Ethan Hayter has signed as a Stagiaire for Sky for next season so we might see him in some of the lesser road races.

Team Sky rider Gianni Moscon has been banned for five weeks by the UCI, after he tried to hit another rider during stage 15 of this year's Tour de France.
The Italian, 24, was disqualified from the race after the incident with Team Fortuneo-Samsic's Elie Gesbert. |

Anyone else watching the Tour of Britain? Greipel won the first sprint stage, and Meyer won the second stage from the breakaway just seconds away from the chase group! Tonelli takes the leader's jersey though, finishing just behind Meyer after being in the break with him all day.
Both Thomas and Froome are clearly riding for leader Wout Poels (7th in GC) - Thomas is 3 minutes back and Froome 12 minutes back |

Yes, I've been catching bits of this. Yesterday was a really good stage, excellent last 40k.

Julian Alaphilippe wins the sprint in Stage 3! Bevin, who finished second, takes the jersey while Meyer (yesterday's winner) stays in 2nd. Tonelli falls to 25th.

Must've missed posting about the Tour of Britain finale - Alaphillipe won, somewhat predictably
Interesting to not include Froome & Thomas in the World Championship team but I guess they're probably both quite tired after the seasons they've had. And with Simon Yates doing so well at the Vuelta he's a great fit. |

TV coverage of the World Champs is split between Eurosport and the BBC. Eurosport has full coverage of all the time trials and the minor road races, but the Men's and Women's Road Races next weekend are BBC only.

That's pretty annoying as someone who doesn't have access to Eurosport. Although with one TV between 12 of us chances are I won't get to watch it at all

Australia's Rohan Dennis has won the men's individual time trial.
Sorry my mistake, the men's individual time trial was available to watch on the BBC website. |

Nice to see it in Leeds again (although hardly unexpected) - would love it to come up to York but somehow I can't see it happening

Not good news to hear that Geraint Thomas has had his Tour de France trophy stolen from a cycling show in Birmingham.
