With initial ideas for the new album coming and this era seemingly under wraps once the tour is done, if you could force Gaga to release one more single from it, what would you go for?
What should follow the story of Perfect Illusion and Million Reasons?
(John Wayne still in here, it got a video but it's not a single x)
I mean it's been Dancin' In Circles for ages for me, but recently Diamond Heart has shot up in my affections and I think it's my favourite on the album altogether now. It also opens ___ the tour so would make such a fitting single imo. Plus it's STUNNING and so meaningful to Gaga's current mentality and inner strength.
DIAMOND HEART ALL THE WAY
Dancin' In Circles would be my top pick for the next single! It has been infectious since listen #1
THAT CAN BE FOURTH
Sexxx Dreams
(never forget sxxxd </3)
'Diamond Heart' is probably the most commercial song left and such a deep song to me so that Dancing' In Circles next, barnyard bop *.*
'Diamond Heart'. I've grown to really love that!
Diamond Heart would probably rocket into my TOP HALF of Gaga singles to date if it got a release (perhaps) do it MOTHER
I'd choose Diamond Heart, whilst I love Perfect Illusion I can't hep but feel it should've been the lead the more I listen to it. I agree with you Bal it just fits her so perfectly as a single given how she stands as a person right now.
'Diamond Heart' definitely, as the only one that stands out for me, smart move swapping 'A-Yo' for 'Million Reasons', as I don't think the former would have connected with people, I know 'MR' only became a hit in the USA thanks to that performance, but it was the far better song.
The video for 'John Wayne' was fun, but in terms of chart success, just a little bit too out there for the public. Although I'm surprised that they didn't rush release another single after 'MR' sudden success.
'John Wayne' should have been pushed as the third single. It's pushed it's way to be my clear favourite on the album; it's so wild and fierce and I can really picture this coming on in a club at the weekend and everyone just losing it to the chorus. How can Gaga release one of her best videos in years and leave the song as just a promo?! Definitely should have been sent to radio when the video dropped.
I remember at the time when I thought it was a single, I had 'Dancin' in Circles' in mind to be the fourth. It's kinda similar to 'John Wayne', just a more tame version yet still an absolute bop. I can see the case for 'Diamond Heart' being a single though. It was one of my least favourites last year but, like others have said, it's definitely grown its way up my affections. It's quite commercial and has a great message.
But, back to 'John Wayne', can we just take a moment to appreciate what is now one of my favourite Gaga performances ever:
Dancin' In Circles would be my pick
A-YO
Million Reasons
Dancin' in Circles
Should have been the singles, and then The Cure this summer. I love Diamond Heart but I don't really hear it as a single. I'm still shocked they didn't lead with A-YO. Imagine those dive bar visuals + the performances she's done (especially the SNL one) #slay
DIAMOND HEART!
Always been my favourite on the album and her vocals sound fantastic on it. I would've loved to see a video for it !
I would have pushed both DH and Ayo as singles to be honest as they are both two of her all-time best tracks for me but I'm not sure anything else on the album really stood much chance at being a commercial success for her. I never got the hype for Dancin' In Circles either, I'd probably go as far as saying it's my least favourite on the album.
This love for DH I'm glad i'm not the only one that it's really grown for. I don't remember as much love for it when the album first dropped, but it really is the centrepiece of the entire album imo and perfectly encapsulates who Gaga is right now.
Diamond Heart and DIC are crap. Just overhyped by fans.
Diamond Heart
Dancin In Circles
Really hope that rumor of her shooting a video for it in Canada whilst she was on tour turns out to be true.
