ULTIMATE DANCE 2010s // 2016

The 6th Round: 2016

This last decade has been brilliant for dance music and now that it's well and truly over it's about time we went through it and decide which tunes are the best! Unlike regular Ultimate Dance which ran last year, only songs released in the 2010s will be eligible. As it is a decade-only edition the rounds will be split into years. We move on to 2016 which had 71 dance hits, a bit of a downgrade from 2014 and 2015 but still a lot for you to choose from. It was the peak year for The Chainsmokers who had two massive hits in 'Closer' and 'Don't Let Me Down', as well as being the year Jonas Blue broke through and Clean Bandit had a 9 week #1 with 'Rockabye'.

As ever what constitutes as dance is a fine line so I may have made an error of judgement, if there's a track you think should or shouldn't be on here then let me know.

You may vote for up to 20 songs, made up of the year's UK top 100 hits that fit the dance genre. The top 5 will auto-qualify to the final and the remainder of the top 20 will go to the semi-finals.

If you haven't already, make sure to also vote in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015. These rounds are all still open.
