Why would you enjoy seeing an artist's drop? Does her levels of success/chart position really affect you that much?

This coming from the forum that actively roots against anything Ed Sheeran does 🤔

It is more I'm bored of reading Kylie fans post rubbish and the sooner her album is out the charts the better for my enjoyment of this forum.

Is an album really more popular though if 5k people buy 5 copies each or an album where 20k people buy 1 each?

Same as is an album really more popular if the same person streams it every day / week for whatever the cap is

But doesn't it take like 1,000 streams (or is it 1,500) streams to make 1 album sale? That is what 4,000 minutes.

If albums do well on streaming it is because they are really popular with the general public not just their fanbase. I think that is a good thing but for some reason this forum takes issue with that.

I do believe Kylie will be the album to knock it off the top spot if only for a week.

I don't actually care if Ed does well or not, it doesn't affect me. I just don't like the majority of his music.

I don't know why it is affecting you so, there are plenty of places that Kylie isn't discussed - she is going to be discussed more when her album is released as there are a lot of fans on here, there is a forum dedicated to her. If you don't like it, then just skim past. It's so easy.

150 streams of 10 tracks from the album (which if someone likes an album they would have listened to it 150 times in no time

I feel like George will knock TGS off and I think Ed is gonna find another week to sneak in before Kylie.

But then again, Ed could actually, potentially do it next week, depending on how strong his mothers day buys are!

What? 10 x 150 = 1,500 x 4 minutes a track = 6,000 minutes = 100 hours = over 4 days if you listen non stop to make an album sale. Plus you have a 10 stream song cap, so could only contribute 100 streams to an album a day any way. So would need 15 days to make an album sale.

People just need to realise if a song or album is doing well on streaming it is being listened on mass by the general public. Fanbases don't have a big effect on streaming.

Jesus you are totally immature. It is getting even more boring to see you always posting about how Kylie fans are annoying you and that you want her to flop.
This is a music forum and she is a major act who is releasing a new albu, she is going to get discussed whether you like it or not, sp just get over yourself. Nobody forces you to read every post that mentions Kylie.

Ed Sheeran is actually relatively popular on this forum compared to most other music forums. If you want a real shock, try Popjustice. With some exceptions, he's generally not liked outside of very casual mass music fans. The more renowned music critics aren't fans and the same goes with most music intellects on social media. But yes, keep on with your immature logics.

Well, I'm sick to death of reading your rubbish but unfortunately you're gonna be here long after Kylie's album has been and gone.

If Ed Sheeran was to get another week he has to get next week as mothers day is sunday but i really hope he doesnt. Its time to move on now from Ed. There are other artists out there worthy of number one album. George Ezra most likely get a week and i hope Blossoms and Kylie do as well. I dont mind Greatest Showman staying there till whenever. When is Mammia Mia 2 soundtrack out? That could go top. And of course there is always the outside chance of that Post Malone dropping his Beer Bentley album after being pushed back so many times. Personally i hope not. Cant stand this urban rubbish. A friend of mine said whatever will be will be. The one with the most sales is rightfully the number one.

I can't see the Post Malone album going #1. It'll do amazingly well on streaming but won't sell many downloads. More likely for it to debut top five (top 3 if it's lucky) and then stick around the top 40 for the rest of the year.

Yes, it spent the whole of 1959 at number 1. When will Ed Sheeran?

http://www.musicweek.com/labels/read/kylie...-for-bmg/071785

Sounds like they have high hopes for the first week Golden sales.

“All eyes are on us,” he added. “We believe this is going to be the biggest ship of a BMG record in the UK that we’ve ever had. We anticipate that it will be the biggest-selling week one record we’ve ever had on BMG UK.”

Not sure who else is on BMG UK (Rick Astley?)
