Best thing done for the site in some time was Joseph finding that little corner of the Admin CP. Very pleased we got it working

Potentially anything that allows site embeds is possible as long as the code is publically available.

Yeah, it SHOULD have been done years ago and I can't believe in all my exploration of the Admin CP I never noticed the BBCode part, and at least a good part of me believed it wasn't possible. At least we have it now.

Guys you can view all of the codes by hitting "new reply"! The "insert special item" dropdown box has all of the embed codes there, alongside an example of how to use them.

I did look into it and unfortunately I couldn't find a better embed code than the one we've currently got Instagram was the toughest one to locate in the first place interestingly so it seems to be even tougher to get one with captions.

Here's an example of an embedded Instagram post on another site, showing the full caption, and below that is how the same post looks when embedded on Buzzjack.

As you can see, on Buzzjack it shows everything except the caption and "view all comments", but in many cases the caption is just as important as the post itself so it would be very helpful to see both!

That's not the correct code! This is how it should look, as per the example in the "Insert Special Item" dropdown box.

I think the URLs have changed. My personal chart playlist embed worked with a bit of tweaking

Is anyone else having an issue with Instagram embedding on mobile? Seems fine on desktop but it just is either a grey blank square of there's a Facebook pop up saying there's been an error and to try later. The post is embedding but I can't see it?

theoretically it should be possible and not too difficult, I just need to figure out how to parse the embed code for a clean user experience (my first implementation is live but it doesn't work right now), I'll check if the others have some good ideas

edit: to show that is possible once we get some more eyes on the problem, I have currently hardcoded it to show one specific TikTok no matter what you put in between the BBCode tags, though graphically it's lacking

The YouTube embed often has problems I think, I notice when doing the chart prep that the videos don’t show and you have to click them and get directed to YouTube itself.

Some Instagram links won't embed on BuzzJack. It seems to me that it's when the URL is longer?

I've only noticed Instagram posts with longer links being a thing today.

Any ideas why BuzzJack doesn't like these longer links, and if it's something that can be fixed?

Still seems to be an issue for me to view instagram embeds on Safari even after clearing cookies and disabling any content blockers. It is definitely an issue with the embed itself and as Jay says it seems to be only when using Safari as I checked on Chrome and it indeed did load without any issue.

Not sure why it doesn’t work as I am sure there was a time before when I could view instagram embeds in Safari without any issue at all.
