The original, which went to #9 in 1988 and is still a Heart FM staple.

Went to #4 in 2005. The Boy Meets Girl lead singer rerecorded his vocals for this version.

Went to #3 in 2005 and was in the top 10 the same time as the Cabin Crew version. laugh.gif

And for added good measure:

Went to #13 in 2005! Huge revival for this song. laugh.gif

think I prefer the original version (big hit in my charts first time round though I overdosed a bit on it after a while), though I do enjoy decent covers or different covers of big hits smile.gif

The Sunset Strippers version is my favourite! I think this is due to that extra bit of energy that it adds to the original. I could never get into the Cabin Crew version.

Sunset Strippers by far, noughties classic.

Sunset Strippers. It flows better than the Cabin Crew one and it has the entire chorus in it. The original is OK but it is too slow and soppy for me.

We need more 80s remixes in the charts again though. It was sad when Duck Sauce - NRG flopped this decade.

The best of those 80s remixes in 2005 though I think was Groove Cutters - We Close Our Eyes. Some of the trance covers in the 00s were great too - Kelly Llorenna - Tell To My Heart and DHT ft Edmee - Listen To Your Heart

I prefer the original. This song was written for Whitney Houston originally, her version would have sounded even better I'd imagine..

Definitely the original version, I really loved that back in the late 80s.
