I shall feel almost unclean cheering on someone called Trump.

Posted by: Sakho 14th April 2017, 07:53 PM

Judd Trump is nothing like Donald Trump at all.

Wilson to win the title.

Posted by: Mack 15th April 2017, 01:44 PM

Me too, we're perfectly aware Donald and Judd aren't the same.

Glad O'Brien has avoided the whitewash although remains 8-1 down against Selby.

I expected Maguire to beat McGill and he could as he is 7-2 up against him.

O'Sullivan never learns to keep his opinions to himself when he is interviewed.

Posted by: Mack 17th April 2017, 10:03 PM

A real thriller tonight between Fu and Brecel. A great comeback from Marco.

Posted by: Mack 18th April 2017, 11:53 AM

John Higgins through although a comeback from Martin Gould to win 10-6. He was 7-2 up at one point was John.

Posted by: Mack 19th April 2017, 12:06 PM

8-6 now to Rory McLeod against the favourite, Judd Trump. A massive upset potentially.

Posted by: Mack 19th April 2017, 09:25 PM

And it is a major upset with McLeod winning 10-8 over Trump in a unscheduled third session.

Posted by: Mack 20th April 2017, 07:37 AM

Trump faces a fine for not talking to the media in his post-match against McLeod.

That didn't last long sad.gif

He's got bags of talent does Judd Trump. But he does play some very unnecessary shots at a crucial point.

Very true. They can be great shots when they work, but damaging when they don't.

Posted by: Mack 21st April 2017, 12:53 PM

He's still only 27, Trump. Although he still almost has that stigma to just play ridiculous shots when it's not needed.

John Higgins first person through to the semis with a 13-6 win over Kyren Wilson. I think he has a great chance of winning the title would be good to see John win it again.

Semi-Final Draw

Mark Selby v Ding Junhui
John Higgins v Barry Hawkins

I'll be surprised if Hawkins beat Higgins in the semis.

Posted by: Suedehead2 28th April 2017, 09:11 PM

Neither Hawkins nor Higgins have played particularly well in their semi so far.

Posted by: Mack 28th April 2017, 09:53 PM

Ding and Selby however, what a third session that was. 12-12 going into the final session. Ding's 13th century at the World Championship.

Posted by: Mack 30th April 2017, 08:12 PM

8-4 currently to John Higgins. Selby still looks tired following his match with Ding.

Posted by: Suedehead2 30th April 2017, 09:11 PM

10-6 now with one more frame to play. Selby has come back well in the last two frames. If he can win the last one of the night and get a good night's sleep, he still has a very good chance.

Looks like 10-9 now to Higgins the man who swallowed 300k back in 2010.

Lay off John. Yes he made a mistake back then he's put his hands up and apologized. He's still one of the best players who's played the game. That was 7 years ago.

Posted by: Mack 1st May 2017, 06:09 PM

13-11 now to Mark Selby.

The final session is always a thrill to watch. Could be 18-16 either way. I think Selby has got the momentum though.

Posted by: Suedehead2 1st May 2017, 07:08 PM

15-12 now with both players making the odd mistake but generally playing very well.

Posted by: Mack 1st May 2017, 07:31 PM

Could be an vitual frame this with it being either 16-12 to Selby or 15-13.

Can't see Selby surrendering a four frame lead if that were to happen.

Posted by: Mack 1st May 2017, 10:30 PM

And Selby won it 18-15. A great final indeed. Heroic performance from John Higgins, still a top player and Selby the best player in the world. Brilliant comeback from 10-4 down from Mark.

Posted by: Suedehead2 1st May 2017, 10:53 PM

A great final indeed with both players contributing a lot to it. We even had a rare controversial refereeing decision ohmy.gif
