Obviously we have no music to judge this of, no release date
BUT when it comes to the album finally dropping how big are we expecting this to be in its opening week? Just a bit of fun tbh but will be interesting to see how close people come to guessing. Going by the success of her last album in week 1 In the US Anti sold 166K at #1 in its first full week of tracking sales (we can forget the #27, 460 sales debacle lol). Of those 124K were pure sales. In the UK Anti sold 20,136 copies in its opening week debuting and peaking at #7. This post has been edited by Jordan Lee: 6th August 2019, 11:46 AM |

Perhaps I’ve been optimistic here but I went for
51-70K UK sales. Streaming will be huge and there’s big hype surrounding this too. I definitely feel it’ll open better than ANTI. I also went for UK #1 too. USA wise I think it’ll sell around 250K and getting a #1 there too. The US sales could be higher if she does a big tour bundle but she never had like a huge first week there has she despite being consistent. EDIT! If Adele releases around the same time and she does a Q4 release however it may be a #2 peaker but with the same sales as mentioned above. ^ This post has been edited by Jordan Lee: 15th September 2019, 08:57 PM |

Honestly I think it'll underperform. But I hope I am wrong.

It will obviously do better than ANTI considering the latter wasn't on Spotify/Apple Music in its first full week (when it opened with 20K). Not to mention the terrible rollout. I think 50K+ is definitely possible in the UK.

All depends on if R9 has a conventional release with no exclusives or giveaways.
That being said there's HUGE hype around R9. The streaming numbers I predict are going to be fantastic worldwide when it is released. Especially in the US, which is actually becoming her strongest market. I can see R9 having her biggest first week sales in the US. I voted for US #1 (301-400K) and UK #1 (30K) for R9. |

1. 31-50k - I think anything over is too ambitious even for Rih in this climate. I expect around 46k.
2. 301-400k - I don't really know what the sales climate is like in the US these days but she's just got bigger and bigger over there and Anti was probably her biggest success yet. 3. No - I can just see a messy release preventing her from getting another UK #1 album. 4. Yes - see second line. |

People are underestimating her UK power, "Believe It" doing well in the UK despite having weak airplay and no video (yet) is proof she still has huge power there. She'll do 50K or close to that (if it's on every streaming service from the 1st day).
