I’d take Jess over Anne-Marie any day!

I find Anne-Marie irritating when interviewed. Her personality is basically ‘I know Ed Sheeran’.

Anyway, disparage Jess all you like, she’s better at shifting albums.

I think a Jess/Anne-Marie combo rate is what this forum needs. kink.gif

True. AM's peasant anthems don't stand a chance up against Ginger Minj's Buzzjack acclaimed discography. kink.gif

I’d be so interested to see a Jess Glynne vs Anne Marie singles rate results.

Aside from 2002 or Perfect To Me being dead last I’ve no idea where the rest of it would go.

Even in her vast catalogue of bops, since when did Jess Glynne have songs as good as Alarm or Ciao Adios? Speak Your Mind is an A-grade pop album who's with me sarah11.png

You know I'll join you on that one Melanie C.png Speak Your Mind is genuinely one of the best debut albums of the 10s for me.

(and for what it's worth, I own Jess' debut too, it's a nice listen!)

Yassss taste clap.gif There's literally 3 duds on an 18 track album, for a pop record that's acc very impressive. When it comes to Jess I've only heard singles from I Laugh When I Cry but I enjoy a few album tracks from Always In Between, Nevermind and Rollin are bops.

I think I'd only skip Machine and Some People on her album, the rest are all solid! She needs to avoid something as generic and pandering as Heavy though (can't believe they cancelled Breathing Fire for that lol, it's a cute song but not a single!).

I'd skip those two along with Peak, Heavy is meh as well. It's the most bizarre single choice ever, ik it didn't do her long term harm but that over Breathing Fire, Trigger, Can I Get Your Number or Used To God You?

"Jew a Lipper" like really bitch? frankie.png

The way she covers her mouth and then laughs like she knows full well what Future Nostalgia is. tearsmile.gif Dua was asked by a journalist afterwards what her favourite Jess song is and she replied Rather Be. Gaga.png My Love would have been funnier though lol.

Jess Glynne getting 3 pages of discussion just from announcing a possible new song that we haven't heard a note of yet cheeseblock.png Queen of discussion cheeseblock.png

She's not the most unique or interesting artist but I do like most of her songs (albeit less so with her last few releases), so tentatively looking forward to new stuff from her. Comparing her to the witch Anne-Marie is offensive. x
