Kylie Minogue announces intimate UK shows set for March 2018
08 February 2018 | By Jack White

The Golden pop legend will perform some of her new songs for the first time.

Get excited Kylie Minogue fans, the music legend has announced a string of intimate shows in support of her new album.

Kylie will perform at select European venues this March, with two of the shows taking place in the UK. The Australian singer will perform at London's London’s legendary Café de Paris on March 13, before hitting Manchester's Gorilla on March 14.

The Golden star will also play Barcelona and Paris, ending her stint of "special shows" at one of the world's most famous clubs, Berghain in Germany.

“I’m so excited to perform songs from my new album Golden in these iconic European clubs," explained Kylie. "Each of these venues is very special and - just as I found making the new album in Nashville to be so energizing - these shows will be new, intimate and fun. I just can’t wait to bring these new songs to life and of course, throw in a few surprises for my fans.”

Tickets for the UK shows will be available over on Kylie's website on 10am GMT on 15th February 2018.

Kylie's new album Golden, her 14th studio album, will be released on April 6. The collection features a collaboration with Jack Savoretti, and was preceded by the lead single Dancing. Golden is also one of OfficialCharts.com's big vinyl picks for 2018 - see why here.

To celebrate Kylie's return, we counted down 50 golden chart facts about the pop queen, who is officially the most successful Australian artist in UK chart history.

Bitch coulda come to Glasgow.

Posted by: liamk97 9th February 2018, 12:13 AM

I'm gonna try and do the London gig. Gonna be a bitch getting tickets though!

Posted by: liamk97 13th February 2018, 04:09 PM

Did anyone apply for the pre-sale? I forgot to pre-order the album so will have to wait for the general sale on Thursday, although if tickets are too dear I think I'll just wait for the concert tour.

Posted by: SmileyKylie 14th February 2018, 04:54 PM

So Meet & Greet is £965

London £100 normal. £265 early entry

Manchester £75 normal, £265 early entry

plus booking fees.

Some fans are not happy!

Posted by: Regina 14th February 2018, 06:50 PM

Some fans need to stop whinging.

Posted by: liamk97 15th February 2018, 01:59 AM

I think I'll wait until the concert tour. As great as it would be to see Kylie upclose and personal, I've spent far too much on Britney tickets. laugh.gif

Posted by: seejayjee 15th February 2018, 10:06 AM

Manchester tickets were £83.70 before booking fee. The price for M&G is ridiculous! Going to save my money for the Golden tour.

Some fans need to stop whinging.

Oh come on, do you think nearly a grand is worth it?!

I was going to go, but those prices are just stupid.

Posted by: Regina 15th February 2018, 12:11 PM

If I had the money I would pay it. I don't see why people spend hundreds of pounds on shoes or bags etc. or for sports tickets, but if they have the money and they want to
do it, good on them. Same with this. Expensive, yes, but for the experience I think it'd be worth it.

Posted by: Jack 15th February 2018, 03:18 PM

A grand to meet someone?! Okay then :')

I wouldn't spend it on anyone, even my absolute faves.

Posted by: Regina 15th February 2018, 04:02 PM

I'd pay twice that to meet her tbh. Her music has been me through some really dark times and I don't think I'd be here today without it. Seeing her live was the greatest night of my life. Stuff like that you can't put a price on.

Posted by: seejayjee 15th February 2018, 08:47 PM

The thing is, she has put a very large price on it. I'm by no means badly off but a grand at the drop of a hat? I just can't justify it. And i'm the guy who cried listening to Dancing the first time I heard it because we all love Kylie and we all have our experiences with her and her music but I really feel that a thousand pounds is taking the piss.

Posted by: Regina 15th February 2018, 09:50 PM

It's not really that overly expensive compared to what some other artists ask for, or what some Broadway shows ask for. etc.
Plus, nobody is forcing anyone to pay that, again, if you have the money then do whatever you want. What were people really expecting for a M&G and extras with
Kylie? It's not the end of the world if you don't get to meet her.

Posted by: SmileyKylie 16th February 2018, 03:12 AM

If meet and greet was 50 quid even 100 then she would have to do it 700 times. Everyone would buy it lol.

Posted by: SmileyKylie 16th February 2018, 03:03 PM

She didn't need or want this backlash which has reached all major newspapers etc.

Somebody wanting £17k for a Manchester ticket..... lol https://www.viagogo.co.uk/Concert-Tickets/Rock-and-Pop/Kylie-Minogue-Tickets/E-2590561

Posted by: liamk97 1st March 2018, 02:16 AM

Did anyone purchase any tickets for any of these dates?

Posted by: Spiceboy 1st March 2018, 11:48 AM

£1000 to meet one person! I wouldn't in a million years it's outrageous and so flipping greedy to expect fans to pay that much!

Posted by: SmileyKylie 1st March 2018, 12:29 PM

look as I keep saying kylie does not want to meet and greet every bloody single fan. They are not going to see Meet and Greets for £100-£200 as everyone would buy it. Its just a gimmick for those who can afford. its life. get over it.

She is doing promo in Germany 11-14th April I read somewhere.

I would probably say she will be on The Voice final in UK on 7th April.... other slots probably G Norton when he returns in April, Brit Got Talent finals week..... Commonwealth Games in Australia maybe something if it fits in but she did this last Games in Glasgow so maybe not. The One Show...... could also be a Kylie Special like An Audience with........

Posted by: SmileyKylie 13th March 2018, 09:26 PM

So as well as the Golden tracks

Today's London set list includes The One, Put Yourself In My Place, Breathe, Hand On Your Heart, All the Lovers and Islands in the stream.

Posted by: Regina 13th March 2018, 09:27 PM

I knew there'd be a Dolly song, and it is really good to see PYIMP back in the mix.

She did 10 out of the 16 songs from Golden.

Natalie Imbruglia appears to be there.

Posted by: liamk97 13th March 2018, 09:40 PM

Yes for PYIMP and Breathe!

Will have to keep an eye out on YouTube for clips of the new songs. I need to hear Raining Glitter!!

Posted by: SmileyKylie 13th March 2018, 09:41 PM

The London gig looks brilliant. So intimate

Posted by: Regina 13th March 2018, 09:59 PM

There is a strict no camera/recording policy for tonight (and maybe the other ones) so if anything crops up, don't post it here.

Posted by: liamk97 13th March 2018, 10:04 PM

Yeah good point, we can easily search for the videos ourselves should they pop up.

Posted by: SmileyKylie 13th March 2018, 10:10 PM

Jack Savoretti turned up in London for the duet! Wow

Lifetime to repair sounds good!

Posted by: liamk97 14th March 2018, 02:21 AM

Seen a lot of the one minute-ish clips on YouTube but I don't think they give much away tbh, like it's hard to make out what they'd sound like in studio form.

According to Huffington Post, this is the full set-list:

1. Golden
2. One Last Kiss
3. Raining Glitter
4. Breathe
5. Put Yourself In My Place
6. Shelby 68
7. Radio On
8. Islands In The Stream/SOS
9. The One
10. A Lifetime To Repair
11. Music’s Too Sad Without You (with Jack Savoretti)
12. Hand On Your Heart
13. All The Lovers
14. Stop Me From Falling
15. Sincerely Yours
16. Dancing

Is that ABBA's 'SOS' she covered?! *.*

Review from Huffington Post

I saw one of my friends post a Boomerang clip of her shaking her hair, so I can't imagine they were that strict on their camera policy.

Interesting list! I like how she's managed to get in some of the real fan favourites of her past singles. That's the sign of a knowing artist.

Refreshing to see a certain over-played la la la song wasn't on the list.

From the 30 second snippets, 'A Lifetime to Repair' and 'Raining Glitter' sound like they could be absolutely fabulous! *.*

I really like the rendition of 'The One' she did, too.

Posted by: SmileyKylie 18th March 2018, 09:59 PM

So Jack was in Paris

Posted by: liamk97 25th March 2018, 12:21 PM

Despite the supposed strictly no camera policy, there's been lots of clips appearing on YouTube! laugh.gif The 60 Minutes Australia account have uploaded a few clips which are okay to post due to them coming from an official site:

'Golden' sounds like it has anthemic potential.

The songs so far are a lot more upbeat than I expected.
