #1. hell, it may even do a 'one dance' and spend 15 weeks there due to lack of any real competition. though I suspect that another Ed album track will overtake soon enough. |

I believe that OCC rules state the record company chooses which 3 songs from the album will be charting, so I'm sure they will make IDC one of the three. The label has some choice in that the second or third best selling track (but not both) by an act can be replaced with the fourth best selling track if the label requests this but only if either the second or third best selling track is outside the top 20. In addition for the second best selling track to be replaced it has to be on ACR. Once excluded in this way a track is then ineligible to chart for a period of six months.
