'FourFiveSeconds' becomes the first song to go straight to B-list (good shout mack25!) since The Foo Fighters' 'Something From Nothing' in October. If anyone had told me a couple of months ago that Paul McCartney would have two simultaneous songs on Radio 1's B-list, I'd have laughed in their face
 No Kelly Clarkson though, I wonder if they're actually going to snub her... Glad they've finally removed Philip George, hopefully they'll stop playing it every two hours now. Surprised Jamie T is still on there. I wonder if they'll keep 'Uptown Funk' on there until it falls from #1? |

This is one of the strongest I've seen the radio playlist at in a while.
Charli on the A list (I know that was last week) with Sia (hopefully this can finally push her into the top 10). And additions from my favourite EVER Calvin Harris track.( I'm really ready for this to outsell some of his recent hits - I can see it being massive.) Years & Years and ILOVEMAKONNEN/Drake (though I'd have liked to see this on the C list, hopefully it can move up because the INMET gets so little plays it basically has no effect) It's a bit premature putting Rihanna on the B list though, I think it'll be bomb... They need to get rid of 'Uptown Funk' now, though. |

Yeah thanks lol, I had a strong feeling they would go straight to B-list  (which I am very happy about and now should hopefully help to stabilise it on iTunes, instead of freefall)!!Happy for Years & Years too...shame they snubbed Kelly Clarkson as her new single has potential. Also no Twin Atlantic which I am a bit shocked at. Disappointed that Maroon 5's "Sugar" didn't get added this week and also it looks like they have ignored Marlon Roudette (unless the release date has been pushed back yet again)!! yay for Pray To God getting added already! should be big. good to see Rihanna already on the B-list too, although it's to be expected as they seem to do that for any big OA/OS release

I expected them to playlist Kelly too. Since they had her as TOTD they have played her a fair few times. She could get a late playlisting next week, but I can't even remember the last time R1 did that?

Rixton's album isn't out til May and the new single doesn't have a pre-order at all so it's probably been pushed back a bit, I doubt they'd be snubbed.

Theoretically they could add Kelly next week, as that's 3 weeks before release and 3 weeks is usually standard?
Realistically, they've always been reluctant to support her and they avoided the GH era over 2 years ago so I'm not expecting it. Weird that they sometimes snub songs they make 'track of the day' though. Yay for Calvin Harris and especially Years & Years, so obsessed with that track right now. |
