Entering a song not in english is much much riskier. So 'risky' doesn't count then? No, risk doesn't count. If a song is against the spirit of the contest as a whole then it doesn't matter what language it is. Although it is unlikely a non-english track will be banned, I am not giving them preferential treatment. |

20th? TWENTIETH??? I HATE YOU ALL!
It's my favourite entry since Keri Hilson. GUTTED. Although I finished pretty much where I expected too. (So I don't actually know why I'm gutted really!) But congratulations to Rich on yet another win! |

Woo, 8th is A LOT better than I expected Congrats to Rich, SIAB got my 12! I thought Government Name was too generic to get anywhere, but thanks to everyone who gave me points, especially my 12s! Looking forward to next contest - I'll experiment a bit more with un-generic music in future to see what happens!

I keep trying to find songs that I like a bit that I think could do well but I fail almost every time.
Maybe I should start sending songs that I love and actually coming last. I think I'll send some black metal next time. |

I'm just going to send something I absolutely love next time and if I come last well that's happened before so I won't be bothered!

I always send something I absolutely love Lucky I'm not a metal/J-pop fan
My motto is 'if I love it then hopefully other people will', I stopped specifically hunting for success circa 2008 when I realised that it's ridiculously hard to 'guess' what people will like. |

The core part of my entry strategy is sending something i absolutely love, which recently has been rather successful.

Crap, I didn't vote. I even got a PM telling me to vote Sorry
I see I did awfully - that's alright, hopefully my next entry will be a little more BJ friendly (assuming it doesn't get banned) This post has been edited by Bray: 19th March 2011, 12:31 AM |

Crave is on release schedule.
*immediately loses all interest regarding that song* |
