I never really got into the second album, might have to give it another go if there's hints of her releasing new material. 'The Family Jewels' is an absolute masterpiece though, so hopefully she can release something in between the two (nothing excessively poppy please).

So ready for this! I hope she leads with an upbeat poppy number. I love her ballady stuff, but I want something that will fully connect and do as good (or hopefully better - she's due a top ten). Really hope Radio 1 continue the support. She needs them.

Looking forward to this. Electra Heart took a while to grow on me. I dismissed it as her losing her originality but some of the songs were as good as many of the ones on the first album.

Still, Family Jewels is my album of the decade.

Oooh I really like it, I was wondering what sort of sound she would go for but it makes sense she'd go for something in between the quirkiness of the first album with a hint of the pop sensibilities of her second album. It's almost like a modern take on Miami Sound Machine with Marina's stamp on it.

I don't know if this will fare well commerically, but it's good and that's what matters.

I like that! Nowhere near as instant as the lead singles off the previous albums but it's got something about it drawing me in. Probably the zaniness of it.

Feels like it could do with more of a PUNCH but i am a fan. Love the lyrics in the interlude and chorus particularly.

I like it on first listen. I like where it goes. There's several nice melodies.

I like the lift in "Don't you give me a reason" and "yeah, you know that it's true".

As mr_aly said it marries elements of the first two albums.

The last era wasn't THAT bad. She got her first silver certificated single and number 1 album from it. The radio version of Power and Control was so terrible though, no wonder that bombed.

Teen Idle should have been released, and How to Be a Heartbreaker, while I dislike it, should have been pushed forward for a re-release.

I really hope Radio 1 still want to play her for the new era, she'll get nowhere without them.

I'm absolutely loving this now as well, the rhythm of it is just so funky and it's ladden with hooks throughout. Plus of course it wouldn't be a Marina song without some of her typical one-liners.

Not at all what I was expecting! She's really GOING for the retro look this era and I'm loving it, so glad they incorporated the dance routine in the end. SO fierce and those facial expressions - I have no words! But like fellow diamond Cremey states I'm very annoyed that they cut so much of the song out because it's a video, not a single. It sounds kind of choppy too but I think it's because were used to the full cut

It's as if Electra Heart has massively broadened her fanbase during the run-up to this, the song hasn't even been supported on radio and no promo yet it's doing as well as it is, especially the US is surprising - I don't think any of her singles got that high on US iTunes

Really hope that isn't the radio edit though, the pre-choruses are the of the song's biggest selling features - they really should just cut off an entire chorus and pre-chorus instead

Tbh I don't think even the majority of the chart fans on here understand what's going on with this new instant grat rule, and if even we don't know what's going on - you wouldn't really expect Marina's label to either. The fact she's made it available on a Tuesday gives me the impression its job is really to sell the album, a nice chart peak for the single is more of an added bonus

Then again it's still early days, Radio 1 should still get on board and hopefully its streaming starts building up as a result

Oh no, the video is stunning and she looks a DIAMOND but the song sounds slowed down and the best bit is out, WOT. I like the minimal approach she's gone for but i feel it needed a video that was as out there as the song is. :/

But that's a minor blip, i'm happy to see her away from the aesthetics of Electra Heart which really tired on me by the end.

AND so so happy to see the song is out now. Really hoping for something big for this, but it needs Radio 1 to get behind it..

I've been thinking the same. It's a beautiful video and she looks wonderful, but I'd have loved a zany video from her. A fruit machine one with lots of bright colours etc would've been amazing, although maybe a little clichéd I suppose!

Being the saddo that i am, i actually started to envisage and map out what i thought the video would be like as i blasted it in the shower she was actually a TREE bearing colourful fruit in my version and it was all sorts of amazing *_* Lol

I would've loved to see her go high-budget for a music video as I'm sure she will have enough money - even if it was mostly green-screened

I can see her with like dancing fruits and her laying in a field - like Only Girl In The World's field but yellower or darker for a winter video

It's such a creative song lyrically though, that i feel it deserves visuals to match that, but maybe i'm over-thinking it/demanding too much?

Although I'm not a massive fan of the shortened version used in the video, it does sound a little more commercial and radio will be more likely to get behind it now it's a shorter length, IMO.

I can't believe this has grown on me as much as it has the 'come on full your cup up....' Is my favourite part along with the 'ohhhh ohhhh's before the bridge. I think the radio edit has cut out the weakest parts - not that I don't like them.

I'm still confused at whether this is a single or not. I don't think she's referred to it as one yet and she may just be making a music video for each of her froot of the month song maybe?
