Good news Ed fans here! He has a new single called Cross Me with two TBA features out on Friday.
The first feature crossed out on the artwork has a long name, so I'm guessing it's someone like Chance the Rapper or someone 'of...' a band like Hayley Williams or Brandon Urie.

There's rumours that apparently the 2 tracks are from an upcoming collabs EP, rather than his next album. Which would make sense.

really weird he's releasing something new so quick after IDC maybe cos of its underperformance in the US? (it debuts at 2, #1 on pure sales but with average sales of 77K, Sucker did 80K by comparison, and IDC "only" starts at 3 on streams)

Another certain top 5 then but not too certain of a #1 debut.
I Don’t Care is still taking off after all and it’s unlikely it’ll be someone who streams as well as Bieber who’s featuring.

Think the name in middle is Panic! At the Disco and maybe Ryan Tedder is the bottom name. Ryan did say he has a song with Ed coming. Not the biggest of names but this is probably just going to be a instant grat from the EP pre order.

I’m kind of interested to hear it though. I like some of his music and I’m hoping there’ll be a few shock / surprise collaborations on there with some left field type artists.
Also it’ll be good to have a high selling summer album regardless of the artist

I kinda accepted long ago we never would, which is a shame as it sounded properly excellent.
Better than anything either of them have done in a very long time anyway.

Had a listen and it's not that bad, PnB's bit is alright, but Chance's verse ruins it for me tbh. Which is a shame because he's usually pretty solid.

Also the Chance verse is probably the best part of the song? I completely fail to see what's so offputting about it?
PnB Rock's part being a sample makes a lot of sense as it sounds a little 'lo-fi' compared to the rest of the song but it works fine imo. Very good song xx (I definitely see the 'Pray For Me' comparison too)

Echoing the general sentiment that this is pretty enjoyable. Great production and sample and a really nice little melody, Ed sounds good on it and it just generally feels fresh, not tired and derivative like I Don't Care. Shame this isn't the one that's been at No.1 for a month really...
