 Hello everyone, great to see such a cool crowd out here today! I know you're here for the music, and we promise a lot of it. Rock, rock, walls of rock. I could lose myself for hours in this brilliance. Sometimes, I wake up, and all I want to do is to listen to my music. To revel in it, to be drowned out by it. It is the greatest thing in my life, and I know that if I can bring happiness to people by playing them my song, then I will be satisfied. I just want to spend all of eternity playing my songs to a captive audience, and I'm sure each of these singers wants the same. 21 of you have thought the same way about musical power, and here are songs that each of you thought are great, are your songs, that if you listen, you will be saved. Please make sure that your listen is special, as the graceful and emotional rock chords work their way into your mind. Then, once you have decided your favourites, you will be able to vote accordingly... This is my section! He was very particular. Fourth wall, smorth wall, miss mopey Hayley Williams, why don't you hurry up and do your soft-rock thing or whatever it is so we get to my turn to perform the only true genre for my audience. *sigh* what genre? MELODIC DEATH MEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that nonsense aside, also, there are rules to this thing... which I'll do. You can go disappear backstage already, no one needs you. you know what, you may be a fellow musician, but I hope you lose your voice reading those rules... OKAY, RULES TIME. 1. If you were very lazy and didn't submit an entry, you are in luck! You can still vote on the songs in front of you. They're all banging, Izzy can testify, so it'll be well worth your time. Just vote the same way as everyone else. 2. If you did submit an entry, you must vote for every entry except that entry. Can't be silly and vote for yourself. If you don't vote, and Izzy will keep pestering you until you do, you will lose 12 points from your final score, which would be obviously awful so don't do that. 3. The deadline is going to be Saturday May 4th 23:59, which by Izzy's possibly flawed reckonings is just over two weeks to vote so no one has ANY EXCUSE. 4. The Nuggets voting format is the 12 point ESC system. So what that means is basically this handy little table: 12 points to your favourite entry 10 08 07 06 05 04 03 02 01 point to your tenth favourite entry 5. Please wing all PMs containing votes to the inbox of my personal favourite bae Iz~, which is me. Or the person I'm pretending to be, I've gotten confused with all this tense confusion, it's making me tense and confused! Again! 6. Guess away at who the people next to your song might be and how people match up with songs in general but don't reveal who you are. If Izzy is obviously one song or other, he wants to hear it! I'm sure the same is true for the rest of you, so you can laugh at how wrong they are (or live in fear that they know EXACTLY how your mind works! Scary!). 7. You know, this bit was very very important so I had better not forget it. Should recall who won the contest before last because this is who we're looking up to and trying to beat. It's Cucumberella's The Banished Heart by Oceans Of Slumber Banger of a tune, that one. 8. Why am I still doing numbers, I've gotten past the rules part. Back to that other person I guess. Like Club Bizarre, there's a Deandria recycle again :3 Could it be me??! In any case, after 'Father Hu$$la' bombed pretty heavily, I'm interested to see how Ecca Vandal does here.
That is one monstrous voting period! At least it gives me a good chance to let the songs sink in properly. *votes within the first few days* |

Hmmmm. Someone has sent the artist that I originally confirmed and was now planning to send to BJSC 114, this derails my plans somewhat. (It is a different song so I might just make an exception to my 'no recycling of any kind ever' self-imposed rules since they were mine first!!1 but idk ~) I guess for now I won't give away which artist that is but I've not heard the song that's been sent here so I hope it is as good as the handful of other songs I was considering from them myself!
That Flash Republic song was in BJSC before but a very long time ago (before I even joined, Mattias was the only person in this contest who was around in BJSC back then), I presume it's fine to let that one slide but I thought I'd better point it out anyway lol ~ Aside from that and the mystery act referred to in the previous paragraph the only names I recognise here are Dirty Projectors and Ecca Vandal.

Yes to a plug sesh and Thursday sounds good, thanks for offering to organise it. I can't promise I'll be there because of timezone (and the reason I say it sounds good is that IF I'm awake then Thursday is one of the better nights for that) but I definitely would love seeing one getting organised seeing as I'm unlikely to be able to do one myself at a convenient time for people.

Voted! I'm a little biased considering that I was the host last time but I feel like this was a big step down in quality, really lacked the diversity of nuggs 10! Having said that, there are a handful of gems and some of them were actually... screamy?? Who knew I'd be converted to scream songs oh my
