The Avicii tragedy totally overshadowed the Ariana lead single which I think could’ve gone in straight at the top. "Friend Of Mine" has ended up with something like 70 plays in one week, loads more than anything else, I’ve been rinsing it. Seems relevant to mark the occasion with him grabbing the number 1 heart.gif

This chart confuses me. 2002 at #88?? I thought you HATED it. Do you just chart EVERYTHING?

I heard that Janelle song for the first time during my night out yesterday, it's quite a sexy jam isn't it music.gif

Lol at that massive climb for Inje mellow.gif

Hi Sven - there really was no question as to what should be number 1 this week as I've played "Friend Of Mine" at least 3:1 times more than anything else out at the moment. Completely overshadowed Ariana's lead single though I'm sure that'll climb high, if not to the top, in coming weeks.

Glad you agree on Isaac Gracie! The album is great. He's a talent. Also loving the way Shawn's music is maturing. I think he's an artist that could get bigger and bigger as he gets older.

Years & Years are around their peak now I think for "Sanctify". "King" and "Shine" were big number 1s for me but this isn't near that quality, though I still enjoy it. Top 20 is a very good peak really!

I need to give the P!nk song more listens really to justify it going higher but it is a good song. My favourite from her to date is "Try" wub.gif

Troye had a huge first era in my chart and "Blue Neighbourhood" was my top album of 2015. One of my favourites of the decade. The new song is nice but hasn't impacted me like other songs out at the moment. Still much more to come from him.

Thanks Sven!

Hello J Triangle HQ!

Well! Songs chart based on a rounded impact in that week, with overall and potential impact also taken into consideration, and I've heard "2002" a fair few times. It's corny and pretty bad but enough to chart in the 100. It could grow, you never know. "Friends" made it into the top 20 before plummeting quite quickly as I realised I actually hated it laugh.gif

The Janelle track is great - though I went off it fairly quickly too. Not like "Friends" though; I still like it!

"Inje"'s climb is pretty much owed to that Eurovision night last week laugh.gif I've never sung along to a balkan ballad in the middle of the bar before, even if my version literally went "bloo blah blee blah blooooooo blah bleeeee"

Thanks for commenting!!!!

Hi Midge!

Lovely to see Friend of Mine at #1, my favourite from his most recent output and a fitting tribute to the tragedy sad.gif

Nice to see One In One Out enter as well, I've been really taken by that! It was definitely a grower for me so I'm hoping it can make some upwards progress in the next few weeks biggrin.gif

Saturday Sun on the rise, I've seen it's been pushed as a single now, great choice! Although it reached #2 in my chart when it was released as an instant grat so I don't think it'll be re-entering high for me tongue.gif

Great chart biggrin.gif

Hi Midge!

Snap! laugh.gif Friend of Mine #1 wub.gif

Lot's of great songs here, nice climb for In My Blood into the Top 5 and One Kiss #7 dance.gif

What did you think of Brother? I much preferred Brother to Follow Your Fire although as a whole I'm not too excited for Kodaline's next album. Honest and The One really really great from their last era but so far I don't think we're getting anything better. High Hopes remains a fav wub.gif

Nice for Nice For What to enter Top 40 dance.gif The best thing Drake's released in years tbh

Great chart biggrin.gif

Hello Midge!
Happy that Avicii is at #1 (It's a nice tribute)!
I'm happy to see "One Kiss" in the top 10
As for the big gains that I like are: "First Time", "Next To Me", "The Middle", "Nice For What", "Answerphone", "Remind Me To Forget", "Miracle", "I Like It", "Flames", "On The Loose", "Saturday Sun" and "Like I Do"!
And I like the debuts of: "No Tears Left To Cry", "1, 2, 3", "Let Me", "Shotgun", "2002", "Magic", "Nevermind" (It's becoming a big hit in my country!) and "All Or Nothing"!
There are a lot of songs that I enjoy!
Great chart as always!
