Welcome To Round 11 of Least Favourite Disney Animated Classic and the 30th feature to bow out is "Pocahontas" which scored 10 votes and miles ahead of any of the others, meaning that we also lose another of the Disney Renaissance era, leaving 7 out of the 10 from that era left. Throughout the other rounds "Pocahontas" was quite popular, with 0 votes in the first 3 rounds, and no more than 4 in the last four rounds.

I think the next round will be a lot harder as the ones who scored the second highest votes with just 3 were "Tangled" and "The Fox and the Hound". "Robin Hood", "Lilo & Stitch" and "Wreck It Ralph" scores 2 votes, then finally "Dumbo", "Bambi", "Aladdin" & "Hercules" each scored 1 vote each.

25th Pocahontas = 10 Votes

"Pocahontas" was the 6th movie to be released during the Renaissance era and following on from the massive success of "The Lion King", many would say and I agree that this was the weak link, okay it's not bad or anything, just doesn't compare to the earlier ones. Despite the obvious historical inaccuracies which honestly I don't really care about, but as it is it's a beautiful love story between two people and nature, and it does have the best use of animation here with it's colours and atmosphere really makes it unique and rather wonderful. But what lets things down are the characters, they were just so bland, Pocahontas herself was kinda interesting, but the whole thing was handled with such boring conviction and John Smith was just dull, the villain while looked the part, but was just as dull. So on the whole a pretty decent effort that could have been much better.

So with 30 gone, there are 24 left in the running and just vote for your least fave and the one with the most will be out by the next round, which will be on Sunday 13th December.

Yeah that is perhaps very true. Colors of the Wind is such a huge part of the film though and adds to its magic. I do enjoy it away from this too obviously but the song almost transcends the film.

Anyway think I'm going for Lilo and Stitch now unsure.gif between that and Tangled...

I don't have a problem with it in the slightest huh.gif every film here is a massive part of me and I have to choose something. I adore every film here and have done so for a lot that have gone too, so no problems with it it's just the "weakest" of an incredibly, incredibly strong selection.

Jon I'll be joining you with Cinderella v soon ~
