ROUND 16!
WELL, if it makes my fellow Blackout stans feel any better, this is technically a 'Circus' single, since it was released as the fourth single as a bonus track from the album. The recording sessions took place the day after Spears filed for divorce from Kevin Federline, and members of The Clutch claimed to be surprised by her work ethic. "Radar" was originally planned to be released as the third single from Blackout, but "Break the Ice" was released instead. This was due to a contract agreement Britney made with Bloodshy & Avant promising them the single treatment, which had to be carried out at a later date... For obvious reasons. Although it would have been a perfect time to continue her "to be continued" anime inspired video for 'Break The Ice' (which is brilliant song and video wise, so can y'all not?).
Instead Britney used the video to pay tribute to her friend/ idol, Madonna. The video is heavily inspired by "Take A Bow". And don't forget about the horse, y'all.

Agreed. If I were to make a prediction I'd say the 5 going out before the top 20 would be;
- Do Somethin'
- If You Seek Amy
- Sometimes
- I Wanna Go
- 3

I hope Sometimes doesn't go! It's in my top 5 Britney singles for sure, but her discography is so strong I can't see anything going at all

She really does, and that's even with stan mode turned off. Everything seemed to get very split in the middle once "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" left.

Also, thanks to this rate I've been listening to her a lot and 'Outrageous' has just hit me. Definitely deserved higher than 31!

Having reacquainted myself with "Break The Ice" I do think it deserves no to go JUST YET. Switched to "Born To Make You Happy", just not my type of song, but i do love "Sometimes".

'Lucky' I wouldn't say is a nursery rhyme, the lyrics are actually pretty sinister. I didn't realise just how much when I was younger.

Also, Break The Ice was not performed on the Circus tour but was made into THE best interlude ever. They played it right before the encore, f***ing spectacular.
Talk about getting an arena HYPED.

I don't mean to sound like I'm having a dig, but why don't people just vote for the song they actually dislike the most and let the results occur naturally rather than forming alliances and tactical voting?
I mean, this is what happened with the Gaga one and the results ended up looking like a mess.

Ugh. Do Somethin' got 3 votes max in each round until round 15 where VERY MIRACULOUSLY the number rose to 10 and now it's 14. Ridiculous :/ Can everyone get a mind of their own please.
Okay, I might not be voting for HIAM (which is my least fave right now) myself right now in favour of targetting something less liked and almost as bad as the aforementioned song, but conspiring to get something out is going too far. IT'S NOT BIG BROTHER US!!1

I think ultimately that there really hasn't been an alliance vote that's gone through! I mean people tried to take out Sometimes and Do Somethin' last round to save Radar, and that didn't happen.

Radar was on 0 people's radar (~) ONE round before it got out. It's just TOO WEIRD for a coincidence. And it's been happening with like every song recently. 0-3 votes, then 10 the next round and if lucky it survives until the next round but no further. Provided that more or less same people vote in each round, surely ~7 (out of ~10) people who eliminated last song couldn't ALL dislike the same song the most out of the remaining ones?!

it'll stop happening as soon as we get down the the legit popular ones. i know ive had a few I've hardly cared between in each round and just find with the one that seemed most likely to beat break the ice, ha.

But, really once a song that garners 15 votes one round and gets voted out, surely it's expected for those votes to locate elsewhere? Do Somethin' only went through to Radar by one vote, 10-11. I don't see how Do Somethin' being in the lead is that much of a shocker... Even I I don't agree with it.

When it almost went out in the last round? Yes.
Last round had a little over 40 votes and Do Somethin' had 10 votes in the end. Radar had 11. So far Do Somethin' has 14 votes, which is a 40 % increase. Sounds plausible to me. Assuming those 4 votes came from people that voted for 'Radar', then more than half the votes have gone too different songs.
I don't think there is too much bandwagon voting going on, but some is inevitable.

I was talking about the round 14->15 progression tbh. 3 votes for both Radar and Do Somethin' and then BAM they got 10-11 votes each in the next round. Granted, 11 more people voted in that round but it's still a bit shady. And votes for some songs from the before round disappeared.

Next round is going to be VERY interesting. Four songs are in second place with four votes a piece and 2 songs have 3 votes. Hopefully it's '...Amy' that goes next. But I can't be mad if it doesn't because this is impossible. At least you're all making it easy for me top just vote '...Amy' until it's gone!
