You all know how these work by now, just simply vote for your Fave & Worst Madonna 5th single from her studio albums. There's only 6 in this selection, but still some pretty great & iconic tracks here, from the 80's & 90's, notice how there's nothing from the 00's or 10's. So sit back, re-visit & have FUN...

La Isla Bonita, Borderline and Dress You Up all amazing and tied for #1
Rain also good the other two shouldn't have been singles why didn't they release Oh Father as 4th UK single instead of Dear Jessie? It's a million times better |

'Borderline' is my favourite (closely followed by 'Rain' and 'Nothing Really Matters').
'Dear Jessie' is the clear weak link! |

1. La Isla Bonita 2. Borderline 3. Rain 4. Dress You Up 5. Nothing Really Matters 6. Dear Jessie* Totally agree that I would've preferred "Oh Father" to be the 4th UK single, but maybe coz it underperformed in the U.S., is why it didn't get released here. Plus for the 5th single instead of "Keep It Together", would've had "Till Death Do Us Part" released instead. |

The first poll is very close Borderline putting up a great fight <3 but I am shocked at Rain not having a vote yet!

I voted 'La Isla Bonita' for fave and 'Dear Jessie' for least, but it was pretty close for both!
'Nothing Really Matters' is often overlooked but it's one of my favourite productions from Ray of Light - the ambient, glitchy intro, the bass-heavy verses, the melancholy piano bridge; it's a great mix of moods and styles. It was between 'Dress You Up' and 'Dear Jessie' for least favourite. I'm a fan of both - 'Dear Jessie' gets unfairly dismissed but it's a lovely, nostalgic song and its placing on Like a Prayer helps 'Oh Father' become even more emotional. The chorus to 'Dress You Up' falls a little flat in comparison to the verses, but I figured the strength of those verses (and the immediately attention-grabbing intro) was enough to place it ahead of 'Dear Jessie'. |

I agree that Dear Jessie gets too much hate. It definitely works as a two parter with Oh Father and I see them both as accompaniments with Dear Jessie being the childhood happiness and innocence before some of the hurt in Oh Father comes in to her life.
