Top 40 or flop next week?
Train Angel In Blue Jeans Bulletproof Picasso | 2014 Release date: 07-09-2014 Format: digital single Label: Columbia Records Video here: Biography Train is an American rock band from San Francisco. The band currently consists of Pat Monahan (vocals), Jimmy Stafford (lead guitar), Jerry Becker (rhythm guitar and piano), Hector Maldonado (bass), and Drew Shoals (drums). With a lineup that included original members Monahan, Stafford, Underwood, Rob Hotchkiss and Charlie Colin, the band achieved mainstream success with their debut album Train, which was released in 1998 with the hit "Meet Virginia". Train's 2001 album, Drops of Jupiter contained the lead single "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)", which won two Grammy Awards in 2002. The album was certified double platinum in the United States and Canada and remains the band's best-selling album to date. Train's third studio album, My Private Nation, released in 2003, was certified platinum in the United States with the hit "Calling All Angels". Following the departures of Hotchkiss and Colin, the band released their fourth album, For Me, It's You in 2006, with Brandon Bush (keyboards) and Johnny Colt (bass). Despite a generally positive reception from critics, the album was commercially unsuccessful. Because of this, Train went on a three year hiatus. In late 2009, Train released the album Save Me, San Francisco, from which the album's three singles—-the RIAA 6x Platinum-certified international hit "Hey, Soul Sister", "If It's Love" and "Marry Me"—-reached high positions on the Billboard Hot 100 at numbers 3, 34, and 34, respectively. The album itself has been certified gold by both the RIAA and ARIA and has sold 954,000 units. Since 2008, Jerry Becker (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals) and Hector Maldonado (bass, guitar, percussion, backing vocals) have been touring and recording with the group around the world. In April 2012, Train released their sixth studio album titled California 37. The first single from the album entitled "Drive By" reached number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was a Top 10 hit in the UK, their first Top 20 single since 2009. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2001 10 Drops Of Jupiter (Tell Me) -1- 2002 49 She's On Fire -2- 2010 18 Hey, Soul Sister -1- 2012 06 Drive By -1- 2012 50 50 Ways To Say Goodbye -2- 2014 xx Angel In Blue Jeans -1- |

Robin Schulz killing it with getting the elusive multi-week #1 in 2014, twice! A bit sad that Duke's streak is ruined and thus will never match the glorious career of Robson & Jerome, but then it's not as good as Need U or I Got U, while Prayer In C is great!

No discussion about a number two hit being bigger than a number one is complete without mention of A-ha - The Sun Always Shines On TV (number one) and Take On Me (number two).

Can Scott please present the chart every week. He is very slick sounding and the chart seems to flow much better and quicker with him at the buttons and the info he is giving about the tracks/artists is on a higher level than the recycled scripts Jameela uses week in week out. I agree, he is the Chart Show host that never was as far as Radio 1 Chart Show history goes, and it's a great shame as he's really good at it, unlike pretty much every host since Wes left. In fact I'm pretty sure this particular edition of the Chart Show marked a very special career record for Scott, in that he has now presented the Chart Show in more calender years than any other host (regular or temporary), having tied with Mark Goodier last year, and now having overtaken him. So in a sense he is the longest running Chart Show host ever, yet he has never been given the Chart Show in his own right for some reason. |

I'm thankful he hasn't ever been given it. I would rather have him on five times a wekk rather than one where he's not able to do features and talk about anything he wants to.

I agree to be honest and I like Scott's voice. It's really odd that he never was a chart presenter he did only chart when the "actual" presenter was away. He's one of the longest running presenters at the station now maybe when he doesn't have a daytime show he will do the chart permanently? |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZB6RFZURoo Radio 1 seem to have added a new feature of a little chart countdown on their Youtube page presented by Scott Mills with a bit of extra bad jokes and self promotion thrown in for good measure. I hope Jameela presents it when she's back *-* |
