Great start for Philip George, hope he can get the #2 overall (#1 is probably out of the picture with Mark's continuing dominance).

Number 1 is out of bounds for any release until Lips Are Movin (and even then it's not a surefire bet) but Philip George managing #2 would be amazing. One of the best dance tracks this year (and so late on too! )

I know it's probably perfectly obvious to everyone *but* me - but who the hell is Philip George?

Wednesday also has Conchita Wurst on Graham Norton performing Rise Like a Phoenix and Queen and Adam Lambert will be performing on concert on BBC One. Done and added Jools Holland, Ed Sheeran is dominating all week some really great musical guests on the Jools Hootenay show |

I wonder if Mark Ronson will be #1 for the whole month of January, can't see Philip George getting there, shame about the broken run at #1 though. I think Meghan could be the next #1 with her new track, if AATB buggers off quickly.
Just realised Comic Relief next year, the single is usually out in March, most likely a pop band will cover something, I chuck a name maybe Union J |

They'd go for someone with a relatively big fanbase, so yeah I think The Vamps could be in for a shout - especially as they'll be gearing up album #2. They could just as easily make a Take That album track the charity single too, they've done that before (was it JLS?)
Decent start for Phillip George, it's a pretty average dance track for me though; but promising that dance/house will continue to be popular into 2015. I'd much rather Mark Ronson spend consecutive weeks at the summit (fingers crossed Meghan Trainor's 'AATB' resurgence overshadows the new track!) Gutted that Jessie J's era is being handled so poorly, though in defence "Bang Bang" is still selling strong so if there was any promo the label would be best to push that and attempt to make it a million seller. I'll be ordering the album soon I think, some very good tracks from what I've heard. |

I think it was Robbie Williams (JLS did a comic relief track too but with a new song). Anyway it was a massive flop (missed the top 40) so I doubt they'd use that method again (especially with Take That who would very likely go the same way). A boyband with a big fanbase is probably what they'll go for, The Vamps/Union J sound likey (hopefully The Vamps as they sell more than Union J) |

Robbie Williams was a Sport Relief single, not a Comic Relief one, but yes it was a flop.

They could just as easily make a Take That album track the charity single too, they've done that before (was it JLS?) It was Take That in 2011 actually when Happy Now was the Comic Relief single. Robbie and Leona both had album tracks become Sports Relief tracks and Ellie Goulding had an album track become a Children in need single |
