A Dal has proved quite the success for them, so I look forward to seeing what they come up with.
The lineup for this has been announced. IV and Passed from A Dal last year and the Hungarian entrant from 2014 Andras Kallay-Saunders (this time with a band in tow I think, it's not clear) are all back. Clips or full versions of the songs can be found http://wiwibloggs.com/2015/12/15/a-dal-2016-names-of-the-thirty-acts-revealed/111147/.
Not won over by any of those three 'big' names on first impression but I'll leave the people with nothing else in their lives to sift through them and discern what's good (hi Ryan!).
The song with arguably the most hype at the moment is 'Who We Are' by Kállay Saunders Band (it is András with his band that he formed after Eurovision 2014 and some of the hype may come from the fact it is a returning artist admittedly), and I absolutely love it! András gets to show a complete different tone to his voice and it really works. Anthemic electronic pop-rock we could possibly call it, I think it could give András a second Eurovision top 5 if it did win A Dal especially as they are working with a graphic artist (who is ByeAlex's sister) to create a special background animation!
I may actually prefer this to 'Running' and I loved that!
Kallay-Saunders is actually one of my favourite artists at the moment. Any of the upbeat songs from Delivery Boy would make perfect Eurovision entries (for all the right reasons, I mean) .
Who We Are is a really good song and all, but I would prefer a song like Faded, or After Party, but maybe that's just because I've listened to them more. Still, whatever song it is I don't really mind, I'm just pleased to see him on the show again (hopefully)
I heard Victory when that was released and really liked it, but never checked out their album. However on the strength of this track, I think I'll definitely give it a listen at some point!
Another front runner for Hungary is this song by Patai Anna, which is genuinely crap and sounds exactly like one of those terrible first round entries that gets forgotten. Or maybe I'm just too desperate to get Kallay-Saunders Band to represent them lol. It's not too bad.

The first semi final of A Dal is coming up soon, in which I believe ten acts perform.
Still hoping Kallay-Saunders Band can get it this year again

The first heat of A Dal 2016 has finished with the votes on that page ^^^^
Kallay-Saunders band in the next heat, hope he can advance
And indeed he did, in first place! Apparently he has been unwell, but he sounded pretty great to me bar an iffy first few seconds!
From the first two heats, it looks like the potential winners are them and Freddie who won last week. Pioneer is decent but it hasn't quite clicked with me yet:
Really hoping Kallay and the Band can qualify - he seems the favourite to do so
That voice in the chorus
Just FLOATING IN to say that Győz a jó (one of the second heat qualifiers) is UTTERLY SENSATIONAL and MUST WIN
It's like a return to the GLORY DAYS of the late 00s!
Yasssssssss please
The first semi final happened recently, and the following qualified..
Petruska "Trouble in My Mind"
Gergő Oláh "Győz a jó"
Kállay Saunders Band "Who We Are"
Mushu "Uncle Tom"
The votes were very close between these 4, but the public gave Kallay-Saunders the highest rating (out of 10) so that's all I'm bothered about
It definitely looks promising for Kállay Saunders Band if they make it to the final 4 where it is televote only, especially as Who We Are has charted in the top 10 on some chart apparently from what I read the other day. However with them only coming 3rd in the semi final, I'm worried they could miss out on the top 4 in the first place, hopefully Freddie is the only strong act in semi 2 otherwise it could be a nervous wait in the first part of the final!
Looks very likely Freddie is going to win after his performance tonight. I hadn't quite been on board with Pioneer in the past, but his revamped staging has definitely help it click with me tonight:
Would still prefer Kállay but Freddie would be very deserving too!
That Freddie song is actually quite good - I've still got high hopes for KSB though as they are a household name in Hungary
holy shit pioneer is serving such hard top 5 at eurovision teas! *.*
I've edited in the running order above, and hopefully that suggests either Freddie or Kállay Saunders will win - either of which would be amazing results! I worry about Gergő who seems to have quite a bit of fan hype, hopefully that doesn't translate into votes.
Through to the televote-only superfinal is Freddie, Gergő Oláh, Kállay Saunders Band and Petruska!
Kállay Saunders Band performed twice after András said his earpiece failed in his first performance, he was better in his second performance but still far from perfect so is lucky to make the superfinal in my opinion - but I'm glad he has.
Freddie wins!
Yasssssssss
